Fein's journey to unlocking his gift.
Fein had always expected his family to live by his own way of thinking. Keep to the Homewoods and you will remain safe and sound, untouched by all the darkness of Vykeli. He did his absolute best to instill this way of thinking in his loved ones, but he was the youngest, and unfortunately the rest of his relatives couldn't bring themselves to see the world through his point of view. Perhaps they understood where this wariness had grown from. It all started from when he was just a tiny little thing. Growing up the young buck befriended an unruly doe. She had been full of life and took great pride in her purpose. Like her, Fein wished to purify this world once they received their gifts. They would take on the Barrens together. It was a tragic day when Fein discovered that his dear friend tried to venture out too soon on her own and lost her life.
That was the day he decided that not only was the world in need of protecting, but other Noulicorns as well required a guardian. Fein took it upon himself to step in when other's got to courageous. He would be the voice of reason. The protector of his fellow Noul. The ones he took the most care in watching over was his own family. His mother, father, and two darling sisters. However, he came to a haunting realization one afternoon when he saw his 'oldest' sibling expressing their passion for purifying the planet and restoring Vykeli to it's former glory, before the others drained it of all life and left it a wasteland. How could he expect his kind to live out their existence in some small corner of the world? It was in their best interest to expand, revive, and cultivate the world. Fein only wanted what was best for his family, best for the other Nouls he was dear friends with and cared for deeply. So Fein set forth, and he braved the Barrens by himself for once. He traveled without rest until he found himself at the base of Grandfather Tree. Oh, how he wished his old friend could see it for herself. With a heavy heart he bowed his head in respect to the grand white oak.
