Prompt - Strange things appear in Destiny City all the time, so nothing seems out of the ordinary about what might look like discarded trash, broken glass, or pieces of broken jewelry. If anyone were to lean in for a closer inspection, they might find a beautiful, gemstone like object that is shaped a bit like a star. They come in an array of colors and almost seem to have some sort of light sparkling in them.

Dria was walking through the crowd, trying to spot her twin brother. Drew would be probably be on duty right now, his first duty assignment, ever. She was so proud of him. He was a rookie police officer and he was her brother. She loved him so much and was proud of what he was doing with either side of his life to protect the masses, even with his demons. Dria had her own problems and yet she fought to protect on one side of her life, but what did she do on this side of her life? Her parent’s company was very busy experimenting with protective gear and how to make it better, in the wake of recent Destiny City trials, so they sponsored HITS, especially Dria’s area, to work a project that, they sadly didn’t have time for, but they definitely had the money for - protective gear for ordinary citizens. It mixed fashion with protection, mixed everyday clothing with Kevlar lining, so to protect the wearer from slashing and such. They were also working on a few other touches. But those were need to know until they actually succeeded.
Something caught Dria’s eye; a twinkling. Like starlight, but somewhere near the ground, over in an empty parking lot. She turned and casually walked over in that direction. When she reached the lot, the twinkle seemed to dim. She managed to follow it to an old antique dresser by a dumpster. In the corner shaft, there was an empty cavity, and within that, there was what seemed to be a sapphire glass orb, shining like a star. She reached in and took it out, out of curiosity. It was warm to the touch, and glowed as she touched it. She turned it over and looked at it. In the core, light seemed to radiate outward. “Interesting.” Dria muttered to herself. “I should bring it to the lab for testing to see what it is.” She plopped it into her pocket and promptly forgot about it. She started think about many other things. The twins that Mom was going to have in November. The fact that her parents thought it was time for her and Drew to leave the nest, and so were kicking them - they had a deadline of Christmas to find some apartments, or places to live.
She walked by a magazine stand. She noticed a magazine, named Estate Now or Later. It seemed to have buildings that you fix up and keep or flip. The building on the front page, was a mess, but it held promise. In a Bruce Wayne/Bat Cave sort of way.. she looked at the price…it was, maybe doable. And she and Drew had fixed a lot of things up at Bones Engineering. She bought the magazine for $5.43. She’d talk it over with Drew later. And perhaps some of their friends, would be interested..
