We had been ramping up platinum grants since last week. Will continue to ramp up the reward over time.

Sorry the platinum earning for zOMG will be ramped up very soon.

We need to make a few core changes but we can increase the max limit.

The spring sale only had items in the cash shop: a new item and recolors, new and old bundles. There were no direct sale components.

If the only concern is with tickets, we're aware that there are people who want to buy them for GC and they will be available when possible.

Sorry, I'm late. It is another beautiful day in Thailand. 6 am and it is already 82 degrees.

I worked a bit on Rally yesterday for the keyboard controls and cleaning up a few things. I know I'm behind on that, but I'll get the improvements out asap.

Right at the moment we do not have any openings in our Customer Service team, tho that may change in the future.

As far as your questions:

The requirements vary as there are multiple different jobs in Customer Service from Account Integrity, Help Desk, Billing, and general Site Administrator. If/When we open up a position the requirements for the job would be listed in the posting.

I was not a Moderator before I was hired into the CS team, but the first thing done was take me through Moderator training so that I would be aware of how to handle things on the site, see what is or isn't a violation, get to understand the concerns and desires of the community, and to make sure I had a good grounding in exactly what the culture of Gaia was.

We typically only have in-house Staff, not remote sorry. Though with the pandemic we all are working remotely currently, so never say never. biggrin

Unfortunately the only volunteers we have are our Moderators and Forum Assistants. Any Staff positions are hired on and paid as such, sorry.

We have in the past and I am sure again in the future will send out a notice when we have certain positions open. Keep your eye on Announcements and Staff Notices!

It is not up to me, but the technical requirements are a nightmare for the aquarium.

As Codemonkey said, the main issue is that flash is a very good at handling things like animation, while converting things like the swimming behaviors into HTML5 would be a tremendous amount of work for the number of fishes we have.

While I would love that, I have to say some of the items are technically convertible but others are not. They took advantage of in build flash features that just don't exist on mobile.

Unfortunately no. Mobile browsers are a lot more strict in stopping flash from working. We don't have control over this unfortunately.

Sorry we have not had an update for Fishing in a while, but one is in the works and we will bring back fising trophise on or before the update.

I get where you are coming from, but realize that the same people are not working on all of these projects. Also sometimes circumstances dictate what needs to be done. Projects like Rally get interrupted by games for events, for example.

The project had faced a bit of a delay as we had some backend updates to take care of. Currently the system will allow other users to vote on other submitted tags to ensure the quality of submissions.

That's odd, we had been testing this function for a while now, I can loosen the login token time requirement to see if that improve things for you.

That was a great event! Uncle Kenny and I were up to the wee hours on that one. That is the event where switchem was launched.

But to answer your question, I just don't know. A battle event would be fun though.

I'm not sure. We have to get the new spaces system (Rally) nice and polished before we can even start thinking about houses.

I am not sure that is a true statement. Most who break the rules, or who believe that what they posted didn't break the rules, yes, they would probably agree with you.

But for the most part we believe that most users like the job the Moderators do and definitely stand behind all the good work they do for the site.

Currently we're still managing some issues with the new system to ensure 100% delivery rate. When things are solid we will open up more options. The tricky part is that we need to ensure that emails we sent are not bounced or rejected, otherwise it'll hurt the score of our email server and mess up delivery of your messages. But at the same time, we don't have control over what email addresses Gaians enter into the system.

Sorry for the bugs in the current inventory system. We will be performing an overhaul of the system soon to fix the rearranging issue.

The ticket was removed and winners got their items ages ago (on whatever the date that was specified in the announcement)

If the ticket is still in the shop, it's not actually purchasable and just stuck there because of a cacheing issue.

Originally Dark Mode was sponsored by a team that was working on a browser extension, but unfortunately the extension could not get approval and the project was in limbo. Another team had taken up the project and Dark Mode will be rolled into another feature instead. Sorry for the wait.

We will just have to see. I need to get the new spaces stable first.

It will be getting an overhaul (in the form of a new thread) soon. For a while, I was pretty much the only one available to go through it and it was just too much for one person. Now that we have more eyes/hands, and with a better setup, we'll be able to stay on top of it.
