Prompt
The world has opened to new possibilities. Where once they thought they were alone, now they discovered creatures never before imagined.
How does your character react to the introduction of Kahikina to Tendaji? This prompt can be anything, a way to cope, a way to learn more, even the first time they meet the other race. The main focus is discover and evaluation of this new world

He blinked as he listened to the sound of the vendors calling out news. Items that came from the new land that was discovered. Stories of a new people that had been discovered. He was fully distracted with them until he felt a tug on his pants. His orange eyes dropped down to the tiny hands that latched onto him. Gael thought that he would need to reassure her that it was alright but the look on Brexxa's face made him pause.

Brexxa 1
Her hands found and grabbed hold of her dad's pants as she stared in awe at the vendor nearest them. They were going on about the treasures found in the new land. Kahikina. Some shells and their beautiful luster. Gems found. Items made by the people there. Brexxa was amazed by the tales.

He chuckled and grabbed his daughter's hands. "Hey, come on you're not a little kid anymore" Half true. Brexxa was in her early teens now but she was still short and would always be his little girl. "You see something you like?" He was curious to know if maybe one of the objects had caught her attention. If so they could buy it.

Even though she was older she had grabbed onto her dad's pants so that she didn't get lost. They were still kinda walking through the market and if she was distracted then she could get separated from him. Being lost in a place she didn't know wasn't something she was looking forward to. Being asked if there was something she liked she nodded her head. "I want to look at the shells." Brexxa had always liked shells.

He chuckled a little and ruffled her hair before he moved his hand to her shoulders and steered her toward the booth that had caught her attention. "Alright, lets take a look then." He knew his daughter had a like of shells. What matori girl didn't? "Which one stood out most?"

When she was steered in the direction of the booth she looked at him. "I.. I don't want one I just want to know where they came from." She'd been up and down the beaches of Matori and scavenged for shells there. She could likely tell you what type of shell and and where is was mostly found.

So that was what had caught her attention. The new land and its treasures. He smiled at her and gave a nod of his head. "Alright kiddo." When they were close enough he hailed the vendor. "Hey there! Where did you say these shells were from?" He asked.
The vendor turned their attention to him then smiled and gladly told them where they had gotten the beautiful shells from.

She let her dad do the talking when they got to the booth because she was still a bit shy this early in her teens. When the vendor started to tell them where they were from she went wide eyed and smiled. "Kahikina. Sounds cool." She muttered. Looking the shells over she couldn't help the grin and look of wonder. "I wonder what other treasures they have!"

He listened and nodded along. His eyes went to his daughter as she spoke and he gave a chuckle when she mentioned other treasures. "Looks like they have some gems here and a few other things a couple booths down." He pointed to the stall he was talking about. "Take a closer look here and we'll see if you want to take anything home." He was still of the mind that she wanted to buy something.

Her eyes left the assortment of shells to look at the gems that were on display. She marveled at them as well but still didn't see something she just had to have, so she looked up at her dad then shook her head. Tugging on his arm she pulled him toward the other stall so that she could see what it was they had on display. As she got nearer she noticed a lot of organic items and some homemade things. "Oh wow.. those are neat."

He thought for sure she would find something that she liked at that stall but when she didn't he offered an apologetic smile to the vendor. Being dragging along made him chuckle again before he caught up to her and ruffled her hair again. Seeing the new items and hearing her enthusiasm for them made him hopeful that his daughter might find something that she liked. "Those are pretty neat. Which one do you like best?" He figured if he asked it might prompt her into getting one.

She was looking over a few things when she heard her dad's question about which she liked best. Her eyes moved from one to the other slowly and she gave a thought hum. Brexxa honestly wasn't sure which she liked best but there was one that stood out above the rest so she pointed to it. "This one has more details to it." After pointing at it she looked at her dad then at the vendor then back down, almost like she was expecting them to agree with her.

As she took the time to look the items over he was also looking at some things the stall had to offer. When she made her choice he looked at the vendor then motioned for the one she selected to be purchased. Before the vendor could become too busy he also pointed out something else. "That one too please." As the merchant wrapped up their things he dug into his pocket for the correct coins then handed them over as payment. He took his item then motioned for Brexxa to take hers. "Alright, lets head back before it's too dark out."

He didn't hear her dad say anything about her item so when the vendor picked it up she frowned for a second before she realized what was going on. Then Brexxa gave a large smile and simply waited. Once her item was paid for and being handed over she took it with a bright smile. "Thank you." She said to the vendor. To her dad she turned around and gave a small hop and a giggle. "Thank you thank you!" She hadn't asked but her dad usually spoiled her with things. "It will look really good on my shelf next to the Oban doll." Her head gave a nod as he said it was time to head back.
