He needed more practice, legitimately while it was all well and good for him to be using his abilities against the enemy, their lack of reliability meant that he wasn't necessarily able to hone and strengthen them. He knew there were limits of course, eventually he would reach the limit of what his magic 'should' be able to do, but based on its current behaviour it seemed that it was a flicker at best. In the grand scheme of things instinct told him it wasn't supposed to last a mere second, if anything, it was supposed to last for a considerable amount longer.

His solution?

Well, he'd sent out another obscure message on his phone requesting a duel. A sparring match as it were, preferably with someone wouldn't be afraid to hit him, but at this point in time anyone would do. His main aim this evening was to be a combat dummy, he needed to be hit for him to figure this out, and he needed someone to not be shy about it either. To be entirely honest the 'shy' part was probably the bit he was fixating on the most considering that a part of him suspected he wasn't taking the battle seriously because his opponent wasn't either.

He was in a parking lot of an old factory at this point, eyes trained upwards towards the sky as he rested against one of the dimly lit lamps. The factory was far from derelict, simply out of service, but it was enough out of the way not to attract attention if magic was being fired off here and there.

Hopefully someone would answer his call, if not, then he supposed he'd best find something more constructive to do for the evening!
