Prompt
For years, the children of Aisha suffered with a shadow of failure. Their once-sisters turned extremist fled after stealing a sacred seed from their mother tree. It was a betrayal that shamed them, even moreso when they learned that the seed had been planted, cultivated, and bloomed a new race of Aishans.

The idea never had occurred to extend the reach of Aisha, the potential of extending her embrace unbelievable until now. As the Elaria tribe grew in the south, the Alkidikes sought guidance from their matrons and mystics, praying for another seed that they could use to their advantage. It didn't take long until Aisha answered their prayers.

Sending their strongest and swiftest to protect the seed, the Alkidike sisterhood set their eyes toward Belrea. They knew of an island near the north, uninhabited and ideal to plant a seed and test their luck. And so, they sowed their future, and a new tree began to grow.

Use this prompt to discuss your character's hopes around this seed, this tree. Maybe they are on Chibale, waiting for news. Or maybe your character joined her sisters as a protector of this growing tree. Do you expect a similar result like the Extremists...or do you expect more?

Training.

It was the word that described most of Verosh’s current life. In the early mornings he would wake up with the sun and venture forward to train in his favorite clearing in Jahaur. Other Alkidikes trained there but it was easier for him to wake before most of them so that he would not be bothered while he worked on his fighting form. Most over the years had accepted the strange looking hybrid Alkidike as a fellow warrior but there were still a few that sneered in his general direction. While Verosh just shrugged off their looks it did not mean that he was not slightly distracted by their colder attitudes. Even now when he found himself wiping the sweat from his brows he spotted a Sister darting away from the clearing just to avoid him. What he didn’t know was if it was his sour attitude that chased her away or his strange appearance. Some were simply shy when it came to interacting with the man who had such piercing blue eyes.

Still, Verosh turned away from the familiar clearing and decided to venture out towards the river which cut through the edge of the forest. Swimming, after all, was another favorite thing for the hybrid to do and if any of the Sisters could use water as a weapon then he surely would pick it up as his own power. If perhaps he had picked an earthling path he could have utilized water magic but he had decided on being a guardian instead. However, Verosh still enjoyed swimming and knew that it was a good way to clear his mind and strengthen his body. Years of training and then swimming afterwards had sculpted his body to be full of lean muscle which was only heightened by his Alkidike heritage that gave him more height and broader shoulders over most earthling men.

Honestly out of every way he had found to train it was swimming which Verosh enjoyed the most. The rivers of his childhood home in Sauti had usually been chilly and half of the year he could not dive into them without shivering. In Jahaur, however, the waters were warm and welcome to his skin which was usually covered in sweat and sticky from the area’s humidity. Even the rainstorms were a relief to him as he enjoyed walking through the forest while the rains drenched his skin. He enjoyed the feeling by now and could not help but to worry about the Sisters who had left for the new island near Belrea. Would they have a climate similar to this or would they find themselves missing the familiarity of Chibale and Jahaur? Still, he knew that they believed deeply in their new path. They would guard the new tree which had sprouted from Aisha’s seed and possibly usher in a new race of Aishans. Verosh was curious about how the new soil would affect the new generation. Would they be drastically different in appearances like the Elaria? He just hoped that the guidance of his Sisters would lead the new generation in a different path from the Elaria who were so full of hatred towards the earthlings.

His mother had actually asked him about the new island but Verosh had declined. He wanted to stay here because Jahaur was now his home. The last five years had confirmed that. Verosh enjoyed every moment of his life as a warrior and he was thankful that he could participate in that battle that had occurred several years ago. Protecting his homeland had filled his heart with pride and he would not hesitate to do it again. It was why despite the new tree in Belrea that Verosh had decided to stay in Jahaur. The new tree held hope for his pure sisters and while he wished them the best he knew that his home was here. It would be interesting to see exactly what bloomed from the tree. That much he was definitely curious about.

As he thought Verosh continued to drift along the waters - a golden being with skin that gleamed in the sunlight from the water that clung to his mostly exposed body, and he continued drifting as he finally enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the river. It was nice to be able to relax like this on occasion and to reflect on the past so that he could know why he was where he was today. Maybe one day he would go to see the new tree but for now he was happy enough to protect Chibale where Aisha grew. She after all was the most important tree to him as she had given him life and meaning.
