Everything in Myanha's life had been leading towards this day. Her vision quest. Her parents had put their best efforts into educating her, introducing her to the right circles, sharpening her wit and her mind, but this was the part they had no control over. While they were quick to tell her it didn't matter what gift she ended up with, Myanha had a few reservations on that topic. Some gifts would certainly be easier to make use of in the context her family imaged her filling. But regardless, it did seem like all gifts were needed by the council ...

The lithe Noulicorn was taking the trek to Grandfather Tree at a stately pace. Just like her parents had told her to do. You don't rush head long into destiny - you can prepared. They'd told her that this part of her quest was just an important, how she first presented herself to Grandfather Tree. Be demure, be ladylike, but make sure you are sharp of wit and have a head full of ideas on how to better Homewood and Vykeli. Set your sights high. And so Myanha had. She wanted to move among the most important Ascendeds in Homewood, to influence what they thought and did. And this was the most important step of her journey so far. Each step took her closer, and she felt her confidence growing. She came to this quest prepared, and ready, to seize control of her fate. Looking up, she smiled. Grandfather Tree spread above her. "I am ready."

A still quiet passes over the plateau. Hushed silence that is almost deafening. Grandfather tree's roots seem to shift and reach out as Myanha approaches.

Choose one of the following prompts for Myanha's dream vision.

Quote:
Newly revived seeds have been planted in Homewood and started to sprout. A powerful Vivify noul has resurrected a new species that eats the new plants almost exclusively. How do you deal with this conundrum?

Quote:
You find yourself in the ruins, deep inside a unit built by the Others. The musty smell of old paper fills your nose as you realize you're surrounded by books. None of them are written in a language you understand.
What do you do?

Quote:
You find yourself trapped in a maze of metal walls, disoriented and unsure of your surroundings.
What do you do?

Myanha's eyes opened. Light filtered in, bathing her in soft warmth. Another morning in Homewood. She stretched, getting ready to prepare herself for another day. She stood, and stretched out. Her joints felt stiffer that usual. As she walked over to the small reflecting pool, her thought she looked ... older than she remembered. And her home seemed to be filled with many trinkets she didn't recall acquiring. In the back of her mind, she wondered what this was all about. But the day pull her forward. She was important. She had things to do, and Noulicorns to see. Homewood didn't run itself, and the Council couldn't come up with ideas all on their own.

Descending from her room, she entered her salon below. Already patrons were chatting with each other, over various tisanes and lightly fermented fruit drinks. Many greeted her enthusiastically as she passed. Myanha made sure to spend at least a moment greeting each of them. Her life's work was cultivating connections. She wasn't about to start squandering it. In the midst of a quiet word with a long time supporter, a young Noul burst through the door of her establishment, breathing hard. Myanha said a polite goodbye, and slipped from the easy conversation.

She ushered the young Noul outside, careful to not disturb her regulars inside. "I-I think a mistake has been made. You'd best come quickly." Myanha furrowed her brow, but asked no other questions. She followed the youth at a stately pace. If it was a real emergency he would have come out and said it, she was sure.

It didn't take long for the pair to arrive at a clearing in Homewood. New shoots were just pushing up from the ground. Myanha recognized the place. She'd been here just a few days before. These seeds had been recovered from the Barrens, and carefully nurtured back to life. They seemed hardy, and showed much promise. A great victory all around for the gardeners responsible. She glanced around, spotting a small group of Nouls locked in quiet conversation. They appeared to be the very gardeners responsible for nurturing these seeds to life in the first place. She glided forward, drawing attention nearly immediately.

"Good noulja, is something amiss?" Her voice was sweet and light. She made sure to keep any hint of worry out of it. It was never of use to make others think you weren't the most capable being present to handle the situation.

One of the gardeners seemed to be near tears. "Th-they resurrected some new creature, and all it will eat are our shoot! Nothing else! They're going to go extinct, again!" The other gardeners nodded, and seemed to be looking to each other for comfort.

"Ah, well, that does sound like a problem, doesn't it." Myanha's eye drifted back to the shoot. It wouldn't do to loose an entirely newly restored species. But the same could be said of whatever had been resurrected by the vivify user as well. "Fear not, I'll get to the bottom of us. Your hard work for Homewood won't go to waste." This immediately seemed to soothe the small group.

She noted that her companion was gone. Odd. She couldn't even remember his name. Regardless, she made her own way back to her salon. A few more patrons had filtered in while she was gone. She made her way between lounging Nouls, seeking out a few special regulars. First she found a botanic adept, known for their ability to quickly bring seeds to sprout. Next she found a solar, who was conveniently with an aqua adept was well known for their irrigation genius. She explained the situation to them in hushed tones. They quietly filtered out of the salon together.

Not long later, back at the clearing, she introduced her friends to the intrepid gardeners. "They are here to help with your new sprouts. Together, we can nurture them and help them to grow a little faster, a little stronger. And I'll make sure we portion some off not to be touched at all by the newly revived creatures. Together, everything can grow and thrive."
