CHILDHOOD Evangeline is the oldest and only daughter of Sera Avery and Hamilton Strudwick. Her birth was the impetus behind her father finally resolving family issues, and as a result, she has no idea that there was a time that her dad might not have been able to be in her life. Nevertheless, she found herself in a rather interesting position as both sides of her family were in varying levels of disgrace.
Nevertheless, her childhood hasn't been a bad one. Brought up with a proper young lady's upbringing, she nevertheless was taught that she should decide her life, not anyone else, and the idea has caused Eva to have an independent streak. Her father's lycanthropy, while it was hidden from her when she was younger, was also something that she learned about, albeit when her younger brother Cavan was born. When her letter finally came for Hogwarts, she was pleased and excited, though she worked hard to contain it. After all, she knew that her parents could always tell her no.
