The festival of flowers was over and everyone had dispersed back to where ever they had come from. Wynter had really no place to go back to, he had come from a far off place and really had no want to go back. He had wandered around Homewood, seeing what he could. Nah, these were strange lands and he felt more the stranger then ever. While there could be others with coats like his own here, he had yet to really meet any. As far as he knew, his coloring was unique in its own rights. Raising his horned head to glance up at the branches that waved over head, their movements almost in slow motion at times. Almost seemed ethereal to the buck as he stepped to the edges of the forest and looked out over the lands that were owned by the Others. 'What sort of place is this?" he muttered as his ears flicked slightly as if to catch the sounds of someone close by. As the large buck looked out over the landscape, Wynter wondered of a certain doe would accompany him. They had met at the festival and had left it together, though split ways afterwards to do tasks they needed to. Shaking his head, the sun glinting off the white curved horns as he did. Even the white ruff of fur around her shoulders stood out against everything, Wynter was truly out of his element. He was one with the cold places, snow and icy winds. Here it was warm and plentiful, full of life and happiness. So many thoughts flooded his mind, questions and wonderings. He hoped that he could learn everything he can about this place, before returning home... If he ever did go back... WC: 293

Lifting her head upwards she almost faltered if she could have. Spending all this time with her beloved gardens she tended left time to scuttle by her faster than she could realize. Taking off in a run she skidded over some stones sending her into a canter that was comical and rather uncoordinated, to say the least. It took her a few moments to reach inward for poise and grace as her stride lengthens in her pursuit to meet up with a waiting guest. as she made her way to greet him Muse'd mind wandered back to the festival remembering Brownie and the other nouls all out socializing. It was a great warmth in the air which made her feel welcome growing up in Homewood. Nearly every day she greets everyone and in return, she'd receive the same emotion. It was a wonderful feeling knowing you were contagious on a good level leaving everyone feeling accepted.
Trotting toward the edge of Homewood she saw him standing there, waiting. Eagerly, she headed toward him forgetting the speckled stones that slid under her hooves sending her flying again scrambling to regain balance. Once she managed to stop drastically panicking she skidded to a halt panting.
"Oh dear I'm not having a good day am I?" she frowned looking over at Wyntre hoping he didn't see her scramble like a foal with no posture.
Clearing her throat she stepped out again, prance in playfulness to join him, "It is a huge place isn't it" she chirped walking more stable to his side, "So much out there, I've never seen. Well, I have seen the ruins in a vision. I would really love to find those cakes again if they are in there".
A scary thought for that one she realized leaving her in a ton of trouble heading into a place with danger everywhere. In truth Muse didn't want to be trapped in that smelly room again but, to find those cakes might change her mind, otherwise.
Lowering her head she blushed horribly, "Sorry... I lost track of time watering the plants again". Muse wasn't too good with keeping track of time nor serious things but she tried in spite of things others might say.Muse WC: 372

Ears flicked slightly as something approached from behind. Not quite turning his head, he heard the steps skitter across some stones before the Noul caught their own balance. He was sure that the posture that had befallen the poor things was hilarious, just he hadn't looked. Pity. It seemed that the Noul had been Muse. Turning his horned head towards the Doe as she came up beside him and started speaking. "Took things a little slower, might be a wise thought." He said before shaking his head, nosing at her a little in a playful stance. "It is the biggest thing of the Others I have seen. We had smaller things back home. Winding paths that have started to crumble and fall back into Vykeli." He thought back to the black paths that laid along the mountain bases. Seems they were made for the Others to travel the area easier. He had followed one when he was younger, perhaps just out of his foalhood to see where it would lead. The end result wasn't one he wanted to speak out in the open. Nor did he really want to think about it. His thoughts distracted from past things as Muse spoke of cakes. "Cakes? What are those? Something that these Others left behind?" His head titled to one side as he watched her. After a moment he looked out over the ruins that laid before them. It seemed that they could find most anything here in all this rubble. But he was very curious to know what these 'cakes' were. He hadn't really heard of the concept before. It was all truly puzzing to the icy colored Buck. "Perhaps we can find some out here." This was his hope anyways. He didn't make much of a comment when she mentioned watering her plants and losing track of time. He did that often when he was doing something new or something he loved. In these new strange lands he had yet to find something that kept his attention too long. Really, he had just been taking in the sights until he came across the Ruins. He wanted to explore everything and eventually take a group back to his own homeland. "So, where shall we start with this place?" he asked looked back towards Muse. WC: 383

Muse smiled, her eyes sparkling as he acknowledged she was accompanying him. A little worse for wear but nothing her smile couldn't fix she told herself. It seemed Wyntre had taken interest in the ruins of Erli more then she had ever pondered going within those forbidden walls. Some things were better left alone. Then again most nouls treaded past the concept of peril retrieving amazing finds from a desolate place lined with unthinkable dangers. As he nudged her playfully, Muse blushed for being a little less graceful in her arrival even after she stood there for a bit. Clearing her throat she opted to forget her shortcomings facing the ruins as Wyntre was currently.
"It's where the Others lived in a time when we the noulicorns were but dreams to them" she spoke wondering if the Others possibly dreamed in the first place. For the time being it was a lovely thought so she dwelled on than dreaming about her species. Muse tended to become wispy, whimsical thinking about things no other mold would. When he questioned the cakes her eyes widened for a second time, "The Great tree granted me the power of the light who warms us daily in Homewood. It was a dream now that I ponder it over placing me in some room deep in the ruins. It was there I found that cake with" she paused sticking her tongue out, "a bunch of rotten stuff". The mere thought of rotten food made her gag even if she did love everything. It was rancid to the point of her heaving grass if it had been real.
Wyntre really set himself up to enter the ruins leaving Muse to accompany him or lecture the dangers that could simply appear to nouls unaware of their surroundings. Throwing caution to the wind she tossed her head playfully, "Well....let's go find out if they are in there then!" Flicking her long tail as it slid under his nostrils she headed to the entrance, "This way..." she called out. Trotting in a more graceful fashion she paused looking into the darkness.
"I better be more careful and stay by his side", she pondered to herself, "No telling what is waiting in there".Muse WC: 373

"Others? Huh?" Wynter mused as he stopped for a moment and glanced upwards at the crumbling buildings that loomed over them. "These Others, they sure seemed to make a mess of things." This was something that didn't need to be spoken aloud as it was something on everyone's mind. The damage that was left behind was massive and it was getting slowly healed. One Noul at a time, but it was getting there. "So you have visited this tree, huh? The one that grants a Noul their Gifts to help Vykeli." This was a place he had heard only stories of, from those of his homeland chosen to venture to said tree. He hadn't been one of those chosen, not back then anyways. Before he left for speaking out against the wrong those of power were doing. "Sounds like it was a very adventurous dream. There is no telling what was left behind by these Others." Though he didn't think there was much left of their food. Perhaps these cakes were just things the tree had showed the Doe? Perhaps not, it was hard to say. He had often daydreamed of what would happen if he went to the Grandfather tree. But those around him just waved it off as nothing special, just their coming to age thing. Something a 'commoner' like Wynter would never come to know. Well, to heck with them, he did miss the snowy mountains at times, but not those that lived there. "If there really are some cakes out here, like in your vision from the tree. I am sure we can find them. Shouldn't be that hard, Right?" he chuckled slightly, seeing these ruins for the first time, it will be like looking for a snowflake in a blizzard.
