prompt A number of the local businesses in the area have come together to organize a charity benefit. In addition to a silent auction, there is also an evening charity ball. The community has been wanting to raise funds to fix up a few public areas for some time now and in the spirit of the Star Festival, these businesses have donated several prizes to the event to encourage people to attend. As one of the local residents you have been kindly invited to attend! Formal attire is encouraged but only required if you plan to attend the Ball.
"I like this fabric," Gryphon rumbled as he skimmed his fingers just barely against the shimmery edge of Landry's gala attire. It was satin or silk or something else he couldn't name, something slinky and yet still clingy, loose and spilling off the slender man's shoulders as if made of water. Gryphon's palms followed it up to where it had settled against Landry's hips and gave an experimental circling of his fingers to feel how it moved under his skin. Pleased with the slip and slide of it, he continued up along the curve of Landry's waist and over his chest to give a slightly less experimental rub to one of his nipples through the fabric.
The loud drone of his idling truck blocked out any evidence of chatter that may be coming from those few groups scattered along the gala's lawn. They were supposed to be preparing to head in themselves, but... Well, it wasn't as if Gryph was about to rush into any hoity-toity rich people formal events. He didn't prefer to feel like the biggest loser while standing next to slim and gorgeous and proper and perfect Landry.
It felt nicer in his truck.
And he wasn't completely unconvinced that he couldn't tempt his hoity-toity rich boyfriend into lingering in the parking lot for just a little while longer with the right motivation. He leaned more fully over into the passenger seat to touch his lips lightly against a bit of bare skin along Landry's collarbone.
It was a warm evening, good for hanging out outside with the windows down to catch that summer breeze. If Gryph had his way, it wouldn't be outside in a parking lot, but beggars can't be choosers, eh?

"I knew you would, you know... It seemed sort of your tastes. I'm more considerate than you'd think." Of course he wore something like this. Landry was no stranger to Charity Galas. They were likely the few outings he frequented, when it came to parties anyway. A man like him, with his deep pockets, needed to go and represent the Croix family properly; Lori most certainly wouldn't do it. Or at least, she would then spend the rest of the evening hammer faced off of expensive champagne and ruining their reputation.
No, he was the face of the family, and had an obligation to be here.
Of course, this was opened to everyone, so the thought of pulling up in this beat down, angry, loud truck hurt him less than it normally would have. Add that to the fact that his lover was here, dressed to the nines for once in his life, well, he could pass the fact that this was his transportation. A more than equal trade, though there was no way he was putting this thing through valet.
... Though there was another benefit from that too.
They could remain here like this for a time, the dark helping hide the roaming hands Gryphon decided to place on him, tempting him to honestly not even want to get out.
"Mm... The feeling is nice..." A soft moan left his lips, and he smiled briefly at the feeling of those lips against neck now. The temptation was there, indeed... Perhaps a year or so ago, the idea of hiding away in this truck, leaning into thick fingers that traced about his skin with such precision would have been absolutely scandalous. Now, he gave in to it, shifting, careful to not wrinkle either of their well thought out clothing, to get in even closer, tilting Gryphon's head up and pressing soft lips to the scruffy underside of his chin to return the favor.
"I assume you don't want to go in? It was such a challenge to get you in this far... But... You know you have to stop soon. It's not exactly dark, your windows aren't tilted, and... I need to drop off my check, remember? Maybe if you would have let me take a rental, we could have continued..."

He wondered what Landry meant by 'his tastes.' Gryphon's brow pinched ever so slightly as he thumbed over the folds of fabric that made up Landry's top, down to where it tied around his waist. He supposed there were some things he enjoyed more than others, but so far as Lan's wardrobe was concerned, the younger man looked good in everything: in the slinky dresses he wore at his photoshoots, in the crisp, dark pants he wore to school, in his fluffy robe when he got out of the shower, in Gryphon's massive t-shirts when he was getting ready for bed, and nothing when Gryphon felt bold enough to take it off of him.
Maybe Landry just meant it was new, and that Gryphon did always get a special thrill from seeing and feeling something he hadn't, yet. Lan's wardrobe did leave a lot of potential for 'new' things, with all his fancy designs and fabrics.
His hands traveled to Landry's wrists, fingers cinching around them and pinning to the seat of the truck as his kisses against the other's neck became slightly less light. Landry was weirdly needy at things like this, soaking up praise like he couldn't get enough of it and being a little too flirty with others for Gryph's 'tastes.' Gryphon doubted anyone would be paying that much mind to anything happening in someone else's vehicle, but it they did, they at least wouldn't be expecting to hit on any unassuming blonds tonight.
And not later, either, not if Gryph left a less-than-subtle purple mark on Lan's neck, right where the top hem of his satiny shirt couldn't quite reach.
"We can go in, if you want," he offered, his grip around Lan's arms loosening slightly. "Don't figure we got all dressed up and came all the way out here to sit in the car all night... But I don't guess I care about it not being dark and my windows not being tinted. I'm not ashamed of anyone seeing me with you, mm?"

When it came to the idea of 'tastes', Landry didn't truly mean anything about fashion. With the way that Gryphon dressed himself on a daily basis, the idea of him being fashion conscious at all was something to laugh at! No, he meant something a little more... Sensual. The tie at the bottom of Landry's shirt could be easily tugged at, undone, his pants could easily be slipped off, should his lover truly think of it. It as nothing about fashion, all about accessibility, and that was the goal. A tease for sure, a guarantee that it wouldn't take much to get to what Gryphon wanted.
"H-hey now..." While Landry had expected a little more of a struggle and protest to not go into the Gala, being pinned wasn't exactly on that list of expectations. Gryphon seemed to know all too well what buttons to press, what places to touch, where kisses should be given to simply melt the smaller man into a puddle. And Landry was far too eager to simply give in.
"I'm not ashamed you know.. But public indecency is a crime, and I have no desire to get arrested... Maybe... After this, we could drive out to that little spot in the woods we went to last year, and continue.. Hmm? Is that a good bribe to get you to go in, perhaps without you leaving my neck covered with your love?"
