As she lay there on the moss bedded floor of her den in the caves behind the waterfalls the pain was becoming distinct. Kiva couldn't have expected it to hurt like this, was this what Kami went through when she birthed her two cubs? The rush of the (tame) waterfall did nothing to hide her discomforted roars, as they came one after another, the signs of the oncoming birth obvious.

Ororo, where are you?! I need you here!

It didn't seem like the cubs were going to wait for Ororo to arrive. Kiva couldn't do more than whimper and settle down, shifting her weight to her side to try easing the pain. The position felt more natural, but the discomfort continued as her contractions just grew worse. She could feel them squirming, three of them, just as she suspected. The female groaned and shut her eyes.

~This is it, Kiva, you can do this, you have to.~

Still, she really wished that her mate could've been here. She hadn't even talked to Kiamba since that night.

Mteuli was known for being a sensative person, but it wasn't always only due to his social skills. For not long ago he had felt, due to his close connect with his goddess, Kiva's distress. It was like a wave hitting his heart and mind. He had imidately gotten up and gone to the lake. Even if it hadn't been for her strong influence he would have went. He was the most endearing of friends and he'd be there if she needed him. She swamp through the water, aiming for speed rather then grace. He loped up the shore and moved into the sanctuary of his patron, concern mirrored on his features, "My lady?"

Another aggrivated growl was the Earth-priest's initial answer. M... Mteuli?

So much for keeping this a secret, and probably the rest of the pride would come running too after all that noise. Kiva had never expected the pain to be so excruciating, though. She could hardly restrain herself from shouting as much or as little as she was NOW!

Well since the secret was already out she might as well get his help, if... he could. It's the cubs, Mteuli, they're coming and I don't know what to do!

Mteuli moved to her side with quick grace. While worry pulsed through his body, his calm remained. It was needed more then ever in such times and she would need his support, this he could see. "First of all you must relax...take deep, long breaths," he soothed with a silky tone. He gave a tender lick to her forehead for comfort and settled back on his haunches with ease. "Everything will be fine, My lady, you shall see," he rumbled. It took him effort to managed a purr, but he did so convincingly and with a reasuring smile.

Ororo roamed in a restless fashion; ocher orbs drifting about the surroundings as something tugged at him, softly yearned to him, to head towards the waterfall. His thoughts were scattered and the one person whom always seemed to keep his head in perspective was the godess, Kiva.

As his paws ambled upon the ground, the adolescent's black striped ears flickered.

Was mischief about?

Before even he could ponder what possibley could be the cause of his lack of sleep, Kiva's voice broke out into his mind and caused his eyes to sudden widen.

"Kiva--KIVA!" He gasped, lunging in strides as he bolted towards the waterfall and back towards the inner cave to where the godess laid. The cries of pain and agony echoed and pined at his heart. It was time? This was it, then.

Padding deafly and softly, Ororo glanced to where both the godess and another figure sat, a male. Arching a brow as he tried to keep his calm in the matter, Lisani approached with a warm smile as he delicately brushed against Kiva.

"This is it," he whispered softly. "I'm here and you know I'm not letting you go through this alone, Kiva."

Slinking onto his stomach, Ororo'Lisani purred softly as he positioned himself aside her waiting and residing as an emotional anchor for whatever was bound to happen.

"You're doing great."

Grayed purple eyes stared up at the priest for a moment, just locking onto the sight of a familiar figure-- one she'd known throughout almost her entire life this cycle-through.

It did wonders for her nerves, though little for the pain, but the breathing suggestions did make a world of difference. It did slowly help her relax, despite the intense discomfort she felt. Ororo'Lisani's arrival and added presence just made her heart soar a little higher, and she smiled at him, despite the cramping of her abdomen. "Oro, you came..."

It seemed like no sooner than she began to relax did the first cub begin it's exit. Kiva gasped and then abruptly winced in surprise, but grit her fangs and dug her claws into the moss. A few more pained grunts and soon a little boy with wings was lying in a sac of birth-mucus. Instinct brought Kiva to lift, taking him in her jaws and bringing him close enough that she could clear his breathing passage and clean the sac carefully from his fur and wings of cloud, her eyes filling with joy in the form of tears. Her gaze shifted to Ororo and Mteuli afterwards.

((EDIT: Fixed post. xd Btw, Ronso, Ororo would know Mteuli very well since he's the Earth priest of the pride, and pretty much like a cousin-figure to him, as is Mteule (Mteuli's twin/Sky priest)))

Mteuli nodded his approval. She was doing just fine. "There you go. You're doing just fine," He told her with a condident smile. Motherly instincts were kicking in, he could tell. He had no doubt that Kiva could do this and his faith was obvious. He dipped his head slightly in a greeting to Oro and shifted his gaze to the young goldling.

The tiny god shivered and mewed at bringing brought into the chill of the world. He wriggled in the dark, wondering where the warmth of his mother's womb had gone. His cloud-like wings and tail seemed to shutter slightly as he moved, seeming to share the characteristics of his mother's tail.

With her mate beside her and one of her priests there to both offer support, Kiva suddenly felt a lot more confident in the task at hand. She didn't miss the fact, of course, that her son had the colors and markings of his father, and a part of her heart did twinge at that, both the reminder and the fact that it wasn't Ororo's offspring after all-- nor Kiamba's, even. A sure sign and reminder of that night of betrayal... She only hoped that Ororo would really have forgiven her, for she didn't want the cubs coming up without a good role model, mortal, god, or other. Ororo was the best person for the job that she knew, even if she was biased.

Once more her muscles began to contort slowly in pain, and so did her expression. A snarled growl rumbled forth as her animated cloud for a tail lashed about behind her. The second born was coming with much less ease, and the goddess had to rest her head for a moment as the pains finally passed, a second, much darker lump finding her way into the world.

She was more tired this time as Kiva strained her muscles to lift her head and retrieve the new cub, lifting her leg some to clean her off and draw her in closer to her brother for warmth. Just one more.

The goddess meweled almost the moment her nose and mouth were cleared of their elastic like prison, her wild mohawk like fur sticking up in spikes due to the moisture of her birthing and Kiva's bathing. She curled up closer to her brother on instinct, but seemed quite displeased with the situation as a hole, and showed such with what sounded a lot like a growl for one so young, her wings stretching sporatically.

"You're doing good," Mteuli said, continuing to sooth with soft, encouraging words. He was glad Oro was there, however, for he could comfort Kiva in wasy Mteuli could not. But a calm voice was always a help, though he wished he could aid with the pain. But this was birth and such was how the process went. "Remember to keep up those deep breaths, My Lady."

The little boy shifted a little at his sister's wide spread posture next to him, feeling her spread wings prod the side of his body slightly. He didn't move away, feeling his tired little limbs and the shivers from the cold, though.

Oh she really would have liked to have been free enough to properly express her gratitude to the males, but could barely focus on their voices and her task, let alone doing more than what she already was. Instead, she made sure that she went back to deep breathing, her chest heaving a bit with each exhale, followed by an intake. The last one, this was the last of them, and then she'd be done-- free to rest properly and savor the peace.

Her eyes, a bit glazed with distraction, settled on Ororo's face hovering near her head, and from there she found strength for the last pushes.

Though the birthing itself was considerably easier this time, it was much more drawn out as well. It was as if the last little one didn't want to come out! For a moment Kiva worried, almost panicked, fright eminating from her in small droves. Her worries were for naught, however. Five minutes after her concerns began the last little goddess was settled between her mother's paws recieving the same bath as her siblings.

~My babies...~

Kiva purred tiredly, and we do mean tiredly. She bathed them all again for warmth, then wearily settled them down at her side to feed.

While her breathing calmed, the mother shifted her tail and drew in a bit to encircle the cubs for more warmth and protection, head resting on her paws and eyes sliding shut. She trusted that Ororo and Mteuli would help to guard them while she rested. It was only then that Kiva directed to her mate the shaken words she'd been holding off. Yet despite her shame, she didn't regret giving live to the cubs with them now. It wasn't their fault that she'd made such a grieviance against the male beside her.

I'm sorry, Oro...

The small white cub pawed unknowingly at her mother, feeling herself being moved to be next to her older brother and sister. She crawled around to find her mothers nipples, suckling to get milk and warmth as she was surrounded by her mothers body warth.

Mteuli gave a small bow of his head to Kiva and moved to settle with his front facing the entrence. He lay down on his belly, resting his head on his paws to watch and listen as a sort of comfort and guard, though he left Kiva and Oro to their privacy. But he couldn't help but smile at the birth of three new gods. It was quite an amazing sight.

The single male finally began to move sluggishly and with little ambition, seeking something. He wasn't sure what it was until he opened his tiny mouth to fix it upon a source of warm liquid. He began to suckle at his moher's milk with content, his body becoming still and content.

It was strange, the sensation of the cubs feeding, but she quickly adjusted and voiced no complaint over the matter.

So the cubs were Kweupe's... Kiva could not help but feel this weigh heavily upon her heart. As briefly as they'd been together, their decision certainly held the most consequence. She'd really wanted to give Ororo children of his own, and felt, once again, guilty for her careless decision to let her feelings get the better of her, but she couldn't find anywhere in her heart any regret for the cubs themselves. They were still created by half of her, and she knew that if he was willing Ororo would make a good role model for them, for he was a caring individual.

Her eyes drifted open as she suddenly felt as if something was about to transpire, and watched as a bright light lit the cave for a moment. As it faded, around the second born's neck rested a necklace with a small coil-charm in the shape of a funnel, and on the third born's paw rested a paw-ring. A heart, a crown, and two paws supporting both. The symbol of loyalty...

"So these are your callings, little ones..." She murmered aloud, tiredly. "King of the Clouds... Goddess of Tornados, and keeper of Loyalty..."

Her smile became apparent, though weak from exhaustion. Motherhood was new, but this feeling of pride, joy, and love was not. She leant in and placed kisses to the top of their heads again as they fed before finally settling down for good. She hoped that Ororo would stay with her, she truely missed being close to him, and decided that after tonight she didn't want to hide their relationship anymore, nor the cubs. She'd probably roused the whole pride anyway with her racket...
