Ziel had spent most of the 5 years completely ignoring well... Just about everything going on. She’d ignored the fight with the Dretched and pretty much ignored the new races as well. She had spent most of her time traveling and learning, soaking up the world and everything it had to offer her. She’d even visited Belrea, met some really nice folk and then returned to Tendaji to spend time with her family. Her parents had tried a few times to have children but had been unable to have another one after her. It was sad, but Ziel could only think of it as life’s way of saying that it was enough.
And now, well now she was having a nice walk through town, reflecting on the last five years and contemplating visiting and seeing the new races for herself. It would certainly be an adventure.

She turned away from yet another stall. Masika didn't seem to be much in the mood for buying things today. Not even the cloth caught her attention for long. Sure, she stopped and looked at it, but it wasn't enough to make her instantly come with with a design or a desire to have it. Lately there had just been so much on her mind she wasn't sure what to do. Or what to think. When she looked up and scanned the faces of the crowd again she just glanced over them. They were people and she didn't expect to see anyone she knew. But half way through she had to do a double take. Then a squint. "Is that..?" Her head titled to the side. "Ziel?" She only knew one shifer and water hybrid and that was a friend from when she was little. Her mother had been friends with Ziel's and the two had gotten along well enough to play often. Masika reached down and lifted up the skirts to her dress, making it so that she could walk better and faster. "Ziel!?" She called out to her childhood friend, hoping to be heard.

Upon hearing her name, Ziel twisted in the direction and spotted someone who could only be one of her childhood friend. “Masika!” She called back, meeting her halfway. Ziel grinned, taking her friend into her arms in a hug. “It has been a while!” Ziel held her at arm's length and soaked her up. That was a lot of clothing to be wearing!
“How are you? How have you been? How is your mother?” It had been a while but Ziel didn’t feel like it, granted she never did when she saw old friends. Masika hadn’t really changed, just a little bit as she was sure she had changed too, but it was nice. The world was already moving far too fast for her.

When she was embraced she let go of her skirts to return the hug in earnest. Wearing a large smile she couldn't help the small girlish squeal that escaped her with the excitement of finding someone she knew in Jauhar. Apart from her mother of course. When the hug ended and she was held at arms length she looked down at herself and then at her friend before grinning at the questions. "I'm good. Been in the jungle fora few years now, its starting to grow on me." Of course she was still partial to the desert sands and even the beaches. "I've been.. alive. My mother is well, I recently found her wandering these parts. She should be around here somewhere actually." To that the blue skinned girl looked around to see if her tall Alk mother could be seen from their position. When she failed to find her she brushed off the idea and brought her gaze back to Ziel. "And you? You look amazing. What have you been doing all this time? Where's your mom?" Her friend looked pretty fit and there was a bit of envy in her eyes over that. Masika had curves but no muscle. She was soft and squishy not lean and toned like others.

“The jungle? I would not have taken you for the jungle kind of person!” Warm beaches definitely but not the sticky heat of the jungle, they really had grown a lot since the last time they had parted ways. How interesting!
“Oh I will look out for her and say hello if I see her!” It was so odd, she hadn’t seen anyone outside of her mother and father in the last few years.
“Ah thank you,” Ziel looked down at her clothing slightly embarrassed. She wasn’t exactly an icon of fashion or anything, preferring as little clothing as possible and most of it was travel worn heavily by now. Alassiel always got her new clothing every time she visited, but she didn’t visit nearly enough for her clothing to at least seem passible.
“I’ve been travelling all over the world. Trying to see as much of the world as I can. It’s been amazing. I’ve been seeing my mother and father whenever I return to Tendaji but there aren’t many areas I have not been to. I am looking forward to discovering Kahikina actually. That is where I am headed. Any plans for you?” And the Ziel laughed a little bit. “What about men?” Surely as pretty as Masika was she had found a husband by now.

She colored a little in the cheeks at the mention of her not being a jungle person. "I'm really not. The heat is a bit different than what I'm used to and the bugs.." She gave a full body shudder at the thought of them. Still she lifted her shoulders up a bit. "It has some charm though. I love the trees, they are beautiful. There is more shade here." Which she'd grown fond of. Given there wasn't much in Oba it was a nice treat. "Oh? You've seen so much!" She had a bit of jealousy over that. Masika had stayed close to home until recently. And even then she'd only been to Jauhar. There were corners of the world she couldn't even dream of. As Ziel mentioned Kahikina she paused a moment before it clicked in her mind. "That new land? You're headed there? I heard they have the most beautiful shells." It would be nice to have one or two. Of course she supposed she'd have to wait until they came to the market and then pay the outrageous prices for them. "Are you not worried about the people there?" Was her friend worried about the people anywhere? She was a full adventurer! Being asked about men made the color in her cheeks spread farther as she looked down and shook her head. "Ah, no.. none. I'm afraid no one has even glanced in my direction." Masika had never had a boyfriend. The poor girl hadn't even been kissed. Clearing her throat she looked up at Ziel. "I was trying to figure out what my next step was actually. I wasn't sure if I should go back to Oba or stay here."

“There is definitely more shade,” Ziel laughed. “Should visit Zena, it’s so cold I thought I would die. It’s a world of a difference between there and Oba!” The cold had caught her by surprise, even if she had thought she would have been well prepared to venture there.
“To be honest not really, I’m just really excited, to be honest. I’ve heard a few stories about them and they sound nice.” And colorful! People always spoke about the beauty and the color of it all, Ziel was really intrigued by all of it and why she had decided to visit the place as soon as she could. “I’ll make sure to bring you back some shells.” She said happily, rolling on the balls of her feet excitedly.
“That’s because you’ve been hiding out in the jungle.” Ziel gave her a wink. “You don’t feel like travelling?” It was time to travel while they were so young still!

She gave a glance toward the north and thought about the cold. What would cold even feel like? She'd never had anything below a cool breeze. Masika shook her head. "You will have to write to me or something. I would love to hear more about their homeland. And the people. I confess I haven't heard much." At most she'd heard about the shells, because they could be sold on the market, and the fact that the people lived in the water. Anything different was always a selling point. When it was mentioned that she'd been hiding out in the jungle she shook her head and giggled a little. "I have not. I don't think I can hide to save my life." Considering her blue color stood out in the jungle and wasn't common for the Jauhar area, hiding would be hard. People had just not taken a liking to her was all. And it seemed she would need to be okay with that. "I'm not really cut out for travel. It terrifies me when a dangerous beast appears. I tend to freeze up or run screaming." Neither were very adventurer like reactions.

“I will write to you! I don’t plan on returning for a little while, so I also have to write to my mother as well.” Least Alassiel started worrying about her and hunted her down across the world. That would be very awkward. “I don’t think people know much, so it’ll be exciting to travel around their world and learn. It’ll be nice and refreshing.” Ziel chuckled. “I did meet one not too long ago, it was nice to talk for a bit. They all seem very kind.” At least that seemed to be what stood out among everything people were saying about them. Ziel chuckled. “All you need is a travel companion, if you ever want you can join me in Kahikina and we can travel for a bit.” After traveling for so long as Ziel had, she was used to the world and all it had to offer, dangers included. It certainly wasn’t for everyone.

Hearing that her friend would write to her she smiled widely. It would be something to look forward to. Notes from around the world detailing what was out there. With the mention of a travel companion she giggled. "I think everyone would get tired of me quickly." Though she could always travel with her mother. Dem would certainly stay with her and make sure nothing happened. "I'll keep that in mind if I even decide to head that way." While she didn't see herself going quite that far it was still an idea. "If you see any exotic flowers you'll have to press one and send it to me." A good flower would give her ideas for dress making surely. If nothing else it would give her color ideas.
