Ananke looked out over the park. How many times has she come here she wondered? The park had been one of her go-to patrolling areas since she started out. Ananke had been feeling nostalgic lately... it strange to be able to feel nostalgia she once didn't have any memories to be able to look back on anything.
As she sat down on the edge of the fountain it wasn't long until she was joined by her usual crowd of stray cats. Looking up at the stars she was amazed there were other places out there among the cosmos and she even got to see one with her own eyes. Blinking she noticed the cats seemed to have their attention on something.
"Hmm... is there a newcomer tonight?" She asked scratching the nearby cat.

Etoile was out on her own again tonight, as Lepus had declined to join her, being in a Mood again; for what reason, Etoile didn't know, but figured it probably had something to do with school again... because that always seemed to put the teenage chibi senshi in a bad mood. It wasn't really that bad of a thing, though, to be out by herself, so as long as there were treats to be found- plenty of people liked small and cute things, and Etoile was both, which put her at an advantage. Also, small children were easy to convince to give up their candy to her. By pure accident, or mostly out of curiosity, the little Mauvian had gotten mixed up in a group of stray cats tonight, for what reason, she wasn't sure. Was it the prospect of (hopefully) another talking cat like her? Or was it the possibility of being able to mooch food off of someone? Or, perhaps, was it the senshi, that she ultimately found sitting on a fountain in the park? They didn't look like anyone she knew- most certainly it wasn't someone from Lepus' social circle, which mostly tended to consist of chibis and former chibis- but there was something about the senshi that made her curious, and Etoile decided to make herself known... or, rather, maybe it was the strays that made her known first? "Hello!" tefla since u wanted to toss your kitty in here too

The feeling had returned. Illyria's ears twitched in mild annoyance as she was forced to abandon her current mission of hunting down a supposed geocache location hidden away from prying eyes. It was merely feigned annoyance though as the young Mauvian recognised almost immediately what it was she was sensing. It seemed though, somewhere nearby, was another senshi that seemed full to capacity with power and was just getting ready to figuratively burst at the seams. Twitching her tail the feline decided that it was best to make sure that she recon the area first before making a move to announce herself.
Giving a perfunctory lick to her paws Illyria kept to the shadows in an effort to stay undetected for as long as it would be feasible. Already she had pinpointed the location that was her newest destination and had begun moving in the direction that she was sensing the abnormal fluctuations. But as she neared it seemed as if she were not the only one of her kind around. Illyria's puffed up a little in agitation before letting herself settle into a crouch under a nearby bush. Stray cats were not really her scene even if she were seemingly one herself. The lingering thought in her mind was that the young woman sitting on the fountain ledge certainly wasn't holding back a generous supply of affection for the strays. Would one more amongst the throng be welcomed?
Illyria almost darted out for the pure need for attention before catching sight of a cat that had spoken. Well ... maybe she could stay hidden just a little longer.

Ananke smiled gently at the mauvian that approached her. "Why hello there. My name is Sailor Ananke. How can I assist a cute kitty such as yourself?" Ananke said leaning down and the cat on her lap moved onto her shoulders. As she bent down she glanced to the side a bit... strange it seems like there were even more cats than before. "Though some of you insist you are not kitties... but I can help you with anything you need regardless! Hmm, there doesn't seem to be any youma nearby so it can't be that... Oh, do you need to be brushed?"

"It is very nice to meet you, Ananke! My name is Etoile- like the stars," the little cat greeted, always happy to recite the one piece of useless trivia she knew about her name. Watching Ananke interact with the strays, there was a nagging feeling of familiarity in the back of the small Mauvian's mind, of another time she had met a senshi on a night like this, but she couldn't quite remember how it went. At the question of how she could assist, though, Etoile pondered that for a second. Well, she had been following the strays for a certain few reasons, hadn't she? "Oh, hmm, well, certainly, if you have any treats, I'd love some- especially candy!" she said, "But If you have no treats, that is fine as well." Perhaps they could sit and talk, instead. Get to know each other, maybe? They could even discuss their favorite tv shows, or favorite foods!

Ananke chuckled softly. "Pleased to meet you Etoile like the stars. I must say you certainly do sparkle like them." Ananke treated the guardian cat like she did her youngest sister. She then put a finger to her cheek in thought. "Snacks huh... hmm candies are out of my ability but..." Oh shoot... she glanced over down the fountain she left her purse a little bit out of arms reach... hmm... it should be fine to use a little bit of energy right. "Ananke portal." and with a flick of her wrists, the purse traversed downwards through a portal that opened below it. With one more flick, a portal reopened above Ananke's lap and her purse fell right into it. Quickly reaching in she pulled out a baggy. "While I don't have sweets I do have something sweet. Some apple slices they're delicious and they're good for you."

There was just no use in holding back the desire to be a part of something any longer. The fact that she was missing out on the potential for petting and ear scritches was what finally drew Illyria out from the bush cover that had concealed her form. Padding softly to linger at the edge of the group of strays Illyria primly sat down amongst the crowd and merely flicked an ear to catch the conversation. Violet orbs took in the other feline like herself before she turned to stare at the young woman that was doling out affection and it seemed food as well.
Arcing her back Illyria padded forward to place herself near the cement ledge of the fountain before turning her violet gaze to the young woman. The same feeling she had experienced with Takamizawa was emanating from this senshi as well. There was no doubt about it. Introductions would have to be made and with a soft sound of contention did Illyria arch against Ananke's legs. Affection came easily to the young Mauvian and she blinked towards her comrade-in-arms before releasing a relaxing purr.

Etoile watched eagerly as Ananke used her magic to grab her purse, having never seen senshi magic like that before. So, Ananke was a senshi of something to do with portals, then? She was a little disappointed that there were no candies to be found tonight, but she'd accept almost any food, really. ... Well, at the mention of something being 'good for her', the little cat paused; years of living with a senshi who made a habit of shunning anything 'healthy' had caused some of her charge's personality traits to rub off on her. Still, apples weren't that bad, and she was going to get rather hungry as the night wore on... And then another Mauvian showed up. Delighted at the prospect of making a new friend, Etoile raised a paw in greeting. "Hello!" she greeted the other cat, "Did you come for sweets, too?"

Ananke slightly leaned over to pet the new cat between the ears. "My it seems I'm more popular than I thought tonight." She then opened the baggy and held out two bunny cut apple pieces to the guardian cats. "Sharing food is a great way to make friends." She smiled at them but then stuck her tongue out slightly. "Though, I think that's the only reason most of these guys show up around me." With a quick laugh she seemed to have a faraway look on her face for a few seconds.

Did she come for sweets? Illyria arched into the hand that was hitting all the right spots between her ears before she deigned to flick her gaze to the other Mauvian. She had come for other reasons but if sweets were offered to her then who was she to turn them down? Her rumbling purrs ceased momentarily before she turned to face Etoile. "I didn't really come for sweets but for another reason that I'm pretty sure you've picked up on - or am I incorrect in that assumption?"
Her young voice was cautious as she sniffed at the apple slice that was offered to her before taking it gently from the senshi's hand. The feline made quick work of the apple slice and licked her lips. It would have been amiss to reject food offered in friendship. At least that was Illyria's opinion. And the senshi was correct - sharing food was a great way to make friends. Illyria's pale fur glistened as she moved to jump to the top of the fountain's ledge before curling up and glancing down at Etoile.
"Many thanks for the treat. It hits the spot," and here Illyria realized the one social faux pas she'd made - she had yet to introduce herself. "Apologies to both of you ... I'm Illyria."

Etoile was briefly stumped for a moment at Illyria's question, before getting what she meant. So she felt it, too? Etoile had thought something felt familiar, but couldn't quite place a paw on it... and had been distracted by food. "Hmmm, I think so~!" the little cat nodded, after some more thinking, "I didn't think about it at first, but you came here for that, too? Food was always Etoile's first priority when meeting new people, but if she was picking up on what Illyria was saying correctly, then it seemed there would be more she would be getting out of this than just treats. tefla np i keep underestimating how dead i'll be after work

Ananke just blinked and tilted her head. "Hmm?" She just stared blankly at the two cats. "It's nice to meet you Illyria... but I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about." She didn't sense anything odd herself. Chuckling slightly she rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry... I'm not the most in the know senshi..." Blushing she put her hands back in her lap. "What I mean is... it's not that I'm not in the know. There are just better senshi than me. So if there is trouble somewhere you might need someone else.. not that I wouldn't help..." Ananke sighed as she could feel like she was making herself worse and worse as she kept talking.

"Non non, there's no trouble at all!" Etoile insisted, in an attempt to reassure Ananke. "What we mean is..." What they meant was... hm, how did she word it? Maybe she should have let Illyria explain first. Big words weren't Etoile's specialty- she just preferred to offer her help, maybe ask for sweets as a reward after. "Ananke, would you like to become stronger?"

Illyria had been sitting rather quietly and allowing Etoile to carry the conversation. Her gaze settled on the other cats around before she arched her back in a rather spectacular stretch before lowering into a crouch. Her gaze locked onto the senshi before nodding in response to Etoile's question. Her voice was soft as she gave a small purr. "I am of the same assumptions. You feel like you are about to burst at the seams. If you agreed to it we could take care of the issue for you. You would become stronger. More powerful, more, more..." and Illyria paused here as if she was searching for just the right word to use. She gave a mrrrwt sound of amusement before she continued, "more Eternal!"
It would only be the second time that she had been present for an upgrade but Illyria whiskers quivered with anticipation. Even if Etoile did the honors, she was still present in a way that marked a new future for Ananke.
A feeling associated with pride swelled deep inside Illyria as she watched with wide eyes as the upgrade took place. She had been witness to another senshi gaining more power and for that she felt honored. Her tail whipped back and forth in pleasure before she took her leave of the duo. She had been able to watch another Mauvian at work and that was information that she would hold onto for when she was able to bestow more power on senshi that wound up in her orbit that needed her help to bring them into their full potential.
Stilling her paws for a moment Illyria brought out her GPS locator and marked a new set of coordinates and made a notation about where this Ananke liked to visit. Maybe in the future she'd check in and see how things were going, but for now ... another potential geocache was calling to the tiny Mauvian.
