Strange things appear in Destiny City all the time, so nothing seems out of the ordinary about what might look like discarded trash, broken glass, or pieces of broken jewelry. If anyone were to lean in for a closer inspection, they might find a beautiful, gemstone like object that is shaped a bit like a star. They come in an array of colors and almost seem to have some sort of light sparkling in them.

Note: Each character can only find one of these! While you may choose to keep the strange star fragment, once you acquire one you can interact with a special event NPC and exchange it for another item. Information can be found here!

Myth sighed softly as she locked the shop up behind her. In a box she carried under one arm were a few small, pretty things for the charity auction. They’d sat long enough in her shop, taking up space. And while they’d certainly caught glances, no one had ever tried to buy them. Well, maybe they would now, she thought with a chuckle. Shoving her keys into her jean pocket, she hummed softly to herself as she strolled to the drop off point.

Maybe she should try to wrap the combs and mirrors up in cute little sets? She’d ask about it when she delivered her goods. Surely the ones running the auction would know how to get folks to buy things. Myth lost herself in thought as she walked, eyes occasionally flickering from side to side as random things caught her attention. Really, she thought, the committee had out done themselves this year. She could see the glow of the lights even from here and the effect was quite charming. She’d have to make sure to visit the actual festival this time. Last year she’d been too busy going through all the grief stages to care. Now that she felt more stable emotionally, she saw no reason to deny herself a bit of enjoyment.

As she passed an alleyway, a faint glitter caught her eye. Moving closer, she frowned slightly as she knelt and found a small, gem-like star peeking out of a small pile of dirt and dead leaves. Setting her box down beside her, Myth scooped up the odd little star and rubbed it clean between her fingertips. As the dirt came away, she was a little startled to see that the star was a brilliant, deep blue like a calm ocean. Even more surprising was that it seemed to sparkle from within, separate from the dimming light of dusk.

“Well, you’re not the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen,” she muttered to the thing as she retrieved her box and stood up, clutching the little star in her hand. “But I guess you’re up there. I wonder who lost you?”

There was little doubt in Myth’s mind that this thing was of considerable value and probably belonged to someone who would appreciate getting it back. Sighing with a touch of mild annoyance, she wondered how she could even begin to find the star’s owner. Standing in the growing darkness, Myth thought hard for a second. Then, with a laugh, she shook her head and continued on her way. This was absolutely first world problems and a puzzle for later. For now, she had antiques to deliver, a shower to grab and formal wear to purchase for the ball that would accompany the auction. Finding the owner of an inexplicable little star shaped gem, for now, ranked low on the list of priorities. Maybe she’d feel differently later, but for now, she had other and bigger fish to fry. Having settled the issue to her own satisfaction, Myth hurried off. She had so much to get done, after all.
