The wind blows through the trees in the Homewood sending the fall leaves dancing in the air. Like a ballet Kachina begins to follow the lead of the wind swaying this way and that. She loved to dance with the wind as it swirled and twilled around her hoofs and played games with her main. Sure she would have to spend the next hour brushing it out but she did not care. Right now her spirit was being carried away with the wind and her feet gliding with the breeze. If if she lissoned carefully she could just hear her mother's voice singing about letting the wisdom of the wing take you way.Sometimes when Kachina danced she could almost imagine she was flying with the wind as it danced around the Homewood's meadows with her in it arms. She was sure other nouls found her silly but she did not care, she was free in the winds imbrase. She often would dance around for her loved ones and friends for special events, they all thought it was beautiful and she loved doing it.
It was no surprise to Kachina when the wind finally settled that she found herself in the shadow of the Grandfather Tree. The wind had sang a song to her heart of her coming of age journey and told her it was time to stand at the roots of the Great Tree. Has she danced with the wind it had carried her to her destiny. With a gentle fluid motion she moved to the base of the roots of the great tree and bowed low, her main in a tangle falling a crossed her face. She was sure she looked wild and wind blown but the Great Tree knew her spirit which was all that mattered. "I am here Grandfather Tree." She said in no more then a whisper letting the wide carry her words to the Great Tree.
