Hypatia had, for a while now, been trying to find her missing brother. The police had no idea what happened to him. She, unfortunately, knew exactly what happened to him. But that wasn't terribly helpful, as what happened was that he had been transformed into a Youma, for having the unfortunate circumstance of being near her. She'd been in the process of telling him about all the magic craziness of the world, mostly because she wanted his help in exploring her world. Milo was generally more adept at and interested in spending time in and under the water, after all. A monstrous captain had interrupted them, though, and possibly just to ******** with her, turned him into a monster. Hypatia knew what he looked like now. She knew, generally, that it was possible to save him. But the first step was to find him. Finally, she'd heard rumors that an animal of some kind, that sort of matched what she'd seen Milo get turned into, was occasionally seen in a particular park...one that Milo used to like to go to. Now that was a solid lead. Unfortunately, though, as she stood on exactly the hill that he liked to go to (based on the non-fantasy paintings he'd made), there was nothing. Just dark, trees, and grass. Just like every time she'd gone there. Tonight, though, she felt something...chaos nearby. Possibly a good sign? She waited, to see what would happen.

A long time ago, Fettelite had a friend. A kind friend. One who didn't seem to mind his chatty nature, and one who was really nice enough to help him out and feed him on occasion. He had been really cool too, painting in the park, finding inspiration wherever he could. ... That friend had disappeared. Months had passed, and even though Fettelite returned to their not-so-arranged meeting spot time and time again, there was no one there. Some nights, he would wait for hours, hoping to spot his friend once again maybe even in passing. He wasn't so foolish to think that he could have done something wrong to keep his friend away. If he remembered correctly, Milo was in school, and maybe school was getting too busy these days... Still, he waited tonight, just like so many other nights, right on that bench where he first lost his burger. And most nights passed in peace. Not so much this night, since a sudden Aura seemed to pop up nearby. A senshi, from what he could tell, and he turned his head, trying to see where they were coming from. It seemed like no one else was around at the park at this hour. "... Hello? Are you there? I'm not going to attack or anything, if that's what you're looking for. I don't want to fight. I just wanna wait here fro my friend."

"Your...friend?" she responded, eyebrows raising. Interesting coincidence. "I won't attack you without good reason." She waved him closer and took a step toward the sound of the voice. "Who's this friend you're waiting for?" It was a pretty unusual thing to hear someone say, and she really wanted to know more. Maybe it'd help her search, though she didn't have especially high hopes.

"Good, thank you." While he was stronger now, and would most certainly atleast survive long enough in a fight to escape, it didn't mean that Fettelite enjoyed fighting. Especially not when he had plans already. But when the Senshi waved at him, he didn't move from his spot on the bench. What if he wandered too far away and his friend missed him? "He's a painter. He came here sometimes, and when I was in a bad place, he bought me some cheeseburgers. But why do you ask? Are you waiting for someone too?"

With a slight shrug, Hypatia approached this captain as he spoke. And his words made her stop in her tracks and gawk at him for a moment. "A...painter? And he bought you a cheeseburger." She coughed once. "That had to be Milo," she concluded. She had started to doubt she'd find him again, but this...this felt like it was getting closer. "Oh god."

“Hehe, why do you sound so surprised? Should I have gotten chicken nuggets instead?” Fettelite only tilted his head, then laughed at himself at the thought. Nah, it was a cheeseburger for a cheeseburger. It didn’t make sense to get anything else. “Milo... Hey, you know him? I always thought he’d be the kinda person who was really good at making friends! Did he buy you something too... Wait.. Wait, what’s wrong? You don’t look too good...” Fettelite stood up, not daring to come closer, but still a little concerned by the sudden change in attitude of the Senshi before him. “Do you need to sit down too?”

Hypatia nodded. "Yeah, yeah, I think I do," she agreed, and sat down next to the captain. "Milo is my..." she very nearly said brother, but realized at the last moment that was far too much personal information to share. "...friend. And I saw another negaverse officer--a monstrous looking one--turn him into a Youma." She shook her head. "I know from talking to some people that it's possible to turn him back, but...I need to reliably find him first."

“... Oh.” Milo... They got him. They didn’t just add him to their ranks, they got him. Turned him into a youma. It never really crossed his mind that Youma were often once people. He met some half-youma before but that wasn’t the same. If he was a whole youma then... Then there would be times where he’d have to be poofed. Or he’d get hurt and sent into the Rift. “.... You can change him back?” That was something he didn’t actually know, Purification was possible for people but for Youma? It seemed like a lot to think about, but he wasn’t really ready to think too much on it. Only that Milo cold be saved, and... and He could help. “I... I think I can try to find him! Do you know what he looks like? I know we have thing thing that bonds up to Youma, so maybe I can find him and try to keep him safe!”

"Yeah. I'm a little fuzzy on the details, and somehow he'd have to choose, but...that can't happen if he's just out there somewhere chomping on things or whatever it is youma do when they're not...out here." She gestured vaguely. "He's blue, and kind of small, as these things go. Long tail, lots of, er, spiky things." The prospect of bonding sounded...worrisome, but it also sounded like her best bet. "That might be good...if you were friends with him before, maybe he'll like you now...erm, oh." She held out a hand. "I'm Hypatia," she offered. "I was hoping I'd find him here."

"Well... I can say I do remember thinking Milo was super smart and cool when I met him. I think then there's a good chance he's not as mindless and spooky as some of the other youma are. Someone that smart has to somehow still connected to people you know? I was told before that the Youma are just kinda driven by their need to get energy, but depending on things that I don't really know, there's alot more to it then that. ... Yeah... Yeah! I bet he's out there right now sniffin' things along and still okay!" There was no choice but to be optimistic about those sorts of things. Otherwise, it was too sad to think about how one day a person could just be human, painting like it was the most natural thing in the world, and then the next.... Gone. Eatin' people and drainin' them dry. He shuddered at the thought and then pushed it far back out of mind, out of sight. "Ah, right, I'm Fettelite." he took her hand, giving it a little squeeze and shake, before returning it to his lap. "I try to be likable, so... yeah, I hope so too! Maybe I should get a Cheeseburger and toss it at him when I find him. When we met, he knocked it right out of my hand! Maybe it'll trigger a memory or something."

"Maybe it would," she agreed. "Certainly easier than trying to get him onto a boat, or into a dive suit." She was silent for a moment, looking out over the park. "I think coming here's a good idea, though. Pretty sure he came here often...and I heard a rumor about some kind of big blue lizard being spotted nearby. And that is too strong a coincidence to ignore. How often are you here?"

"Why would you do that?" The idea of what seemed to be a giant lizard in a wet suit seemed a little redundant to him... But what did he know? He followed her gaze, looking out towards the hill that he remembered Seeing Milo come over every now and then, and perhaps, he grew a little more sad. "I didn't really have much of a chance to come by up until recently. I thought maybe he just got done with painting here, and went somewhere else... I couldn't blame him, though. It's not like there's a lot to paint around here."

"Because other than apparently giving negaversers cheeseburgers, those were some of his favorite things to do, you know," Hypatia replied with a rueful smile. "That, and being seen. I swear, that boy loved getting praised by anyone and everyone." "I don't think he usually painted what he was looking at," she told him thoughtfully. "I mean, sometimes he did, but he was definitely picking places like this so that you'd see him painting."

“Hehe, yeah, he very much liked getting praised.... But it was cute, you know? He seemed so happy to be out here, and painting and talking. I... I miss him... I hope we can find him soon then.” The information Fettelite had on youma was slim, at best, but it didn’t change the fact that it was still pretty well known that the Rift was a strange and lonely place. Youma did seem to like it, but it must really suck being that bound to a single place. “Do you think I should still call him Milo if we find him?”

"I don't see why not," Hypatia replied with a shrug. "Maybe it'll mean something to him, maybe not. Easier to not think up new names, I think." She sighed and rocked her head back. "I'm...not really sure what I'll do if I do find him...He's a Youma. He'll try to eat me. I'm sure he can't, but...you know. Now that I know you know him, I'm kind of hoping it's you who finds him instead of me."
