Fiontan was taking a stroll among the gorgeous, healthy, lush trees and all the greenery that dotted the landscape as far as he could see. The air was so fresh and clean here. Something as simple as a walk could make him feel good.
Nowhere, in particular, was his destination just to walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
A sound caught his attention, it was faint then it began to become clearer to his ears. Sounded like someone fussing! Curious Fiontan walked towards a small incline and started up it. As he crested the top he saw a dark male turning in circles seemingly agitated at something or someone. He was the one fussing.
Curious but also wary Fiontan huddled on the ground a bit to watch and get a read on this male. He was cautious for a reason, most of this area was kind but a few were not.
He waited and watched for a while.

Angry, his hooves pounding the hard ground Arabryn walked off in a huff. His mind was whirling, rejected again! "What was wrong with these females, do they not know perfection when they see it?" he kept muttering as each step took him further and further away from the females he had approached.
His mood was dark, angry, and he was in no mood to be trifled with. He felt embarrassed, undesirable, and quite frankly disgusted. His mind was turning over with the words each doe had uttered to him and again he felt his anger returning. Not really paying attention, he just walked and kicked at the ground sometimes making contact with a rock, patch of weeds or hard dirt.
His eyes narrowed as he spied a flash of color off to his left, turning his head quickly he was ready to be defensive when he saw it was just a small Jack Hop and he let his breath out in a hard rush. His pent up frustration had him ready to berate anything that came into contact with him.
He stopped to look around to find his bearings for a moment, but his anger would not be abated. He began to pace and for some strange reason, he began to circle about himself replaying the whole interaction in his mind over and over again. Every now and then a statement said would slip from his mouth but he mostly was quiet.
The pacing seemed to appease him then again it made him even angrier he was at a loss as to why.
A small sound caught his attention and he looked up in front of him and saw something on the incline just above him.
Narrowing his eyes, he took a step back and waited.

Trying to move to get more comfortable, one of his legs slipped causing some dirt to come loose and drift down the side of the incline towards the male he had been watching.
Holding his breath he waited to see what would happen. As luck would have it the other male heard the noise and looked up just in time to see him try to move back over the incline and locked eyes with him.
Never one to shy away, Fiontan stepped back up to the incline and stood tall and proud. Looking the other male in the eyes he nodded. Then slowly he made his way down the hill while keeping the male in his line of sight. He did stop a respectful distance and tilted his head to the side as if sizing him up.
"Hello friend, my name is Fiontan. I was not trying to be nosy or rude but you seemed distressed and I wanted to be sure you were well before I walked off. You seem like you are upset about something, I would be happy to listen if you like" with that he took a few steps back and waited for the other male to answer.

Arabryn was shocked as this male just had the audacity to walk up to him as if he was better than he was. This made him even madder.
His eyes were blazing with anger and narrowed so much, so he only saw a bit of the male in front of him. Then he tilted his head as if to size him up? What was that all about.
He was about to tell this male to go on about his business and stay out of his when he spoke. His words startled him, he sounded almost sincere.
Most of his kind thought he was too into himself to even be near let alone have a decent conversation with. He knew he could be so full of himself but no one else seemed to believe in him so he had to.
He opened his mouth to set this male straight but instead the words he intended to say became this "You seem to be genuine in your concern for my well being which is baffling to me, to say the least. You do not know me at all. The question is why?"

"There has to be a reason? You look like you could use a friend right about now and I am the only one about so I would like to be your friend. Is that so hard for you to accept? We can talk about whatever you like and then maybe once you are not so agitated take a nice walk to relieve all that stress" as he was talking he walked over to a nice shaded area under several large trees and stretched before laying down and getting comfortable.
He was not sure if his new friend would join him, yell at him, charge at him or just stare at him. Whatever the outcome he was prepared to see this strange day through.

Feeling suddenly foolish, Arabryn walked over and found a spot close but far enough apart he felt comfortable. The words began to tumble out in regards to the disastrous conversations he had with the does a short time ago. He let all his feelings out and to be honest with himself he felt better after talking to this male.
