XXXXXBrian looked at the challenger in front of him, sizing up the trainer with a critical eye. Based on her posture and the look on her face, this challenger knew what she was up against. It wasn't often he was challenged by someone who had actually researched his Gym and taken the necessary precautions, so this should be a treat, both for him and his Pokemon. The female trainer watched Brian as he seemed to give a slight nod before speaking.
"Ye're very brave to challenge me," he said, giving her a slight smile. "Not many who have made it this far have the mental fortitude to pass my tests, yet ye've done so easily, it seems. And if the Mightyena standing next to ye is any indication, ye've also done yer homework to prepare a strategy. The question is, can ye hold yer own against my team of Psychics, or will yer strategy crumble?" Having said this, he threw the Pokeball he was holding, and in a flash of white light, a Solrock appeared, floating off the ground and staring at its opponent with an almost empty gaze. A Pokeball clipped to his belt wobbled slightly, and he placed a gentle hand on it. Easy, now, ye'll get a turn soon enough, he told the occupant telepathically.
