Strange things appear in Destiny City all the time, so nothing seems out of the ordinary about what might look like discarded trash, broken glass, or pieces of broken jewelry. If anyone were to lean in for a closer inspection, they might find a beautiful, gemstone like object that is shaped a bit like a star. They come in an array of colors and almost seem to have some sort of light sparkling in them.
Cherish walked down the street, hands in her pockets as she walked along, eyes focused ahead of her as she walked alongf in complete silence. She was actually going over her grocery list in her head and looking around with a lazy expression, taking in the neighborhood with that look of someone whom was learning locations and sights and didn't yet have a total grasp of things -- after all, she'd mpoved there only a month or two ago, and she was still learning her new neighborhood. It wasn't the best, but at least it wasn't the hotspot of disappearances. a weighty title belonging to other neighborhoods rife with abandoned lifes, many apartments in-situ wqhen the cleaning crews came to throw out people's junk and over time, some creative neighborhood associations and apartment management companies agreed it better to sell off the abandoned items in rummage sales and yard sales, and it was through the horrible tragedies that Chewrish could even afford to furniah her apartment, full aware these tragedies and catastrophes abd sghe felt badly for the families, but... she needed to establish her home and belongings. There were no rummage sales today, however, instread a full compliment of star decorations and lights from the city for the Star Festival, and Cherish, for one, was lazily ambling in the summer air, seeming to consider if she wanted to go to the benefit stalls and booths or not, when a flashing gleam of refracted light flashed in her eyes as shje walked along, and caused her pause, the woman looking doiwn in surprise before she bent down and looked at the source with a sense of curiousity. There, stuck between the cracks in the sidewalk, was a small crtystal star, made of what looked like amethyst as she considered the gem itself -- yes, Amethyst. Shiny, but only through polishing -- the stone lacked the clearness a diamond or ruyby was prized for and instead marbled with a pale innocent seeming white contrasting dark rich purple. It had been set in a gold backing, and with great care, Cherish reached for the forgotten bauble and plucked it from the ground, looking around. Some children had collected cast-off goods from adults to run a charity event to help the City recently, and Cherish wondered if it came from that. She parsed her memory of the charms and nbaubles and jewelry carefully, ewwxamining the cool stone that seemed to shine somehow, and cocked her hjead,.
Perhaps, like her, and like the cats, it was magic. This was a sobering thought, and she examined the peice carefully, expression contorted in deep contemplation as she frowned, then turned. She moved it aropund in her hand, tossing and catching it carefully as she considered her fiond thoughtfully, and after several moments she rolledit around in her fingers before frowning. Odd things were always magical, always something to be wary of, and the woman continued examining her bauble befotre looking up. There was only one plaCE TO LOOK FOR THE OWNER NOW, AND cHERISH WAS MOVING ALONG HER WAY TO THAT PLACE NOW, THE WOMAN HUMMING A BIT THOUGHTFULLY AS SHJE CONSIDERED HER FIND. iF NOBODY CLAIMED IT, THEN SHE MIGHT SEE ABOUT GETTING A WAY TO MAKE IT A PIN OR PENDANT, BUT FIRST SHE HAD PEOPLE TO ASK AFTER ABOUT THE STONE, AND cHERISH SOON STEPPED FORWARD AGAIN, STILL EXAMINING THE STAR AS SHE WALKED FOR THE cHARITY eVENT. yEAH, THERE WAS NO HARM ASKING WHILE LOOKING AT GOODS TODAY. tHE REST COULD FALL INTO PLACE LATER.
