 Art thanks to Cheereo!! heart

Name: Michiyo Age: 15 Gender: Female Race: Elven Bio: Born as a princess in the Elven world, Michiyo had many duties and obligations to fulfill. As well as many expectations to meet. She was very grateful for the life she had, however she didn't want it. She didn't want all the responsibilities and duties it came with. She wanted to be able to have fun, and be happy, live a life outside her birthrights. She had no say in the matter, she had no choice. She went about her life preparing to one day become queen and rule over her people as was expected of her. Personality: Because of the expectations and duties forced on her when she was alive she tends to act more mature and responsible than she needs to be, she is also extremely shy and lonely having no contact with anything outside the palace she lived in when she was alive. Now that she doesn't have the obligations she did when she was alive she's become more free-spirted but still retains her slight case of Naivete, even so she is extremely caring, and worries more for others than herself.

 A young elven girl sits in her terrace window looking out onto the forest surrounding the palace she lived in. She was no ordinary girl. She was the Princess, the only legal heir to the royal throne of all the elven people. The girl in human years would appear to be only 16 years of age when in fact she was maybe ninety or a hundred years old, and her birthday fast approaching. She was about 5' 5" in height, she had brown shoulder length hair, her eyes the color blue, which were accented by her kimono styled clothing, in darker shades of blues. This girl's name was Michiyo.
"Princess Michiyo, Princess Michiyo!" the royal advisor shouted as she wandered halls of the palace searching for the princess. "Where are you?" She said opening and closing doors to every room she went by.
"I'm right here." Michiyo said reluctantly, still staring out the window, out onto the openness and freedom that she wanted. "I should have known" the advisor said somewhat angrily. "Come away from the window you know the rules. " She added walking over to the window guiding Michiyo toward the door of the room. Michiyo sighed; her head still turned toward the window looking out until the last moment.
"Come along now, time for your lessons." The advisor said as she walked down the hall leading the princess toward the classroom.
"Do I have to go? Can't I have a day off?" Michiyo said, knowing it was pointless to say anything much like that.
" You are the princess and our future ruler, and that you cannot take a day off from. It is vital that you learn everything you can so you are prepared for the time where you are official queen and are able to rule, justly and fairly." The advisor stated, stopping in front of a door, slowly opening it.
"I know" Michiyo said with a sigh, her head now hanging down a frown on her face.
"Now chin up!"the advisor said clapping her hands together, Michiyo's head immediately lifting up "in you go' she said, Michiyo slipping past the advisor and into her next lesson.
Michiyo didn't want this life she had. She wanted to be normal, not a princess or queen or anything like that. She wanted real friends people who accepted her for who she is not for her station. Though she wished for this, she knew it was impossible, if she left the palace for a normal life, and someone else took over, the land of the elves would not be the same. For that reason and that reason alone she continued these lessons and training for when she became queen. She did it for the well-being of her people.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Look at that selfish brat of a princess." An older elven man shouted, in human years he was roughly in his mid thirty's. "She doesn't deserve to be queen!" He continued to shout as he watched the princess through a cauldron full of water, with the help of a spell he created. "I should be King! I deserve to be King after all of the things I've done for them!" He yelled as his hand came down into the water disrupting the spell, water splashing everywhere.
"Yes master, of course master!" His servant said "no one is better suited for the job than you."
"Yes, yes that's true." He said the comments going straight to his ego. "Something must be done." He said calmly a finger tapping the air. "If I am to be King, she must be out of the way. I am after all the next in line for the throne if something happens to her and she is unable to fulfill her duty." He said beginning to think of a plan to get rid of the princess. "But how do I get rid of her?" He said now pacing back and forth trying to think of something. "What if you snuck poison into her drink at the festival tonight?" the servant said hoping to get some credit for helping with the plan.
"I've got it." The man said. " What if I snuck poison into her drink at the festival." He said "no she'd be guarded like a hawk I wouldn't be able to get close enou-" he said dismissing the idea, but stopping mid-sentence.
"That's it. I've got it this time. At the festival after I've made my appearances, we'll sneak up onto two of her guards and take their places, then after the festival we go back with them into the palace and we wait for all to be quiet when she's sleeping, we'll sneak into her room, and that's when we kill her. " He said an evil smirk on his face. "It's genius" he said laughing maniacally. The servant gulped "w-we s-sir?" The servant asked hesitantly as he stuttered.
"Yes we!" He shouted angrily "Do you honestly think that I, Takashi the head of the Royal Council and someone of my noble stature, would actually do such a dirty task myself? " He said.
"Well no sir. But.. "
"Of course I wouldn't. That's why your coming to do the work for me. I just want to be there to see it all happen." He said "now go! Prepare the horses and get everything else ready I have work to do. " He commanded.
"Yes sir, right away sir." He said rushing off to do what he was told, he didn't like this, he didn't want to have murder on his hands.
"Now to make a sleeping gas for the other guards around the princess." The man said once again laughing maniacally.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Evening came and the festival had begun. Elves of every age lined the streets, dancing, laughing and enjoying themselves. It was the one night of the entire year, that the Princess was ever allowed to leave the confines of the palace.
"Good evening, princess" Takashi said as charmingly as possible, while secretly inside he was overflowing with evil.
"Good evening" Princess Michiyo said in response walking past him looking around, enjoying the sights, smells and everything about the festival.
"And how are you this fine evening?" He asked walking along beside her separated only by the two guards on either side.
" I'm fine, just happy to be able to walk on my own, and be among my people. " She replied, trying to ignore him a tad bit.
" Ah Good, good. Well enjoy your evening. I must be off." He said and quickly made his departure. making sure to stay a good distance away from them, he began to follow them, waiting for the perfect moment to set his plan into motion. Hours went by and still no opportunity presented itself to Takashi, until finally they ended up in a less crowded area of the city. Two guards were looking away from the princess and the other guards and were left a short way behind. Quickly Takashi and his servant made their move, knocking out the two guards being sure to not make too much noise so they didn't attract attention. They dragged the bodies into a dark alleyway quickly changing clothes with the guards. Then casually walking out of the alleyway and quickly caught up as the two guards that they had switched places with were being called to hurry up.
Several more hours went by and the festival began to come to a close, no one suspecting a thing. Takashi's plan was going smoothly so far.
"I think it's time we return to the palace. I'm getting very tired. " Michiyo said to one of her guards.
"Right away your highness." The guard said in response, and they made their way back toward the palace, escorting her up to her bed chambers. The guards stopping outside the door. " We will be out here all night, sleep well your highness. " The same guard said upon arrival to the bed chambers.
"Good night everyone." The princess said as she went into the room, she was exhausted so she immediately went over to her bed, lying down on it. She was too tired to change her clothing. She fell asleep almost instantly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"We'll have shifts of two people every four hours. You two will stay for the first shift. " The main guard said pointing to Takashi and his servant.
"Understood" they said in unison, continuing their act of being the guards. The plan was going extremely well for Takashi.
"See you in four hours. " The head guard said, as he and the other guard retired to their bedchambers for some much needed rest.
"This is perfect." Takashi said quietly laughing slightly. "Do you have it?" he asked his servant.
"Yes sir, it's right here." The servant said as he pulled out a small silver elven dagger, a dagger that had gone missing many years ago.
"Very good." He said now extremely pleased, pulling out two white cloths "take this and cover your mouth and nose with it." He said tossing the servant one cloth, covering his own mouth and nose with the other. He then pulled out a bottle filled with some sort of green liquid inside. He pulled the stopper on the bottle and a green gas began to escape from the bottle.
"What's that sir?" the servant asked as he watched his master set the bottle on the ground.
"It's a sleeping gas, so no one will see who has done the deed to be done." He said proudly
"Very clever sir" the servant said
"Naturally." Takashi said, "now let's get to work!" he said quietly opening the door to the princess' room. Takashi walked in first, beckoning his servant to follow. Both quietly snuck into the room. "You know what to do" Takashi hissed at his servant.
The servant gulped, taking a deep breath as he approached the bed dagger raised above his head as he prepared himself for what he was told to do. As he got closer, he became more and more nervous, he didn't want to do this.
"I-I c-can't . . . " he whispered
"What did you say?" Takashi said
"I can't do it."The servant repeated as he started to cry.
Takashi became angry " get out of my way!" Takashi said as he pushed his servant to the side. " And give me that I'll do it myself. " He said grabbing the dagger from his servant. Resulting in the servant falling over and knocking things over as he fell, causing a series of loud crashes.
The noise woke the princess, she quickly sat up looking around to see what had caused the noise, she let out a gasp when she saw who was in her room.
"Ah. Princess so glad to see you awake." Takashi said. "Takashi! How did you get in here?! Guards, guards!" The princess called out, but no one came.
"Oh I'm sorry they won't be joining us." He said you see they felt extremely tired so they went off to bed."
"What have you done?" she asked.
"What me? Nothing.." he said coyly." .. Yet." He added after a moment of silence. "You see princess, I want to be King, " He said staring at the princess watching the fear rise in her and fill her eyes.
Slowly the princess got out of her bed on the opposite side Takashi was standing by, slowly backing up to the other end of the room.
"And there really is only one way for that to happen." Takashi continued, as he made is way around the bed closer and closer toward Michiyo. Michiyo went all the way to the end of the room and ended up hitting the wall.
"Do you know what has to happen in order for me to be king?" he asked her an evil grin spread across his face.
" I have to die . . . " she said quietly through her whimpers of pure terror, tears beginning to stream down her face.
"That's right you have to die, and so here I am, about to kill you." He said as he walked closer and closer to her.
Michiyo slide along the wall heading for a corner of the room trying to get away from him. "Please no, don't kill me! I don't want to die. " She cried out, falling over into the corner, crying hysterically slowly getting back up. "Please, I don't want to die. I don't want to die. Somebody help me!" she repeated over and over again. "Please somebody."
"I'm afraid no one will come save you, and I'm afraid I won't spare your life either. I'm the only one fit to rule this kingdom." Takashi said as he lifted the dagger above the princess, watching as she shook in fear, her tears streaming down her face, as she repeated over and over again "I don't want to die. "
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sleeping gas had not yet reached the opposite end of the palace and because it was so quiet in the palace the sound of the crashes was carried to the other end. Where the advisor's bedchambers were. She heard the crashes and headed toward where she heard the sounds coming from running as fast as she could, for she could feel it deep down inside of her that something horrible was going to happen. She was no more than twenty feet away from the door to the princess' bedchambers when she heard the scream of the princess, a scream that no one would ever forget had they heard it. She slowly began to walk to the door, hearing voices from inside the room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Michiyo's eyes were filled with fear and sorrow, tears still continually falling down her face, now whispering " I don't want to die" over and over again as she looked up into his eyes pleading for her life. "Good- bye Princess" Takashi said as he brought the dagger down directly into her heart. A gasp escaped from the princess' throat as she looked at him in shock falling backward into the corner. Still she continued to repeat "I don't want to die" up to her last breath.
"It is finished." Takashi said laughing hysterically. " come let's go quickly the gas is wearing off" he said to his servant the two of them escaping through the window
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The advisor made it to the door, and looked inside. She dropped to her knees, a hand over her mouth in shock. She screamed. The guards heard the scream and immediately came, and saw what had happened. " Who did this? " They asked the advisor, she just simply shook her head staring in shock and horror.

 To most fire is a deadly, destructive force. It brings nothing but disaster and despair to those in their path, and leaving nothing in its wake. What isn’t realized, that without fire, many things would not grow. A pine tree, for instance, needs fire to release the seeds from their pods for new trees to grow naturally, so nature makes up for its destruction. Where it brings destruction it brings new life forth. With every spark dispersed from the flames, brings the chance of rebirth, and new life......
In a very distant forest a fire raged growing larger and larger, with no end in sight. A single spark escaped from the madness raging onward in the forest, escaping into a field. A small creature slowly forming from the spark as it was blown through the air by a strong yet gentle wind, far away from the fire it had come from.
The small creature landed gently on the ground and appeared to be in a sleep like state
“Hello?” a small meek voice asked, the small creature began to open her eyes and looked around slowly.
“Ah! You’re awake!” the voice exclaimed happily. “ I’m so glad, you had me worried for a bit there” the voice continued.
The small creature was confused “Who are you?” she asked stumbling at bit, her first time speaking.
“Oh! I’m sorry, My name is Michiyo, I’m here to take care of you” Michiyo replied, embarrassed that she had forgotten to introduce herself.
“Nice to meet you, Michiyo....I’m....um...” the creature said, trying to think of her name,
“You don’t have a name yet..do you?” Michiyo asked.
She shook her head. “ no I don’t ...” she said sadly
“Then we’ll have to give you a name!” Michiyo said beginning to think of a name suitable for her. “Hmm... how does.. Chihiro sound?” Michiyo asked.
“I like it. Thank you..” Chihiro said. “ My name is Chihiro. “ it said a smile appearing on her face.
“Your welcome!.” Michiyo said glad that the small creature she had been sent to take after liked the name she had chosen for her.
“Um.. Where exactly are you? And what am I? I have many questions.” Chihiro asked, standing up slowly to look around a bit more. Then beginning to slowly walk, another first for her.
“I’m afraid your unable to see me, but I am here, don’t worry.” Michiyo said following closely beside Chihiro... slowly explaining many things to her, answering as much as she could, to as many questions as she could....

[The Journey Onward!]
"So you were an elf back where you came from?" Chihiro asked as she sauntered along in the direction she randomly had chosen to walk in, unsure of if she was going the right way to get to wherever she felt she had to get to.
"Yup, I was the princess of the elves where I came from actually. " Michiyo said, sadness seeping through her essence.
"So then why’d you leave?" Chihiro asked curiously, she wanted to know as much as she could about her guardian, and her friend.
"...." Michiyo didn't know how to answer such a question, she in truth didn’t want to leave her home world, she loved her people even if they forced her into a life she didn’t want. She had no choice but to leave there, she had been murdered, her ties to that world had been severed.
That’s why she came here, she wasn’t able to fulfill what she wanted to there so she decided to do what she could here. With someone who needed her...
“.....Hello? Are you still here?” Chihiro’s voice breaking through Michiyo’s train of thought.
“Huh?” Michiyo said not quite catching what Chihiro had said having been so deep in thought.
“I said ‘Are you still there’” Chihiro said repeating herself. “ But obviously you are since you finally answered at least that question” Chihiro said a little annoyed, a new emotion for her to be feeling.
“ I’m sorry, I got lost in thought” Michiyo said completely apologetic.
“It’s okay....” Chihiro replied happily. “ So are you going to answer the other question?” Chihiro asked.
“What question?” Michiyo asked confused, though completely honest. She had no idea what question she was referring to.
“Never mind....” Chihiro said with a sigh. “ Can we take a break though I’m getting tired from all this walking. “ Chihiro said.
“Of course” Michiyo said, watching the small Zahdl creature, she had named Chihiro lie down amongst the tall grass of the field she had found her in.
“Thank You!” Chihiro said relieved, slowly lying down, quickly falling into a deep, deep sleep.
“Sweet dreams” Michiyo said to Chihiro as she ‘stood’ watch over her.
