Name: Hidden Colour: Green Height at 1 month: 1’4’’ Length at 1 month: 3’3’’ Build: Standard Markings: Blaze, Faded Socks, Soot Appearance: Hidden is on the larger size of average for a green and is fairly normal for a wher physically. This green is unfortunately not gifted physically in either speed or strength, considered average or lower in most regards. This lack of a dominant feature means that she could be geared towards any role with training. Hidden moves with a series of short, sharp, motions. She will regularly remain still until moving in a seemingly sudden flurry of movement, only to fall still again shorting after. Personality: Hidden is surprisingly insular for a green wher. She doesn’t like having people up in her business and can usually be found by herself or with only one other wher. This is likely how her pack will be happy to leave her, because the green is also not a friendly wher by anyone’s standards. Suspicious of essentially everyone, Hidden is fairly certain that everyone is out to take what’s hers or cause her some kind of trouble. Mainly Hidden is concerned about herself and that’s about it. Even her bonded may struggle to believe the wher actually cares for them. Hidden is selfish and not even slightly above abandoning or stepping on others to get what she wants. This is likely why she is so suspicious; what if others try and do to her what she would contently do to them? There are positive traits to Hidden. She is, most likely, the most intelligent wher in her clutch. Hidden is not just intelligent by wher standards, she is intelligent full stop. Observant and creative with her solutions make this green a spectacular problem solver. Hidden doesn’t need others to tell her that she is intelligent, this wher is completely secure in her abilities and carries herself with an undeniable confidence. That aspect of her is likely the most magnetic thing about her. Hidden is so stable that others cannot help but believe it. Positive: Intelligent, Confident, Imaginative, Negative: Reclusive, Suspicious, Selfish Inspiration: Hidden is inspired by The Invisible Man 1933. The titular character the invisible man, Dr Jack Griffin, or simply Griffin, is a brilliant scientist who makes himself invisible to make money. He does not know how to reverse the procedure and is driven mad, committing several murders. Although Dr Griffin dies at the end of the movie, the serum would be used to make people invisible in several later films, often with the looming threat of insanity. 1 month Stats: Hit Points: 0 Strength: 0 Stamina: 1 Speed: 0 Dexterity: 0

Name: Moonlight Colour: Green Height at 1 month: 1’5’’ Length at 1 month: 3’5’’ Build: Muscular Markings: Blaze, Points Appearance: Moonlight is very large for a green wher and has the strength to go with it. A bulkily built wher, there is not arguing that Moonlight is strong, but she is also resilient to go with it. This green can work for long periods doing hard tasks with little strain and would benefit from a role that uses this. Moonlight is broad set, her features blunt and rounded, giving her a rather friendly appearance by wher standards. Personality: Moonlight is not a wher well suited to human life. She is wild by nature and prefers to be away from settlements wherever possible. Her handler will likely struggle to tame Moonlight into what is generally considered to be a ‘good’ wher; her tendency to roam and animalistic behaviour acting against her. Despite her wild ways Moonlight is far from a loner, the green adores company. She will find in her life that whers are the best company for her, smaller and more delicate lifeforms potentially struggling with her exuberant ways. Moonlight will always want to be deeply rooted in her pack, striving to have a good relationship with all of them. Should she be rebuffed then the other party will discover that Moonlight is a most persistent wher. Whether it be in relationships or work, once Moonlight has her teeth in something there is very little chance of getting her to let go. It will quickly become apparent that Moonlight’s response to problems is a problematic one. The green is often prone to using physical force to solve her issues. In a wild pack she would thrive, potentially even coming to lead a pack through her willingness to engage in aggressive confrontation. However, within bonded whers this readiness to fight can be viewed negatively. Oftentimes Moonlight will find herself conflicted, as instinct drives her in one direction whilst her handler and social expectation push her in another. Positive: Social, Peppy, Persistent Negative: Wild, Violent, Conflicted Inspiration: Moonlight is inspired by 1941’s The Wolf Man. Within this movie the protagonist Larry Talbot is subject to the curse of lycanthropy. In this story being a werewolf was not tied to the lunar cycle, but the time of year. Throughout the film Larry struggles to protect those he loves from his new and violent side. Later films would see Larry hunt for a cure for his condition, becoming a regular and popular member of the Universal monster line-up. 1 month Stats: Hit Points: 1 Strength: 1 Stamina: 1 Speed: 0 Dexterity: 0

Name: Blood Colour: Green Height at 1 month: 3’7’’ Length at 1 month: 1’6’’ Build: Overmuscled Markings: Blaze, Orca Appearance: Blood is a giant among greens, with large amounts of muscle to back it up. Sacrificing speed and dexterity, this green has strength to rival bronzes. It would be a crime for Blood to end up in a roll that did not take maximum advantage of her copious strength and stamina. Sharp features and her size mean that Blood can be intimidating to many. Her movements are careful and deliberate, the green often seeming to be contemplating her next move. Personality: An extroverted wher, Blood thrives off the energy of others. The green doesn’t just enjoy the interaction of others, she needs it. Should she be separated from others the green will react as severely as though she had been refused food. Blood will have a wide range of friends and people that she enjoys interacting with. However, she will always keep a wall between them and herself. Blood remains detached from the fast majority of individuals she interacts with. Mainly it is a self-defence mechanism. The green is less likely to feel their absence if they leave if she never felt attached in the first place. Blood likely wouldn’t see it this way, she just doesn’t feel the need reveal those parts of herself. Few that interact with Blood would ever suspect this aspect of the whers personality. The green is exceptionally charming, managing to endear near anyone to herself, and discreet enough to keep her motives concealed. These are traits she has no issue with using to her advantage, manipulating those around her so that Blood always comes out on top. Despite her efforts to remain detached from needing others, Blood is covetous by nature. She wants everyone in her circle. The green will, from time to time, see individuals she doesn’t know and become obsessed with them. She needs to win them over, by any means necessary. Sometimes these individuals carry an advantage that Blood can use, but just as often she just likes the way they look. There is potential for Blood to become a matriarch; her charm, strength, and tendency to collect individuals all assisting her in building a pack. Positive: Charming, Discreet, extroverted Negative: Detached, Covetous, Manipulative Inspiration: Blood was inspired by 1931’s Dracula, arguably one of the most recognisable and well-known stories in the Universal Classic Monster’s line-up. The film follows Count Dracula as he moves from Transylvania to England to prey on unsuspecting mortals. Dracula easily slots himself into the social circle of the Dr Seward, managing to lure in and ultimately abduct Dr Seward’s daughter Mina. 1 month Stats: Hit Points: 1 Strength: 2 Stamina: 1 Speed: 0 Dexterity: 0

Name: Water Colour: Blue Height at 1 month: 3’7’’ Length at 1 month: 1’6’’ Build: Muscular Markings: Blaze, Saddle, Dun, Orca Appearance: A large blue, Water has a muscular build that gives him enviable strength and stamina. Although he is not especially fast or flexible, the blue has enough of either of these traits to be a versatile wher. More likely to take better immediately to takes of strength than dexterity, Water could be trained in different lines of work. Despite his size Water is a graceful mover, flowing from one movement to the next until he comes to rest again. Personality: Water is a quiet wher that likes to keep to himself and have things a certain way. His way specifically. Once Water establishes a territory of his own he will have intimate knowledge of every rock and stick within it, and very much dislike people messing with that. No, you can’t cut down that tree, he scratches on it. Absolutely not can you build a wall through this field, this is his field. Yes, of course he could go around it, but why should he? It’s his field. Water would suit a role which requires him to see off other whers or keep tabs on people, as he will do it readily. The blue is very territorial, and nobody passes through his territory without his say so. Water keeps a tight grip on his territory and everything in it, because everything in it is his, naturally. The blue isn’t outright aggressive towards outsiders, but he is definitely defensive, puffing himself up and letting people know what’s his and that he’ll defend it physically if they stick around. There’s a curiosity about the blue which means that he likes to watch people. From a distance, preferably. Water likes to observe the comings and goings of the people that he has allowed to live in his territory, they do such odd things. Water’s handler will find that he is an adaptable and resilient wher. Whether it is a physical or mental strain, Water will endure, and he will change as necessary to overcome it. Whether it’s a new role or a rival wher, Water is smart and strong enough to work through it. Positive: Curious, Adaptable, Resilient Negative: Territorial, Defensive, Possessive Inspiration: Water was based primarily on the Gill-Man from The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954). The last creature to join the universal classic monster line-up, the Gill-Man was an amphibious creature that lived deep in the Amazon Rainforest. The last of his kind the Gill-Man reacted aggressively when people entered the lagoon, killing several of an expedition team before they could escape. The creature would go on to get two sequels. 1 month Stats: Hit Points: 1 Strength: 2 Stamina: 1 Speed: 0 Dexterity: 0

Name: Ancient Colour: Brown Height at 1 month: 1’10’’ Length at 1 month: 4’6’’ Build: Muscular Markings: Blaze, Dun, Points (Thylacine) Appearance: Ancient is very large for a brown and well-muscled. More gifted with strength than with speed, this brown will fit well into many of the roles often assigned to larger males. With training Ancient could be a very versatile wher, able to fill multiple roles, which will be advantageous for a solitary posting. His features are as close to refined as a wher could arguably get, and he walks with an upright gait, carrying himself with pride as he walks. Personality: Ancient carries himself with all the regal presence that some might expect from a metallic, despite being a brown. A commanding presence, Ancient could likely get by on appearance alone if he really wanted to. Rarely would he have to however, as there is a distinctly hypnotic quality to Ancient. The wher is very convincing when he wants to be, easily getting others onto his side and doing his bidding if they are not on guard against it. Ancient radiates with the strength of his willpower. It is rare he will come across another wher that is of equal strength mentally, and even his handler may struggle should the pair ever come to a clash of wills. It might be that Ancient would be considered a difficult wher to bond to, were he not so devoted. Once someone has won his loyalty this wher will push himself to the point of death for them. Ancient will devote himself to few in his life, possibly only ever to his handler, but they may be confident that there is no length that the wher will not go for them. To those outside this carefully selected group Ancient is very standoffish. If they aren’t worth his devotion, then what really is their purpose. The brown sees himself as above almost everyone and can be truly ruthless should someone stand in his way. Only staying his claws for those he loves and seeing no issue with removing anyone else. Positive: Regal, Devoted, Hypnotic Negative: Ruthless, Strong-Willed, Standoffish Inspiration: Based on The Mummy (1932) Ancient represents the devotion of the titular mummy. Rather than a shambling corpse in this film Imhotep manages to successfully disguise himself as a modern Egyptian after he is discovered and resurrected by archaeologists. Imhotep was mummified alive for trying to resurrect his forbidden lover Princess Anck-su-namun. Once he is awoken, he sets once more to the task, willing to destroy anyone who stands in the way of his goal. 1 month Stats: Hit Points: 1 Strength: 1 Stamina: 1 Speed: 0 Dexterity: 0

Name: Misshapen Colour: Bronze Height at 1 month: 1’9’’ Length at 1 month: 4’6’’ Build: Standard Markings: Saddle, Faded Socks Appearance: Misshapen is on the smaller side of average for a bronze and fairly unremarkable in build. He is not especially gifted in any physical skills and will require training to fill any role well. The most striking thing about Misshapen is that even by wher standards he is ugly. His face looks to have been smooshed downwards, giving him a squinting appearance, and crushed looking snout. The bronze also walks distinctly hunched over, appearing to lumber when he moves. Personality: Misshapen is an often unhappy wher. He tends towards pessimistic and defeatist in his activities and his handler will have to work hard to combat this attitude. Fortunately, Misshapen is as eager to please as he is pessimistic. The bronze wants to be liked, he wanted to feel useful. Therefore, if there is a task to be completed that he can be made to think is helping then he will do it. Misshapen will be thrilled whenever his handler or anyone else expresses feelings of gratitude towards him. The bronze can be petty at times, and some might even call it childish. Misshapen’s response to someone being mean to him would likely be to kick mud in their face and then go sulk about it to his handler. It is unlikely that Misshapen could ever be rebonded, the bronze is steadfastly loyal. His handler is his everything and the bronze can scarcely imagine ever caring for another as much, or ever doing anything that would make them upset. This comes with two prominent downsides. Should his handler ever express disappointment in him, Misshapen will be heartbroken. Secondly, the bronze is needy. Despite having the usual bronze dislike of other male whers, Misshapen wants his handler’s attention desperately, and will be miserable whenever they are parted. He is, however, an obedient wher, and will stay somewhere if his handler commands it. No matter how much it might upset him to do so. Positive: Loyal, Obedient, Eager to please Negative: Pessimistic, Needy, Petty Inspiration: Misshapen is inspired by The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923), often considered to be one of the first films to start the Universal Pictures’ series of horror films. However, this movie is often left out of the Classic Monster line-ups, most likely because the titular Hunchback’s rather pitiable story and that he isn’t the villain of the movie. Within the film the Hunchback is a fairly minor character, often facilitating the plots of other characters. 1 month Stats: Hit Points: 1 Strength: Stamina: 1 Speed: 1 Dexterity: 1
