Accalia awakened spending a good portion of the morning with her plants. Her special attention lied upon the new species which had popped up in two places growing proudly. Dipping her watering can she released the sweet tricking stream of water needed for future growth in her plants.Looking them over closely she desired to know their potential more then the other nouls around her. Her thirst for knowledge was her driven aspect in life. If her plants could grow and mature into amazing additions to Homewood then she surely would flow along with the results . A happy garden was inadvertently a productive one to the soul that cared for its well-being.

While finishing up her daily watering, her ears swiveled quietly listening in on a rumor of an adept noulicorn named Scoria bringing stones to Homewood. If Accalia remembered correctly, Scoria was a master craftsman of forging new items. It was quite a read to learn she used Scuttle Scales as er assistants. Pondering back to the downed log the younger doe wondered what her creature was doing at the moment. Sooner or later she'd need to give it name fit for a creature of its rarity. In the meantime she heard a rustle turning her head to see Padfoot watching her.

"Going to investigate the rock noul?" he asked titling his head.

"Yes" she answered quietly pausing, "Is Captain Connal with you, today"?

"Nope. Just me watching over you". he grinned tapping a foot.

"Okay" she responded. Accalia wasn't in the mood to deal with Padfoot. She wasn't really caring if he tagged along or not.

Making her way to the area with Scoria she paused dipping her head politely, In turn she was greeted by the Adept doe acknowledging that this young doe had come asking of her gift. In response Scoria had spoke of Accalia bringing a toy to impress her to receive the stone. Pondering heavily Accalia nodded, "thank you", then she headed off.

"So, whatcha going to bring her?" the curious jackhop looked to Accalia for detals.

"You'll see" she responded in deep thought as she ran home to gather supplies. Once she was satisfied she headed out of her small clearing headed out of Homewood.

Finally her Hooves stopped right before the entrance to the ruins dripping in a freshly coated rainfall. Padfoot was grumbling about the muddy area which she plainly ignored. Mud was dirt soaked with water making it seem dirty but it was all part of the process. She had no ill will toward the ground infact it made her thirsty to know how things worked nature-wise.

"What in heaven's do you need in the runis, Accalia?" He grumbled still shaking his large muddy feet of the dampened soil congealing on his feet.

"You'll see" she mentioned once again ignoring his complaining.

Moving inward the ground was much drier so Padfoot could stop complaining. Stepping through a doorway her and Connal had encountered se moved slowly down a corridor. the floor was brittle but it wasn't seriously broken where either her or Padfoot could of been injured. Jumping over a downed beam she headed inward her ears always listening. So many fawns had been warned of this danger yet, she desired to learn more about it. Her thirst would never be sated of the ones whom lived and breathed here, Cautiously, she moved downward out of one structure till her hooves made a clicking sound on a cracked surface. This strange creation reminded her of a path, a road even.

Then she paused looking around.

"You're lost aren't you? If you get injured or worse I don't think Connal..."

"Everything is fine" she murmured, "Ah, this way". Taking a left she headed into another corridor onto a rotting smooth surface.

Moving inward she found a shelf housing exactly what she was looking for.

"What in the world" the jackhop shook his head off dirt that came crumbling down, "This is what you were looking for? This.... whatever it is".

"Shh" she shushed him taking the string that was lined up in rows, "Here take this".

he protested taking the string , "Now what?!"

Nodding she spoke, "Take your paws and start rolling it together. Once you have a core I want you to keep winding the string around over and over again. Like this..."

Watching her carefully he began mimicking her with his paws, creating a ball that wound bigger and bigger till its size reached his own. Accalia took over using her horn while his paws shaped it. Once it was complete she rolled it with her horn making sure it was round. Once satisfied she actually made a small mile for only a second before turning to Padfoot, "Alright you have a job and that is not losing this ball, got it"?

Padfoot sighed then sat upward his paw raised, "Yes! Lead the way!"

"Good" she nodded heading back out knowing Padfoot didn't deserve punishment but, he did insist on scurrying along.

Moving her way back out she paused watching Padfoot struggling to roll the ball. Shaking her head she headed to his side rolling the ball with her horn. His job was to merely make sure it didn't tumble anywhere out of reach. Taking it slow she rolled the ball till they reached Homewood stopping to let Padfoot catch his breath.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once they were directly in Homewood she headed straight toward Sorcia rolling her freshly made toy. It wasn't overly heavy using coordination to keep it from rolling away. Nodding her head Accalia spoke, "Mother made my sisters and I this creation we call a "ball". Its kept us entertained for hours especially when it was passed back and forth. Its also a great tool for balancing under supervision of an adult".
Patiently, she waited till the adept Noul inspected her creation rolling it around on the ground, stopping and starting its path through the grass. Nodding in appreciation, Scoria moved the ball to her side with her hoof letting her Scuttle Scales inspect as well jumping on the creation, rolling it around, just simply as one would say- having a ball.
Taking her hoof she pushed one of of the stones forward, "You earned this. I too had one of these as a fawn. The memories are pleasant ones. May this stone find you happiness as well".
Accalia smiled for as long as she could accepting the stone. A job well done. Perhaps someday this stone would bring her luck but for now she'd ponder her achievements leaving no stone overturned. There had to be more things to find, letting her thoughts flow. Just when and where were the possibilities.
"Thank you for your help Padfoot" she murmured heading back to check on her shy creature living in the rotting log. This definitely was an experience she'd need to remember for when a Fawn was bestowed in her care. They'd need their own "ball".
