Quote: The Destiny City Reservoir opened about a year ago and is an easy escape from the big city. It’s a five minute drive outside of the Eastern side of town and features clear water and sandy beaches--although, the sand here is notorious for squeaking when you step on it. It’s a hot spot for all fun summer activities, but it’s been back in the news recently for mysterious reports of some strange, aquatic monster. Some accounts say they’ve spotted a twenty foot long, snake like creature capable of rearing a long neck high above the water. It’s hard to tell if the videos are doctored, but there are too many rumors to dismiss easily. Something strange might be lurking deep in the water. Are you the type to investigate this or is it enough to dampen your waterfront plans? While you may not ever actually interact with the supposed cryptid, you can spot a strange creature in the distance. And, who knows what youma are crawling in the area, anyway? Legends of a new cryptid were like a fancy bat-signal for Reiko. She loved the idea of exploration and discovery, and of maybe getting to document the thing.
Further, with her new fancy magical powers, it made quite a lot of sense to her to power up into Asuka and climb into the branches of a tree not too far from the shore, get comfortable, and set up with a digital camera. Sure, it might just be some youma, but even that was pretty cool. Unequivocally knowing that the supernatural was real just made her more eager to capture it on video! So she had her perch, and she had her camera, and she was going to sit up here until she saw something in the lake.
....Or until she got hungry or tired, she supposed. But until then.

Now that she knew what youma were, Mahkaon was absolutely not about to let the rumor of something Big in the Destiny City Reservoir get left behind. There was undoubtedly some kind of big boss monster lurking in the waters, and she wasn't going to stand idly by and let it eat some sunbathing civilian! This was not Jaws. This was Destiny City! As she approached the reservoir, she felt a distinct prickling in what felt like a phantom limb. Though she had never quite really felt it before, she assumed this had to be the "aura sensing" ability of a senshi. Sure enough, up in a tree, there was a shady-looking girl in black that seemed to be the source of the feeling. It seemed it was time for Sailor Makhaon to officially enter the war on Chaos! "Agent of Chaos!" She declared, striking a defiant pose with one arm outstretched. "I won't just stand by while you..." What was this girl even doing? It almost seemed like she wasn't up to much, but Makhaon wanted to finish her speech. "While you and your people harm the citizens of this fine city!" Chaos people drained energy. That couldn't be good.

Asuka could feel the approach of someone from the other side, but she didn't really worry about it. Surely it would be obvious that she was just sitting around in a tree, minding her own business, trying to capture a monster on camera, right? Right. Obviously.
So for a moment, she didn't even register that the loud declaration from below could possibly be directed at her. Until she realized she didn't really feel any other human chaos energy signatures around here.
"Uh?" Asuka said, and she pointed at herself. "Me? But I'm not doing anything!" Which was obvious, if you looked, in Asuka's opinion, but she felt like it bared stating aloud. "And I'm definitely not harming anybody! I'm just monster-watching." She pointed at her camera, hanging by its strap from the branch above her.

Okay, yeah, Chaos Girl had a point. She wasn't doing anything. There wasn't even anyone around to drain. Even so, Makhaon wasn't about to just walk off and leave her undisturbed. "Yeah? Well, what are you gonna do later, huh? I bet, the second I leave, you're gonna get out of here and start draining energy. I can't just let you do that!" A wild grin spread across her face. She had a trump card! Probably. "In fact, I know a way to make you come down and fight me, woman to woman!" Taking a step so that her foot was at the base of Asuka's tree, she called out, "Trails of Fire!" A blazing blue mound sprung up under Makhaon's feet, wrapping around the base of the tree just a bit. She would smoke this evildoer out! Joke's on her, the fire wasn't even burning the tree, but she didn't notice yet. Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Trails of Fire Makhaon takes one step forward and calls the attack name. A blazing mound about 3 feet in area forms under her or one target. The mound will invigorate and energize allies and heal superficial scrapes and cuts. Enemies receive no benefit from the fire and may find it uncomfortably hot. The blazes last for 30 seconds before disappearing. This attack can be used up to 3 times per battle. Noir Songbird Forgot the attack blurb, sorry!

Asuka narrowed her eyes. Fine, this girl wanted to play? Wanted to insist that she was some kind of dangerous creature just because she was Chaos?
Asuka would show her exactly what kind of dangerous creature she was dealing with.
"If you want to dance, let's dance," she said, and she gave the girl below her a slightly mad smile as she swung herself out of the tree.
"Onryo's Grudge," she said, and as a cold fog surrounded her, she did her very best impression of Saeki Kayako from The Grudge--a creepy death rattle to enhance the creepiness of her onryo appearance when the fog cleared.
"Is this what you want to play with, girl?" She asked, tilting her head to the side and letting her untamed black hair fall into her face.Quote: Asuka speaks the name of her attack, and is briefly surrounded by a thick, cold fog. When she emerges, she has the form of a classic onryo -- long, stringy hair, bloodstained funeral kimono, porcelain-white skin -- and points at one target. They will relive a memory in which they caused harm to another person, large or small, paired with a feeling that Asuka is here to revenge that wrong. The magic lasts for 30 seconds at this stage, and can be used three times per battle.

Oh, now the dark senshi was coming down to fight her man-to-man! (Woman to woman.) Makhaon couldn't have asked for better! At least, until the senshi's magic came into play. Once the fog parted, as if the senshi's unsettling transformation wasn't bad enough, Makhaon was suddenly reminded of the first time she had ever punched her mother. Things were complicated, she'd had her reasons, the woman deserved it and she would do it again. Eyes wide and gaze uncertain, she looked back to the creepy senshi, and she got this horrible feeling that, for some reason, the enemy was here to punish her for her fights with her parents. The shock overflowed into something like a panic rage mode, where the meters were exceeded and all there was was a desire to correct this situation. "You... you've got some balls! Who do you think you are? You don't know anything about me, my family, anything! Who do you think you are to punish me for me fighting my mom when you don't know a damn thing about me?!" If it occurred to Makhaon that Asuka couldn't control which harmful memory surfaced (it didn't), she paid it no heed, and soon she was barreling towards Asuka, ready for a wild blow.

Asuka laughed, coldly, eagerly playing up the monster her magic turned her into. She ducked the angry, wild punch, and as she did, brought up her fist to aim a blow for the Senshi's exposed stomach.
"No, maybe I don't know anything. But you do, don't you. You know what you've done to invoke an onryo's curse." Perhaps that would be enough. A little mind game, a little horror, just to make this Senshi realize exactly what she was playing with. Or, at least, to get her to think she was playing with something much nastier than she actually was, because in reality, Asuka wasn't some horrifying grudgemonster--she was just herself, in fancier clothes, and that wasn't likely to change any time soon.
Still, she intended to play up the monster as much as she possibly could.
