When Tochi had gotten the call, she had been more than a little confused at first- Rune, her feline idol-loving best friend, had gotten turned into a human... and was suddenly needing a place to stay. Almost immediately, Tochi had sprung into action, and offered up her place to stay at; Rune could borrow some of her clothes, even, and Tochi even offered to take her shopping for new ones. Of course, she did all this without ever consulting Morie, her sister whom she shared her room with, but Morie knew about Rune, so it was all fine, right? Right! Again without ever discussing this with Morie or even just waiting for her to get home in the first place, Tochi went to work in setting up a place for Rune to sleep in their shared room, moving things around, some of them Morie's, trying to make it look as inviting and idol friendly as possible. The two of them were going to have so much fun, and for once, Rune would be able to enjoy the rhythm games at the arcade without Tochi having to sneak her in, too! Finally, after what seemed like an eternity too long, Tochi had set together a decent-looking living space, if she did say so herself. Now all that was left to do was wait... Quote: set sometime in the middle of cat shenanigans but before the orp. for context, kalani kicked rune out bc lani lol

Rune, who was armed with a disposable phone and prepaid plan, followed the coordinates to Tochi's house. She skipped lightly, swinging her borrowed duffel bag filled with various treats, the bare minimum to get by, and her cherished memorabilia. She can't wait to see Tochi!! Earlier... Lani confessed sourly that she cannot be seen walking alongside Rune at all, that she was most busy, but Rune may do a few things... such as choosing to borrow one of Lani's forgotten, never-to-be-seen-until-it-mattered duffel bag, fill it to the brim, and take it with her to sleepover at Tochi's house. Needless to say, Rune brightened at the idea, and put that plan into motion. Moreover, she was touched by Lani's gesture of kindness, that even she has a shred of compassion for her wayward and bumbling roommate of a (temporarily former) cat. In the back of her mind, Rune felt that it was strange that she no longer bore the telltale cat ears or even a tail, BUT she greatly appreciated the humanly access of multiple digits, which made it much, MUCH easier to play mobile rhythm games. Now that she has then, for some unknown reason, Rune couldn't help but think of the many possibilities she can now do as a full human. Soon, Rune ceased skipping and humming as she found herself in front of the door to Tochi's home. She gingerly lifted a finger and pressed the doorbell. 'It's almost showtime,' she thought, grinning ear to ear. She can't wait to spend some odd days together with Tochi... and quite forgetting about the other heads that lived in that household. Merurulince ..sorry for the bad on the spot writing! ... doing this at work and on a work PC at that is kind of challenging.

The doorbell rang, and Tochi eagerly rushed to answer. There was only one person who that could possibly be, after all, and she was very excited to get to have her over. Kalani had previously dumped dropped Rune off at her house a few times before, but that was when Rune was a cat- otherwise, their communications tended to be of the online variety. Throwing open the door (because she was the only one home anyway), Tochi immediately moved to embrace the cat-turned-human in a big hug. "You made it!" she cheered, glad to see that Rune's sense of direction hadn't been affected by the whole... whatever it was that was happening. "I set up a spot for you in my room, and you can borrow some of my clothes, too!" she told Rune, "We're going to have so much fun- we should totally visit the arcade tomorrow, and we should get you some cute clothes of your own..." Tochi rambled on, listing all the things the two of them could do while Rune was staying with her, not once stopping to think about what Morie would think about all of this.

Rune's eyes sparkled, grinning from ear to ear. She chuckled happily, hugging Tochi warmly in return. She vivaciously replied, "Tochi! It's so delightful to be here! And, I'm soo excited for what we'll do for the while! And sharing clothes?! I do hope I look stellar in them!" In the back of Rune's mind, her tail would sway happily. She's aware that she's no dog, but her instinctual subconscious attempt to express her delight enveloped her nonetheless. 'Anyway, I may as well make the best of this strange situation!' Rune reminded herself of this recent mantra as she stepped inside into Tochi's home, dragging her perhaps now near-meaningless duffel bag in tow. Merurulince sorry that it's late, and sorry if this sounds weird, but I tried!!

The Shimotsuki household was moderately spacious, enough to accommodate three young adults and their hobbies, though Morie and Tochi shared a room with each other, if only out of shared hobbies and their close (sisterly) bond, which admittedly was waning over the years. Still, it was big enough for the family, and big enough to temporarily board one cat-turned human... somewhat. Well, technically with Rune sharing Tochi and Morie's room, things were bound to get somewhat cramped for the girls, but Tochi hadn't really given that much thought, only thinking about how she couldn't possibly allow Rune to be on her lonesome in the spare room. After all, what if something happened in the middle of the night, to where Rune needed Tochi's help? Also, it just didn't seem right for two close friends to stay in different rooms, not when all of Tochi's recording equipment was in her and Morie's room. "I picked out a few outfits for you already, but you can take a look in my closet and pick out anything you like!" she told Rune, as she beckoned her further into the house, and towards her room, "Oh, but first, are you hungry?"

Tochi's inquiry was impressively timed. On cue, Rune's stomach grumbled. Rune grinned sheepishly, "Yeah, looks like I am hungry! ... I didn't eat very much before I left, you see..." Rune couldn't help but reflect on what happened earlier in the day. Well, before leaving home, Rune was only given a cereal bar of a sort and a fruit juice box that Kalani fished out from the fridge in haste. And, with a stupendous flurry of excuses for Rune to digest from the swift Lani, she was out at the doorstep along with her duffel bag of who knows what's-in-it. "It just occurred to me... I could finally sample more foods than what my feline body could swallow!" Rune softly exclaimed. In case Tochi wasn't aware... she would be, now. It's apparent that despite Rune being a helpful guardian cat (debatable that adjective may seem), she wasn't given adequate nourishment at times. She wasn't one to gripe, as she has long convinced herself that it's a moment to steel herself for times harsher than this. Regardless, it's still.. probably a bit much, considering that Rune in her feline form is no more than a kitten.

"You're in luck, then!" Tochi exclaimed happily, "My big bro's a really good cook, so we always have plenty of food to eat." Kiro, admittedly, wasn't home at the moment, no doubt spending time over at his girlfriend's family's home, but seeing as he did a lot of the cooking around the house, there were plenty of leftovers she could feed Rune. Honestly, Tochi felt bad for her feline friend- surely, as her bonded senshi, Kalani should have provided Rune with more to eat? Well, that was one thing they'd have to rectify while Rune was staying with her. Opening the door to her room, Tochi showed Rune inside. As the sisters shared the room, there was a clear split between whose side belonged to who, with Tochi's having a loft bed with a mess of fairy lights and a canopy, with her desk and computer underneath. Star charts and maps covered the walls on both sides of the room, but Tochi's notably also had collectible posters and photo cards, as well as a board where she hung various keychains and charms. Morie's side... was more sensible looking, more tidy and looking more like it belonged to someone who spent a lot of time studying, with books neatly arranged on bookshelves. However, in the interest of making a space to set down a futon mattress for Rune to sleep, Tochi had shoved some of Morie's furniture to the side, and haphazardly stored some other things away in the closet and assorted other places other than their room. She would, as usual, receive an earful from Morie for doing all this without consulting her first, but that was the furthest thing from Tochi's mind at the moment. "Here's my room! You just wait here- I'll heat something up for you!" Tochi told Rune.

“Uh… was that okay to do that-” Before Rune could finish her preponderance, Tochi vacated the room like a whirlwind. She seemed clearly determined to make her guest feel at home. This warm sentiment floated and swirled in Rune’s chest. It felt nice and she couldn’t help but smile at the feeling. Rune’s well acquainted with the snarkiness of her charge Kalani, but sometimes, just sometimes… it could be nice to be treated with kindness. Putting that aside, Rune couldn’t help but marvel at the markedly different sides of the rooms each sister claimed as her own. The sudden haphazard shoving of objects of the absent sister’s room to make space for Rune the guest’s futon made her giggle. ‘ I sure hope Morie doesn’t mind my intrusion too much… and that Morie makes amends later…’ Rune thought. Regardless, her mild sense of regret left as soon as it came, because Rune agreeably deposited her duffel back next to the futon. Tempted by the soft layer of the mattress, she sat down and then laid then. Ahhh a bed to myself?! Even for a day… this feels so much more luxurious compared to Kalani’s single bed… I wonder if she’d consider procuring one for me down the line?

It didn't take long before Tochi returned, a plate full of food in hand, and humming a cheerful tune. "I brought... curry rice~♫" she announced, offering the plate to Rune, "It's really good- big bro's cooking is the best!" Gosh, what would she do without Kiro? He was probably going to pop the question to his girlfriend one of these days, and as much as Tochi loved the concept of a fairytale happy ending, everyone living happily ever after, the thought of him moving out wasn't a pleasant one! "After this, we can have dessert, and then... it's dressup time!"

"Thank you so much! It smells soo good!" Rune could almost imagine her now metaphorical cat tongue salivating, but since she is a human, she just barely contained her excitement. "Mmm...m! Not only it smells good, but it also tastes so good.. your brother's an amazing cook. And after that... I will get to try t-those.. dresses? Those... outfits?" Internally, Rune girlishly squealed at the thought of wearing not just cute and adorable clothing, but clothing that would befit a bubbly and vibrant idol. Rune proceeded to finish her plate with enough haste as she couldn't wait for the next part of Tochi's impromptu itinerary.
