Purpurty let out a long sad whine. She was sick of walking they had been walking for days. Why did the stupid pottery get to rid in the cart instead of her? Ugh so stupid! Of course the tiny annoying gift from Eris got to rid in a pot. Ugh this was all Eris fault! Stupid goddess and her stupid maze and doing stupid things like giving people random babies. She didn't want to move she wanted to stay with Skogur or uncle Kula but nooooo 'this child is your responsibility you have to take care of it.' So laaaame. Stupid moms. Raabia' was laying a comforting hand on her sister's shoulder. Poor Aisha had gotten lost earlier on the trip. While she didn't like being apart from her sister she knew that her twin had it much worse with panic attacks when they where separated.
"I'll hold on to you so you don't get lost again okay? We will be there soon." She said soothingly. She was tired and stressed the moment she noticed her twin missing she had taken off to find her and ended up getting lost her self.
Luckily they manged to find each other and then find the caravan. Laz had smothered them with worry and then scolded them when they returned.Lazuryt was tired and frustrated. Shah had manged to get a small cart for the wears and their luggage to the helipad then they borrowed a bigger wagon during the caravan but then they had to separate from the caravan as it wasn't wise to mention Agauni.
So now the pottery and tiny baby that was the cause of this mess where in a hand cart she was pulling along as they trotted down the road to the town.
The children where whining, she had long given up on shushing Purpuryt as it didn't work at all.
Then the older twins ran off on their own and gave her a heart attack when they where with the group so now she had to keep a double sharp eye on them.
Laz had never walked this much in her life and she didn't think she would ever go for a walk again after this. She was never taking the kids anywhere ever again.
At least the plan to hid the kid in the pottery worked, no one had noticed and most of the crying was when they where walking. Trying to feed them and stuff while trying to keep them a secret was hard.
At least they would soon be at a town where faun where welcome and they wouldn't have to worry about a thing. Fluorite was having the time of his little life chewing on a baby toy they had given him. He liked the sound the jar he was in made when he clacked his little hooves on it.

"MOOOOOOOOOOOOM ARE WE THERE YEEEEEEEEET?"
Which mom?
Both moms.
Who was whining?
Naturally, Tanzanyt. The teen was omega McDONE with this 'adventure' the family was going on. ******** Agauni. ******** her sister's bug thing. ******** her sister. This was all Purr's fault, which she made sure to express by huffing under her breath, "If SOMEBODY had just listened to mom and hadn't snuck out to freakin' third-wheel Uncle's date, I bet we'd still be back at home right now." Ugh, if any of her friends saw her covered in dirt from traveling like this, she would just die of embarrassment.
Couldn't they just, like, leave Purr here with her stupid kid and go home without her?
On the other end of the high-energy spectrum, Aisha was on the edge of dissolving into another fit of tears as she looked over at Raabi'a and nodded. It had been so scary being alone. All she'd done was step aside to relieve herself, but everyone was gone when she got back. How could they have left her!
It had been so scary.
Needless to say, the trip so far had been more eventful than Shahrazad had anticipated.
Sure, she'd grown a bit lazy in her time living in the City with all its conveniences, but at one point she had lived largely alone in a forest, and she lacked the wings (and, thus, flight) afforded to the rest of her family. But she hadn't quite expected them to dislike walking so much.
That had been one reason they'd originally intended on traveling with a caravan, but between this and that (this being the older ones getting lost, that being the little bugger) and them crossing over the Waplei, their time to part had come. It was almost the end of their journey, and so they needed to finish it alone.
Even so, the sheer lack of anything suggesting a settlement ahead was eerie, to say the least. Looking over at Laz as the rak re-adjusted some of their belongings she carried in a sack on her back, she commented softly. "Agauni is said to be along the path branching left of the Waplei bridge, right?"

Purpuryt had decided that if she ever saw Eris again the first thing she was going to do was punch the stupid goddess in the face for giving her this dumb baby and making her walk all this way to some stupid town.
The only good thing was that Tanz didn't seem to be fairing any better than she was on this trip. She sniggered a bit at all the dirt on her sisters face.
Raabi'a felt terrible that she had left her sister behind, there was so much chaos when they where leaving the caravan that she thought her sister was right behind her.
"Sorry Aisha" She whispered to her sister as she held her sisters hand.
Laz frowned as they continued along, it was starting to get a bit weird that they weren't seeing anything related to a town.
"Yes I believe so." She replied to Shah's question. She really hoped that they hadn't gone the wrong way and gotten lost.
She was so tired of the kids whining and walking. She hoped they wouldn't have to set up camp tonight, they should be close enough to make it to town before nightfall but something seemed off.
She was purposefully ignoring Tanz's whining.
Fluorite continued clacking his hoofs on the pot he was in giggling at the sound.

Tanz glared the glare of a century over at Pur in response to the smug look plastered on her face, holding it for a few moments before mouthing, 'I hate you,'
This was all her fault.
She wanted to go back to the city already why were they having to come out here in the boonies.
Aisha shook her head 'no' before looking over at Raabi'a with a soft smile. She was just happy her twin was here with her now.
Shah furrowed her brow at Laz's confirmation - this had to be the correct way. But the road was far from maintained, what with how unleveled it was and the amount of vegetation growing on the edges and cracks. Certainly not something you'd expect from the path leading into a major trading hub.
Not good...
Raising her head, she strained her eyes to look onto the horizon and a curious shape beginning to come into view. If her eyes didn't deceive her... "Hey Laz, do you see that?" She pointed forward towards what appeared to be the silhouette of some sort of structure.

Purpuryt cackled to herself as her sister mouthed 'i hate you'. Feeling was mutual, shame Tanz wasn't the one who got lost earlier, then they wouldn't have had to go back to look for her.
Raabi'a smiled back at her sister, so forgiving, she love Aisha so much. The best sister.
Laz huffed in annoyance the vegetation kept trying to snag the wheels of the cart.
"Finally!" She sighed with relief as Shah pointed out something in the distance.
"Who ever is supposed to maintain this road is going to get such an ear full when i find them" she grumbled

"MOOOOOOOOOOOOM CAN WE JUST GO HOOOOOME ALREADY I HATE THIIIIIIIS!"
Aisha had perfected the art of ignoring her younger sisters' whining some time ago and had fully tuned them out. As much as she wanted to whine about how this was ruining her hair and drying her skin out, she was ultimately just glad to be back with everyone again. Her own whining could come later in the form of a sisterly b***h-fit with her twin.
Suspicion continued to gnaw at the back of Shah's mind even as the structure soon came into focus as an archway. Just... an archway. Nothing else obviously resembling buildings seemed to appear as the approached what anypae would expect to be the gate leading into Agauni. Perhaps had the terrain been different, they could have explained it away, but it was flat here and their visibility good.
Even more than that, there was something... unnerving about the place. Perhaps it was the little things - the unmaintained road, the lack of buildings - the silence.
Yes, perhaps it was simply the unnatural silence. It was eerie, as if there was little life to be had here at all. It certainly did not fit what would be expected of a bustling trade hub.

Raabi'a frowned picking up on her mother's distress. Something was clearly wrong here, they should have seen the town yeah? She sigh softly and gripped Aisha's hand. As long as her twin was with it was fine.
The closer they got the more Laz began to worry, they should be seeing something? Then as they rolled the cart through the arch Laz felt a pit in her stomach as the clearly something wrong amplified 100 fold at the fact that there was nothing here. Well there where still shitty cobble everywhere and some big stone pieces she thinks used to be buildings.
She had assumed there wasn't any news on the place because the city called it heretical. No it was just gone.
What the ******** happened here?
Laz was thiiis close to losing it at this point between the kids being brats and the lack of anything. She hoped Shah would do her thing where she magically says something that calms Laz down.

Something was decidedly not right about this place, and it wasn't just the lack of paeple. No... There was almost something in the air that made the back of one's neck p***k up, as if it was telling them this was not a place to linger.
It seemed they'd finally reached Agauni...
Or... well... its ruins, that is...
Unlike the younger pair of twins and, probably, the thing currently being rolled around while in one of the jars, Aisha could sense the tension in the air rising as they approached and crossed under the archway that should have been the village's entrance. But, rather than village all she saw was... rock. Just pieces of crumbling structures and vegetation overgrowth eroding what semblance of cobblestone pathways remained.
Her brows furrowed in confusion as she looked over to exchange a glance with Raabi'a and return a soft squeeze of her hand.
Yeah, Tanz decidedly did not, or chose not to, read the atmosphere as she very loudly commented upon them reaching the ruins, "What in the everlasting ********> only to roll her eyes at the stern look her mother gave her and follow up with, "Oh COME ON just look at it - is THIS really it?"
Shah glanced over and could tell that her little Lazzy-boo was on the verge of a Lazzy-breakdown and determined they needed to go get some stress relief before one of the younger twins sent her over the edge. Readjusting the sack on her back and clearing her throat to get everyone's attention, she pointed towards a remnant structure that appeared to be more-or-less intact.
"Let's go set our things down in there for now and rest. It sounds like everyone is tired." She used her stern mom voice as she glanced at the rambunctious ones before glancing back at Laz to make sure she was holding out for now. Once their items were in the building, she'd motion for Laz to follow her outside (and glare at the kids to stay decidedly inside) so they could walk around and see what they were working with.

Purpuryt simple stared in disbelief the ruins. She winced at her sisters screeching. Ugh we get it! This fukin sucks! shut uupp, it wasn't like they where actually going to stay here or whatever. Look at it! everything was broken! No one was here!
She sighed tiredly as they trudged over to the mostly intact building and she was handed the tiny tiny baby. Stupid tiny baby she was stuck with because someone threw it into their stupid window.
Raabi'a made a thoughtful hmm as she stared at the ruins. Yeah something was not right. She exchanged a glace with Aisha and squeezed her sisters hand. She tried to offer a reassuring smile as best she could in this situation.
Laz almost let out an infuriated scream when tanz loudly swore. Between everything she was ready to just yell and maybe throw some pots.
She was to stressed and frustrated, not to mention confused about how the heck everything ended up like this to give a nice rational response to Tanz so she settled for glaring at her child as Shah lead them over to a building.
Happy to be free of the cart she grabbed the baby and shoved it in Pur's arms before rushing off after Shah slightly relieved to be away from the kids.
But also not very because what the heck was going on? This was not in the plan. How where they supposed to deal with a whole town just suddenly not existing?
Once they where far enough away that the kids couldn't over hear them she turned to Shah. "What do we do now?" the distress was clear in her voice.

Tanz very dramatically in that oh-so-teenager way rolled her eyes at her mother's glare before sighing in a similar fashion. Why were they getting mad at her? SHE WAS RIGHT!
She was very much the picture of huffing and puffing as she walked over and sat down next to her older sister, but also as far away from Pur and the bug-thing as she could manage while doing so. Aisha smiled back at her sister before taking a sigh in and out to try and keep calm. Her nerves were mostly intact by this point in the walking, in no small part thanks to Raabi'a, and she was quickly regaining the spunk in her step. Or... she would have been in more optimistic circumstances.
For now, as much as she too wanted to complain and just go. home., she was holding her tongue and trying to play the part of the responsible older sister. And big sis's don't whine about these things - they just think them.
She wandered to set her stuff by the walk and lean against it to rest her back while pulling Raabi'a along with her. When Tanz sat down next to them, she raised an eyebrow and, with no small amount of restraint, bit down on the sarcasm she wanted to sling her way. ~~ Meanwhile, elsewhere in the ruins ~~ Shah glanced over and could tell that her little Lazzy-boo was on the verge of a Lazzy-breakdown and determined they needed to go get some stress relief before one of the younger twins sent her over the edge. Readjusting the sack on her back and clearing her throat to get everyone's attention, she pointed towards a remnant structure that appeared to be more-or-less intact.

Raabi'a offered no resistance as Aisha dragged her over to a wall and sat down. Once her stuff was settled she leaned her head on her sisters shoulder. There was a heck of a lot of clean up (and building) to be done around here but right now she was too damn tired to do more than brush some pebbles away from where she placed her butt. No one wanted to sit on pebbles.Pur sighed as she saw Tanz sit down next to their older sisters, looks like she was going to be alone on the other side of the 'building' with the bug thing then. Tanz would no doubt be a whiny shit and complain if she went to sat down with the rest of them and Aisha never left Raabia's side.Since they would probably be here a while and their parents had ditched them Pur sat down on the other side of the ruins set the bug thing down to do what ever the hell it wanted and pulled a book out of her bag and started reading it.
Fluorite wiggled around before figuring out how to crawl and promptly wiggle-crawled over to some rubble and started chewing on a rock. Laz sighed and put her face in her hands once they where safely away from the kids. This was all her fault, it had been her idea to move and of course it just happens to be to the one village that some how got wiped off the map with no one noticing!
After a moment she turned to Shah. "Thanks" she said softly glad the other pulled her out before she had a breakdown in front of the kids.
"What the ******** happened here?" She questioned as she looked around at all the broken buildings and other sources of rubble.(freedom from the children! parent only rp weee)

Once they were sufficiently far away from the kids, Shah dropped her calm facade and let out a hearty sigh as she ran a hand through her hair. "<******** if I know... Man... this is really bad, isn't it." Her ears flicked around to try and catch sound of anything, but for the most part, everything was quiet. Creepily so, even.
"We can't go back to the city at this point, so we'll be here at least a night or two... But ********... What now...?"

"I i dont know" Laz said her voice sounding like she was on the verge of crying.
She took a few deep breaths to try and calm down.
"Okay I guess we look for anything still standing? or usable?" She walked as she spoke looking for any buildings that still had all 4 walls up.
"Its so creepy, how long ago did this get destroyed, where did the paeple go?" Laz chewed on her lip what if whatever happened happened again? Would they even be safe here for a day or two. Shah was right about not being able to go back to the city.
Not unless they ditched the bugchild out here and when back without it but that was out of the question. Laz just couldn't abandon a child.

That did seem like the only thing to do at this point... Just set up camp for a day or two and go from there. Sure, the lack of electricity was... annoying... to say the least, but it wouldn't kill em.
The younger twins' complaining just might though.
"That sounds like the best plan... There seem to be a number of buildings still intact, if nothing else. And there's water nearby, which means fish, so we have the necessities if nothing else." She placed a hand on her hip and sighed again before glancing at Laz. "Creepy as it is, though, I don't particularly sense anything off about it. We should be fine to stay here at least long enough to rest and get our bearings." There was an unexpected flurry of rustling and movement in some rubble nearby if the pair was paying attention. Perhaps something was reacting to the sudden influx of life to the area?

Laz sighed "I suppose your right. There is nothing we can do but stay and camp out for now." At least there was shelter and food available.
Suddenly Laz noticed a rustling noise near by and frowned. "Did you hear that?" She asked before heading over where the sound was coming from.
