After her confrontation with her sisters, Tyiva felt a bit shaken. The Alkidike warrior had taken her few belongings and quickly crossed from Jahaur into Chibale to say her farewells. She had already left the mystic and childhood friend feeling depressed but her path was set. They both had agreed that she should follow her heart even if it took her out of Jahaur and into Oba. The thought made a small albeit sad smile cross her lips as she sat along the shores of Chibale and stared out over the waters. Perhaps she would be back one day but it would only be for a visit. She was going to a new home now but that did not mean she would forget her Sisters. It would just be strange to know that most of her nights from now on probably would be spent in desert sand and not in the comfort of her forest home.
She would just have to stay true to her beliefs while adjusting to life in an earthling country. At least I'll have Karo at my side. Tyiva could not help but to smile at the thought of the earthling woman who had won her heart. Things surely would be alright once she was by her side again. It would probably take her only a couple of weeks if she traveled straight through and found a caravan or a mount to help speed up her journey. Tyiva pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs as she stared out over the sparkling waters that divided Jahaur from Chibale. A wistful sigh left her lips as she sat in thoughtful silence, enjoying her last few moments before her travels away from home began.

With a basket full of fresh supplies in hand and an equally full pack hanging on her back, Vermina was headed for the docks to make her way back to Chibale. While Jauhar was tolerable, she always found herself feeling out of place and eager to return home. She loved her community, but honestly, did she have to be the one to cross the sea for supplies? There were other, much more adventurous sisters who could have gone. Perhaps like this lone woman sitting at the water's edge? It took her a moment to remember the other's name. They had never interacted much, but Vermina at least knew of practically every Alkidike from Chibale. Her intention had been a simple greeting and moving on, but something made her slow down. The other seemed deep in thought, which had Vermina walking closer curiously. "Are you alright, sister?" she asked, squatting so that she wasn't hovering awkwardly over the other Alk.

Tyiva found herself startled by the approach of another Alkidike, " Oh!" She gasped before glancing over at the other woman, " Yes, I'm alright....sort of?" She managed with a slight smile, " I'm sorry I was lost in my thoughts about things." The warrior moved so that she could stand and brush the sand from her leggings. Truly she had been so caught up in things that the approach of another had startled her so. It was almost embarrassing to admit to such a fact. Tyiva was usually so keen on her surroundings that it took a lot for another to surprise her. Maybe years of being away from Jahaur had dulled her senses as a warrior? She prayed to Aisha that was not the case. " You can stand." She replied sheepishly as she glanced back to the other sister, " I just came back from visiting with the mystic so my mind was a bit occupied. Do you live on Chibale? I have not been here much the last few years and often stay in Jahaur so forgive me for not recognizing you." Tyiva smiled, her voice light and friendly as she studied the other sister, " My name is Tyiva."

Vermina cocked her head slightly. Sort of? That wasn't very reassuring. Giving an apologetic smile, she stood up and straightened herself out. The mystic! As curious as she was, asking what that business was would be less than appropriate. "I do. I have been there my whole life." That would explain why she couldn't name this sister. "It is no trouble, Tyiva. I am Vermina. Are you waiting for the boat back to Chibale?"

"Ah." Tyiva nodded her head in greetings, "I lived on Jahaur mostly and only came to Chibale whenever necessary. I suppose we just slipped past each other whenever I came to visit the young mystic." Her expression shifted, sorrow showing through her small smile, before she glanced out towards the waters of Chibale, "A pleasure to meet you Vermina. I was actually just enjoying the view for a final time before leaving again. I am afraid I have a journey ahead of me and I do not know when I'll be back again to see such a beautiful view."
Her heart twisted at the thought. She would surely miss her home and she felt guilty for leaving behind her dear friend, but Tyiva knew her heart lay in Oba. What other choice did she have? Perhaps in the future things would change and she could visit more but for now she knew that it was best to give things time and distance especially with her family who did not support her decision to give her heart to an earthling.

"Yes, that would explain things," she mused with a nod. She was quite the opposite after all, and only went to Jauhar when required. She couldn't help seeing the emotion that teased along the other's face and voice. "I wish you well on your journey," she offered encouragingly. "It is always difficult to hear a sister is leaving home. If I may, are you going to the new tree or is this a separate errand that is going to keep you away?"

Tyiva gave Vermina a small yet almost sad smile. "Thank you." She replied with a nod before the question gave her pause. The Alkidike took a breath before shaking her head. "Not exactly. I'm following something similar to an errand but I'm afraid it will keep me away for a long time." A soft laugh left her lips despite the sorrow in her words. It was not as if it were an awful decision after all. She loved Karo and was willing to move away to chase her heart but it did not make the homesickness any less. She would miss Chibale something awful. Perhaps if her family had been more accepting of her decision things would be different but for now Tyiva knew it would be hard to spend much time in Jahaur. She would give it time and hope that eventually things would change so that she could visit more and face them again.
"Do you think love is silly?" She found herself asking Vermina out of the blue. "Would you ever consider it worth changing your whole life for?" The warrior glanced towards the younger sister, curiosity gleaming in her dark gaze.

Similar to an errand. Something more personal then? Vermina felt she had pressed enough as it was, and gave a simple nod in reply. No matter what it was, she couldn't imagine anything that would make leaving Chibale for a long time any easier. The question caught her by surprise, and she hesitated to answer. Love... Even more shocking was the face that popped up into her mind when considering the emotion, and she quickly shoved it aside. She was certainly not worthy.... There were different kinds of love though. Would that make a difference? "It can be quite the powerful thing that makes almost any sacrifice worthwhile," she finally stated with a nod. Meeting that curious gaze, she offered an inquisitive smile of her own. "It must be a great love if you are willing to leave Chibale for it. I cannot say I have ever felt such before."

"You're young yet so perhaps one day you will." Replied Tyiva with a soft smile. "Either way I do suppose that you're correct. I doubt I would be able to live happily if I allowed it to slip away now." Her dark gaze stared out across the waters as she pondered her decision. It was not as if she were tempted to go back but rather the full severity of the situation was finally registering on the Alkidike. Regardless of her family's disdain for earthlings it was her duty to Chibale that made her chest ache the most. But her dear friend had been so understanding and had simply wiped away her tears before sending her along with a blessing. The thought made Tyiva chuckle quietly before she glanced towards Vermina.
"I'm leaving behind a dear friend to pursue my love and that worries me. I wish I knew that she had others to speak freely with...my duties are slight compared to what she must constantly endure." Tyiva smiled as she studied the other Alkidike. "Forgive me for rambling but honestly it feels very easy to speak with you for some reason, Sister." She admitted with a thoughtful tilt of her head.

Perhaps one day. Wouldn't that be nice? She hoped it wouldn't need to pull her from Chibale, but having a love strong enough to make her consider it? It sounded a little intimidating.. but also so wonderful. Vermina kept her attention on what Tyiva was saying, interest piqued. Was this friend the sacrifice that had Tyiva looking so dismayed before? She gave a blink of surprise when the subject shifted, and a faint heat colored her cheeks. "Oh, there is nothing to forgive. ..I appreciate your words," she said, ducking her head a tiny bit with bashfulness. "Your friend, though.. she is on Chibale? I am guessing she is unable to go with you?"

"Yes." Tyiva replied with a soft smile at the other Alkidike's bashfulness. "She is fairly important in Chibale and I doubt that they would let her leave so easily." She found herself teasing though the words knotted her stomach. She knew how much her friend wished to see the world and that was why she had volunteered to become an eye for her, someone to bring back pieces and stories from the earthling lands to appease her burning curiosity. It was what led Tyiva to Karo in the first place...Aisha's will, I suppose. The Alkidike found herself chuckling as she stared back out towards the ocean.
"I suppose you would know my friend perhaps. She asked me to call her Dani, but many know her by another title." The warrior gave a slight shrug of her shoulders. "I hope you would not be offended for me to use a casual name like that of our mystic but it was her wish." The soft admission made her flush before she glanced back towards Vermina. "I traveled the earthling countries and brought back stories for her but now I have found myself actually attached to an earthling so I worry that she'll become lonely."

Too important to leave Chibale? Could she mean-? Dani! Our mystic! "You are friends with Danika?" she blurted with surprise. Speaking of casual! Vermina ducked her head apologetically, though she felt a light smile rise despite her embarrassment. "I am not offended. I believe you when you say she requested it. I have found.. that she enjoys casual from time to time," she reassured. Now she had to be careful. She instantly liked Tyiva, but it was still best to not let herself sound too casual about her relationship with the mystic. Attached to an earthling?! Was Tyiva feeling love for an earthling? How strange! A hundred inquisitive questions burst in her head, but she managed to keep herself reigned in. "Isn't it strange that our beloved mystic should have any concern of feeling lonely?" she asked with a hint of sadness. After all, she had gotten that impression from Danika before, and she wished it wasn't so. If she could give Danika more evenings on the beaches.. she would.

Tyiva gave a slight nod of her head, a smile of amusement curling up her lips. "Yes." She replied quietly despite the amusement that bloomed in her chest at the reaction from the other Alkidike. She wasn't one to go and brag about her relationship with the mystic but it was true that they were indeed friends. However, it seemed that Danika had made another friend and the realization made warmth bloom in her chest. A feeling of relief settled there and she found herself reaching out to grab Vermina's hands. "Truly? You are close and speak casually with her?" Her dark gaze gleamed with hope as she squeezed the other warrior's hands.
"I apologize if I seem too eager." She began with a slight flush before letting go of Vermina's hands. "I'm just happy to hear that since I have not been around as much lately and I fear I've missed many things." Tyiva's expression shifted at Vermina's question. "The burden of such a role often leaves one with little freedom to mingle and play, I'm afraid. It is why I was delighted to hear that she has someone else she can feel at ease with." Tyiva let out a soft sigh though she understood and knew how important Danika's role was it did nothing to lessen the burden that she felt leaving her friend behind. "We've known each other since we were young. Believe it or not she was a lot more mischievous back then. I suppose we have both grown up in our own ways....my path takes me away from home but she will always have her home here. If I may be so bold as to ask a favor of you, Vermina? Could you take care to watch out for her on occasion? I know that she seems strong but I cannot help but to remember the youngling who often had to sneak away to find some sort of relief from her duties." Tyiva shook her head thoughtfully. Danika had been so intent upon learning about the outside world through her select few warriors that she had forgotten about taking care of herself at home. When they had left to explore and bring her back stories who had been left to keep Dani company? She felt ashamed that it was only now when she was preparing to leave for another long period of time that she realized such a thing.

Gasping softly with surprise when her hand s were grabbed, it took Vermina a moment to realize she wasn't about to get scolded. In fact, the other seemed rather pleased? That was a relief. Tyiva must be a true friend of Danika's, then! She could see clearer how unfortunate it was that Tyiva was leaving... Danika really did not have many such friends, from what she could tell. Danika was a mischievous youngling? Vermina couldn't help smiling at the thought. Honestly, it didn't surprise her that much to hear. Everyone needed to grow into certain roles though; Danika moreso than others. Speaking of roles though! Eyes widening, the young Alk was truthfully surprised by the request. It left her briefly speechless. Of every warrior that surrounded Danika, how had she ended up being the one to approach Tyiva and be entrusted with such a proposal? "Me?" she finally asked. "I.. but I'm.. nobody.." She looked down at her hands with a frown. To be Danika's friend while near her felt so natural, but now she was scrutinizing herself from outside of those warm feelings the mystic gave her. "I wish nothing but happiness for Danika.. but how could I watch out for her?"

"I feel that you do not give yourself enough credit." Replied Tyiva softly as she reached out a hand towards Vermina's chin and gently tugged her face upwards. "You should never feel that way as a daughter of Aisha. We are all strong warriors in our own right and each have an important role to the life story she prepared." Her antenna flicked with concern as she spoke, her heart softening towards the younger Alkidike. Had she not been like this herself at one point in time? The thought brought a small smile to her lips, "I am glad to hear that you wish her happiness. I would say that even the smallest of things would make a difference. Support does not have to come in giant or elegant packages after all."
Tyiva took a step back and crossed her arms thoughtfully, "I would think having anyone to speak with on occasion can bring a lot of ease to one's shoulders. Someone to share sorrows with or to laugh with at a joke...a friend so to speak. You already sound as if that is the case between the two of you and that in itself is a blessing." The Alkidike nodded, "It helps her to have anyone who won't judge her in the blink of the eye or expect all of the world's answers from her. The Elders do their best to help but their expectations can be daunting I fear." Tyiva shrugged her shoulders, "But that is simply my humble opinion as Danika's friend." She pursed her lips thoughtfully, her hesitation evident before she offered even more to Vermina. "I would dare even suggest just finding small things to do to take her mind off of things. She is good at finding hidden places to meditate in but sometimes it is better to have company, no?" If the young mystic could even slip away on occasion, just somewhere nearby to be herself that would be enough.
A soft sigh left Tyiva's lips, "I apologize if you feel pressured by my request. I worry that perhaps this is me just trying to deal with my guilt of leaving. You just wandered along the beach at the right moment it seems." The Alkidike tucked a stray dread back almost sheepishly. Just as if Aisha had willed their paths to cross so that Tyiva could feel reassured and also give a little push towards someone to help ease her friend's burdens. Did that make Tyiva so awful to ask such favors? Her shoulder's almost dropped at the thought. "I really do hope that I am not giving you trouble, Vermina."
