Dinara didn’t particularly enjoy patrolling anymore. She hadn’t seen Kanan in so long…and she missed her Jedi friend. Though…perhaps the reason that they hadn’t seen each other was…that he was no longer a padawan. Perhaps he had graduated and now was doing great things in the world. That was a much nicer thing to think about than…him being attacked by a deer or something.
The page sighed and kicked a small rock into the pond that she was walking beside.
With a huff, the girl sat down beside the water, flipping her hair out from under her and drawing her knees to her chest, looking out over the small body of water. Was this supposed to be so…lonely? Dinara missed her siblings horribly, and she just…missed a lot of things. It was so hard to not have Kelly in her life…or, in her life to the extent she had been.
And the fact that her mom and dad didn’t seem to want her to even talk about or two either Kelly or Leander…it was sad.
There was a strange feeling and the page looked around, tilting her head to the side as she saw a dark clad figure who was…glowing faintly.
She blinked and stared, wondering if her glasses were messing with her vision. “…Hello?”

The quiet of a long walk in the late evening was something unique. As a civilian, Lilith never would have dared wander the park late at night; there were too many dangers, mundane or no. But as a Corrupt Senshi...well.
She was one of the dangers, wasn't she.
She paused by the edge of a decorative pond, briefly taking in her reflection. It was eerie, in the water, lit by the magical glow of her uniform, and she couldn't help but feel a little smug. Sure, she liked her life as Hinata, but there was something special about getting to power up and be Lilith. Getting to be strong, and gorgeous, and, she suspected, a little frightening.
She heard a voice, and she turned, and a smile crossed her face. Another girl. This one felt Order, and looked it too, all decked out in white.
"Hello," she waved.

Dinara stared at the woman in black for a long moment, brows furrowing. Finally, the page moved to stand up, the smallest of frowns on her face as her mind tried to come to terms with just what was in front of her. “…Are you a Sith?” The woman kind of felt like Kanan, but she looked so different. And the dark clothing and the dark hood…it was easy to jump to that conclusion.
Though, maybe it just sounded silly…maybe that wasn’t the case at all and she was just being stupid.
“…Um. I’m Dinara, Page of Cosmos…you um.” The girl forced a small smile. “…You’re very pretty, even if you are a Sith. I have a friend, you kind of…fee the way he does…he says he’s training to be a Jedi so I just…Just assumed…”
She had to stop talking. She sounded like a crazy person and she had to stop that. She was eighteen now for goodness sakes. She had to act like she had a little sense.

Lilith blinked, and then glanced down at her outfit and couldn't help but laugh. She moved a little closer to the Page, a playful smile on her lips.
"Well, what Jedi ever looked this good?" She gestured to her outfit, and then put her hands on her hips. "I don't know that I'd call myself a Sith, properly, maybe a Sith apprentice? But either way..." She extended her hand, and gave a rather gewnuine smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Dinara. Call me Lilith."
This girl seemed...cute. Easily charmed. Easily won. Lilith liked people like that.

A Sith apprentice…how strange. But how exciting too! “Lilith? That…that’s a pretty name. And you…you have lovely hair!” Dinara pushed her glasses back up her nose and laughed, a little nervously. Sith were the bad guys after all but…Lilith seemed so very friendly! “What are you doing out here tonight? Did you have a lot on your mind too?”
The page gave a small smile, one that was a lot less forced than before. “You’re not up to no good, right? You’re being good? If you’re a Sith apprentice, you must know that the Sith are the bad guys, right? Are you a bad guy, Lilith?”
Her expression was utterly curious, and utterly innocent. “You don’t…seem like a bad guy to me. No one evil could be so friendly.”

Lilith's smile became indulgent, and she patted her braid, nodding. "It is nice, isn't it? Yours is so pretty too! So long, and what a pretty wave? Mine is so boring, just stick-straight." She flipped it back over her shoulder with a small flourish. "And, I mean...really, I just wanted to take a walk. It's so nice out, and I could never just walk as a civilian." She winked, playfully. "Too many things that go bump in the night. But I solemnly swear I am not currently up to no good."
She made a soft, thoughtful 'hmm' noise, considering Dinara's most important question. "Sure, the Sith are the bad guys in Star Wars. But, I mean...is the Sith philosophy really that bad? It's all about passion and emotion and freedom, about not letting yourself be chained down and about being strong enough to enforce that. Like...nobody can stop you if you can just...Pow." She held out her hands, like she was calling on Force Lightning.
"Nothing in the Sith code says the Force shall make me be a giant selfish jackass, right? You can be powerful and passionate and free and not be a jerk about it."Orangeish Sherbert star wars philosophy debates, i love this.

“But straight hair is pretty, I think that when your hair is straight and sleek and not frizzy…I’m jealous. Mine gets so poofy when it’s humid…summer is kind of awful. I know that hardly a day goes by that I don’t just want to sheer it off and go around with a buzz cut…”
The page grinned in a rather embarrassed, but pleased way. “Well, so long as you’re not up to no good! And, I feel the same…it feels safer to walk around all dressed up in magic like this…even though you know, there’s not much that’s even different, except the fact I have a small bottle of glitter!”
Dinara laughed, her cheeks going pink. “…I didn’t know that. About the Sith. Honestly, I don’t know much about Star Wars. I know the basics, I think. Jedi and Sith and robots and stuff. I bet I could rock those buns like…what was her name? Princess Leia, right? I could totally rock those buns. I bet you could too, you know, Lilith!”

Lilith winced, sympathetically. "That does sound like a nightmare. At least I don't have to worry about frizzing or anything. But making my hair look fancy at all takes so much work, and yours..." She moved into Dinara's space, idly reaching out. "Do you mind if I touch? It just looks so soft." She put a little pleading into her face. "You're right, though, it would look so cute in Princess Leia buns. Of course, I think most anything would look cute on you."
Still, a smile teased its way across her face. "But hmm, it's not just a bottle of glitter, is it? Like this, we get a whole new wardrobe, and even not accounting for magic...we're so much stronger and faster. I can do things in this form that I never could have as my normal self. Which I think is fantastic."

Dinara nodded, looking just a little flustered. “Y-yeah, you can touch my hair if you want. I don’t ever really mind when someone does. Honestly it feels nice!” Leaning closer, the page shifted so that the other girl had better access to her hair, and seemed utterly pleased. “Well, I’m not sure about it being anything but a bottle of glitter. So far I haven’t seen that I have anything more than a new fancy outfit to show for all of this. It’s kind of lame and…I don’t know. I doubt that…I have any sort of purpose in anything.”
It sounded…so stupid to say it out loud, but really, she didn’t know what else to say, not to mention her cheeks were now warm and pink from the compliment that the green haired woman had given, and she wasn’t quite sure how to reply.
“What can you do? Do you…do you have magic? That’s so cool…”

Lilith moved in closer, and reached out, wrunning a hand through Dinara's hair. It was soft and lovely, and she smiled fondly. "Thank you. It really is nice, and I appreciate you letting me touch it."
She made a sympathetic noise as Dinara described her weakness, and her lack of purpose, eyes going a little soft. That didn't seem fair to her, at all.
"I'm sorry. I have to say, one nice thing about the Negaverse is that they give us a purpose. Something to work for. You gather energy, you bring it to your superiors, you work your way up...it's all very easy and direct."
Then, she smiled a little. "I do have magic, but I don't want to show you, if that's okay?" She sighed. "I'm the Senshi of Kelpies, you see, and they....drown people. So my magic makes people feel like they're drowning, and I don't want to hurt or scare you."

“Oh! Drowning? Yeah…um!” Dinara shook her head, though moved a little closer to the hand in her hair. “…I don’t really fancy feeling like I’m drowning, but that’s super cool, you know! You can really protect yourself if you need to, and I’m glad!”
She listened to her talk about purpose, something to work for and the page nodded slowly. “It does seem like…there…is something good about what you’re talking about. But…I don’t know if I’d be any good. I’m kind of useless in most things so…having to report to someone just seems like I’d be getting into trouble a lot for being a failure…you know?”
She gave a little smile. “…I’m good at some things I guess but…” With a vague gesture at herself, Dinara sighed. “…I’m still not sure why this happened…and if…if I hadn’t have been with that other girl, honestly I would have been so completely lost! I miss her. I hope she’s doing okay…”

With Dinara leaning into it, Lilith was inclined to keep her hand in the girls' hair. It was soft and pretty, anyway, so everyone was winning, really.
She made a thoughtful little humming noise, considering what Dinara was saying, and then cracked a smile. "Well, it depends on who you report to, doesn't it? If you get the right Captain or General, they can be pretty hands-off. There have been plenty of times I haven't really kept up with what I was supposed to do, and I never got in trouble. You just get promoted a little slower." She shrugged her shoulders. "It's a pretty sweet deal, all in all. Especially since there's always someone to ask for help. I mean, if you were with us, I'd be happy to have your back." She sighed, faintly. "I hope your friend is alright, though."

“That’s really cool...I’m glad that I got to meet you. You’re really smart, you know! And you seem so confident about everything...I’m a little jealous. And...I’m glad that you’d have my back! That makes me feel kind of safe, and really special.” Dinara liked her hair being played with, very much so and gave a contented sigh, almost snuggling against Lilith.
“I’m sure that they wouldn’t want someone as dumb as me though. I’m not...good at this. I’m not good at anything really. I mean...I make decent hair bows...I...could make you one if you wanted? I like to bring them to my friends! So it just means we would have to see each other again!”
Which...sounded rather perfect. “I can bring food if you want! It could be fun!”

Lilith shook her head, a little. "I know some things," she agreed, "but my secret is that I'm not always confident--I just act that way because it's easier to actually feel it if I put up the front, first." She gave Dinara's hair one last pet, before finally, a little reluctantly, withdrawing her hand.
"And I'm glad we met, too. If you wanted, I'd love to see what kind of hair bow you made for me. Which would make us friends, then, right?" Lilith actually did perk up a little. "Because I would like to be friends."
Friends was a start. Friends might help win this sweet, innocent girl over to the right side.

Dinara utterly beamed. “Oh...that’s...a really good idea, actually. I’ll have to keep it in mind...you...ah.” She hesitated and then nodded fervently again. “Of course it makes us friends! I would love to be your friend, seriously!” It sounded wonderful. The idea of having friends was always wonderful. “I’ll start working on it right away then and keep it with me for when we meet up!”
She looked so pleased for a moment and then hesitated, hugging the girl tightly. “Thank you. Thank you for wanting to be my friend. It means a lot to me, I hope you know!”
Especially since friends seemed to vanish so quickly. Family too.
If you weren’t careful, everything could and would, and did vanish...but.
Now she had another friend, so Dinara was okay for now.
That thought sustained her as she waved goodbye and skipped off towards home.
