Teigue's life was a rather simple one. He was born in the settlement of Talrise to two happy new parents, Lian and Masu. Both of his parents came from the sector of agriculture, though at the time of their meeting hadn't taken part in the same portion of the sector. Lian, Teigue's father worked in the farming field as his family had done for many many years. He was established and his family had accrued a nice plot of land on which to work and make a living from. Masu, Teigue's mother, however came from the water sector and upon marriage to Lian and birth of their son moved from Talrise to Thelle where Lian's homestead was located. They waited, of course, until it would be safe for mother and child to travel, even though the distance between the settlements wasn't as vast as say, going all the way to Valmon.
The change for Masu was quite a large one whose life had revolved around water and her family's help in manufacturing water vessels. There was a small bit of solace, however, as some of the land Lian's family had acquired over the years had a rather large pond towards the rear of the property. Masu could go there and feel almost like she was comfortable at home by the water. It was a place that would become loved by her son just as much, if not more than she did. When Teigue's two younger siblings were born, twins, this pond seemed to be where they'd go to play instead of their usual fighting they did. Because of this, most of their family get togethers were outside by the pond.
Teigue's childhood was a normal one he would say. Both of his parents believed in hard work and doing one's best. They wanted to make sure he got an education about as much as they could teach him which was a decent amount as both of his parents had grown up in different portions of the sector. On occasion, a traveling teacher would venture through town and Tei would learn whatever he could from them. Knowledge was a constant source of excitement for him and he always yearned to learn more.
He remembered one occasion that he traveled with his father to Valmon for a special delivery and he stood outside the academy while his father took care of business. All the academy members in their fancy jackets became idols to him and he stared in awe as he watched them that afternoon come and go from the Academy. It became his wildest dream to be able to someday set foot in the academy. That's all it was though, a wild unattainable dream. Even he knew that most of the members were lightning for their engineering feats with technology, what would a farm boy be able to offer. Sure he hungered for knowledge but he wasn't the smartest or even the cleverest, he was simply average. But it was his passion for knowledge that would drive him forward the most along with his parents loving encouragement to do anything he set his heart to.
In the recent past, he's taken his passion to the next level. Along with learning some magic to help him, he's been working on a project of being able to grow plants in just water, without having to be planted in soil! His two younger siblings have grown out of some of their twinly fighting and the house seems much quieter.
