While travelling the Barrens you come across the skull of a massive animal. You don’t have the magic to resurrect it here but dragging it back to Homewood on your own would be exhausting or nearly impossible.
What do you do?
The tree vanished to void then to the barrens. Was he back to that land of the bleak and despair? Had the tree thought him too flashy to be granted a gift? Or was there just not an option the match his personality? This was entirely possible as he was too much for anything that was already in existence. Furthermore, was there really a gift that would make him look more lovely then he already was? While Zahir couldn't put his hoof on it, something felt off as he traveled... No not really 'traveled', it was more like danced his way across the sands of the area.
One sliding step took his hindquarters around, tail flicking slightly as he went. He reared up to spin the rest of the way around before he came face to face with something that made him stumble and fall back onto his rump. That was not very graceful as he looked up at the skull that was larger then himself. While he was all for finding things, but this wasn't exactly what he was thinking.
"Well hello there, fancy meeting you here." Zahir said with a weak smile.
The skull just grinned teethily at him as it said nothing and Zahir picked himself up off the ground. What the heck was this? Where had it come from? He was sure the large mass of bone was not there a moment ago... Then again he hadn't really been paying attention to where he was going.. Peeking out from around the edge of the skull he wondered if the rest of it was there. Nope. It was just the head, had the rest of it fallen into dust over the years?
"Where's the rest of you? Did you 'fall' on hard times?" he tried to joke with the skull as he looked it over.
There was no way in Vykeli he was going to get this thing home... Even if he had wanted to it would need to take about twenty clones of himself to do it. Rearing up, he tried at least rolling the skull, but it wouldn't budge.
'Sir, Madam" Zahir wasn't sure what it had been in life,
"You need to lose some weight. I can't even get you rolling."Giving up on that venture, his 'jokes' not in the least but funny no matter how much he wished they were. Sitting back on his rum, he looked at the empty sockets, the bone around them were cracked from ages of heat and dry air. Zahir could only wonder just what this beast had been. To this point he didn't want to know, with as large as its teeth were and sharp as they looked... He could only guess it was something that could eat him in a bite or two.
"So... Come here often?" he asked the skull,
"Not I, too dry." He answered his own question in a different voice to try and be the skull.
Yep, he was losing it... Just a little bit as it seemed he waited around for the skull to either shrink or for more Nouls to magically appear and help him haul this behemoth of a skull back to Homewood. Either way, his wait would land him to being just a smaller skeleton in front of the skull as if he were its last meal.
