The weather was finally gracing Destiny City with a somewhat warm evening, and Sailor Albireo was taking full advantage of the fact. She told herself that she was out for a patrol, told herself she was out to actually do something…not just to enjoy the balmy evening. But…
She was lying, and she knew it.
The senshi of swans wore a smile on her face as she relaxed under a tree and allowed the cool breeze to play over her face, happy that things were calm and quiet. Happy that things felt…
...Felt
Well. Things had felt peaceful, but now…now there was the unmistakable sickening feeling of chaos nearby and Albireo shot up, scowling slightly. No, whoever this was would not ruin her night of peace and relaxation. She hadn’t wanted to patrol at all this evening and…and now…
She had to really work?. Nonsense. Quickly, she made her way towards the aura, hands on her hips. “I was trying to relax. Are you busy being…” Her green eyes blinked in surprise as she took in the slightly blue agent of the Negaverse before her. “…A monster?”

Lavendulan rolled her eyes in exasperation.
“I’m not a monster… I’m a half-youma,” she corrected the senshi. Not that it made a difference to anyone but her but she’d rather not be grouped with a class of fictional characters that only existed in movies, books, and online games.
The ground around them was still damp from the earlier rain shower, but the air felt warmer then it had in months. Then again, when Laven’s body temperature was naturally lower than normal humans what might be thought of as cold was actually quite comfortable for her.
“You can go back to whatever it was you were doing. I’m not interested in fighting.” Not with a super senshi at least. Without the ability to teleport, the only thing she had to rely on was her ability to run quickly when switching forms. One on one Laven wasn’t so sure she’d stand a chance even if the other woman was wearing a dress with fancy ballet slippers.

Half youma? Albireo hesitated. She wasn’t sure how to process such information. She knew youma, of course…and…perhaps she had met some half youma before…or at least had seen them but…nobody who really stuck out in her mind.
Then again, she preferred to forget her life as a corrupted senshi. It never worked, of course but…it was what she preferred…
“Youma are monsters though. That’s literally the point…so if you’re a half youma, you’re at least half a monster…and no, I can’t just go back to what I was doing…there’s work to do…you might say you don’t want to fight…but here you are…out in the city…making mischief, I bet…so I’m under…under duty to not let that happen. That’s my job. Why I’m here.”
Her magic was useless but…maybe it would scare her away. If she could get the monster to crawl back into whatever sewer that she had come out of… “Honking Distraction!” Albireo’s expression was cool, and as the noise of her magic began, she relaxed slightly, almost enjoying the familiar sounds of many swans…even if it was loud to the point of painful.

Sailor Albireo clasps her hands together and closes her eyes, opening her mouth and letting out the strangest sound, like that of a Trumpeter Swan. This then echos around the battle, seeming to come from all around, giving the impression that there are more swans or more people around. The effect can be confusing, especially if Sailor Albiero is not in sight of the battle. It lasts for fifteen seconds and can be used twice per battle.

Startled by the sudden loud, almost deafening, sounds of honking Lavendulan immediately clamped her hands over her ears and had to fight to remain standing as her body almost begged her to drop to her knees and curl into a fetal position.
She took a staggering step backward and almost let out a yelp when her heel bumped against something she didn’t know was there, thinking it might be a bird looking to take an unpleasant bite out of her a**… or elbow… or anything it could get its wretched beak onto. But… there was nothing there, no white feathers flapping in her face.
“The ******** is this?”
Magic, like her own, but it didn’t manifest itself in a physical form like her orb or whip when she changed shape. Her ears rang and head felt like it was about to split from the onset of a migraine, but there was nothing she could do except try and put some distance between herself and the White Moon senshi.
“You know nothing, you live by your truths and perceptions and that makes you ignorant.” Not even a shred of compassion or attempt to understand.
“Between the two of us you are more of a monster than I am. A senshi who has a homeworld somewhere out there” She bit out, before pointing a finger up at the star-filled sky and for a moment she was glad that Wolframite wasn’t here since his hearing was more sensitive than her own. “I know about you senshi and your knights. Named after places, not of this world or even solar system, with a place of your own that cant be found by a boat or plane.”
“You attack me because I’m different, I’ve committed no crime and yet you condemn me because I exist? Because my presence somehow ruined your quiet night? You’re the one that came to me sweetheart, not the other way around.” Even with the obvious difference in their strengths Laven couldn’t help herself from lashing out as she was.
When the magic stopped, or perhaps she had finally stepped out of its range, Lavendulan’s form shifted to that of water and in her right hand was an orb that was then thrown at the Senshi as a warning to keep her distance. “Normal humans can’t use magic, they’re ignorant to this stupid war we’re stuck fighting and you’re not from here... So what does that make you?”
Alien she wanted to say but sided with better judgment and decided to let her come to that conclusion instead.
2) Magical: Water Metamorphosis While still retaining her actual form Lavendulan's entire body transforms into water.
When in this form she is one with her element; physical attacks pass through her unaffected like putting your hand into a flowing stream her body morphs around it. Her movement speed is increased, like a river upstream weaving through rapids, but not to exceed the next highest stage allowing her to change location quickly. While metamorphosis is active Lavendulan can bend water around her in a 7' radius. It takes one of two shapes; a sphere similar to the size and weight of a medicine ball or a thin whip. Both are used more defensively like a harsh shove to push someone over or a snapping sensation. At most, there might be a bruise in the morning unless the character she's attacking lands on something unfortunate.
Duration: 20 seconds Usage: 3 Note: Certain magic attacks still work but will need to be discussed before a battle. At General stage, the movement increase while in water form will not match that of a General King or Queen.

Every fiber of Albireo was screaming at her to run. To leave while the monster was distracted, but she was scared, and there was a small part of her that yearned to help. Didn’t she know better than anyone what it was like to be stuck in the dark?
“Have you ever been?” She asked, surprised that her voice sounded so calm. “Have you ever had someone take you up there? Up into space? To see…see what a wreck our worlds have become?” She swallowed, her eyes wary as she saw the youma change into a form that almost seemed like water. “…I’m from earth. I was born here. I…it’s my starseed that’s from Albireo. My power. But. It’s…” The senshi hesitated, taking a tentative step towards Lavendulan. “…I could take you up there, if you wanted to go. It’s…not a great place. I’ve gone once and…and the whole idea that my world died because of…of me sent me into the arms of the Negaverse. But…I…I didn’t fit in with the dark.”
Zinkenite knew that she was purified again, so it didn’t really matter too much who else knew.
“…Maybe we could go together. Maybe we could be friends…I’m…sorry for the harsh things…that I um…that I said.”

“No,” Confused and alarmed, Lavendulan shook her head and took a step away slowly. Her eyes narrowed while her water orb was held at the ready. “For one, this is definitely not how you go about making friends.” No hello, how are you? Nothing but insults to injury while making her ears ring so bad she thought they were about to bleed.
Now what? Suddenly she felt... remorse? This was a trick to get her to lower her guard. It must be…
“And second, I’m not exactly inclined to become your prisoner.” It was bad enough that she already was one, always relying on someone else to get around. But soon, her home with Wolframite would be complete and someday she would be promoted to captain and could teleport herself to and from Density City. There was hard-earned freedom in her near future.
Under different circumstances, she may have been inclined to accept the offer But not now that was not an option, that path was completely blocked by a promise she made and knew damn well the consequences if she were to break it. Either she would lose all of who she was and be forced to return or death's cold embrace would welcome her home.
“It doesn’t matter that you were once on our side, you’re not now.” And yet a rather large part of her yearned to know how but that was a path she couldn’t walk down. Not right now while she was still vulnerable enough to be blindly led to her ultimate destruction. “I can’t trust you.”

Albireo took a step back unintentionally, wincing at the sudden harshness from the half youma. “…Oh. I…Prisoner? I didn’t want you to be my prisoner at all…I just…”
…She was lonely.
And she truly didn’t want to face going up to Albireo on her own…the thought terrified her, if she were going to be honest. But…she supposed that she had no real reason to be honest to this officer and so for a moment, the senshi bowed her head.
“Nevermind. You’re right! I’m not on your side and. Yeah.” For some reason, she felt a lump rising in her throat and it suddenly felt hard to breathe.
It was moments like this that she missed having the ability to teleport. It would have been so easy to just get out of there before she burst into tears…or worse. “Well. I apologize. I…I’ll let you be. Don’t…don’t go doing any…youma things…or I’ll have to find you again. And…I don’t know...”
She turned her back on the half youma. “Take you prisoner on my homeworld.” If that was a threat that was going to be brought up against her…that. Damn if she wasn’t going to throw it back.
It suddenly seemed like a very good night for ice cream. And a lot of it.

The half-youma’s pupils pulled into thin slits and without warning, when the White Moon Senshi turned around so her back was to her, Laven lashed out with her water whip.
“I don’t take well to idle threats from someone like you.” Someone who starts a fight then pretends to feel remorse for her actions and offers a white flag of peace while holding a dagger behind their back. “You made the choice to walk away. But missing memories is not an excuse for willful ignorance.”
“So here’s a warning for you, Albireo. Attack anyone unprovoked again and I will find a way to hunt you down and bring you back to the Dark Kingdom. What happens to you next will be out of my hands but I imagine our Queen will not take kindly to traitors.”

Albireo felt the sting of something across her back and her hands curled into fists, a hiss escaping her mouth.
She could no longer hold back the tears that had been threatening and shook her head once, hard before running as quickly as she could, utterly unwilling to let this…this monster see her cry. This was not the time or place for such things…and she wouldn’t be that weak. She couldn’t be.
But…perhaps…next time she shouldn’t go in, guns blazing.
Perhaps next time she would just…not engage at all.
Perhaps she should just…give up this whole senshi business once again. There was no point in it. No reason to keep doing anything. As she got further away, a sob escaped the super senshi and she reached up, scrubbing her eyes.
She thought that she was rid of these feelings but. Perhaps she would never be able to run far enough or fast enough to really be free.
