IN-DEPTH:
Keirin grew up the only foal to a sunny solar adept mother and a somewhat meek, yet excitable vivify apprentice father. Their personalities tended more toward playful and nurturing, so even though they were both very diligent parents, they strayed away from pushing Keirin too hard, too fast, or for too much. He had an easy, pampered foalhood, filled more with praise than with criticism.
Because of this, he tends to shy away from challenges many noulis would rise to. Keirin doesn't like to make hardship for himself where none is needed, and he frequently feels like he wouldn't be successful at tackling tough problems, anyway... He is certainly not a fighter, and his slender frame feels more suited for something nice to look at, rather than to do anything with.
Keirin is ashamed of this mentality.
He sees others working themselves raw to bring life back to their weathered world, and he knows that no matter what the extent of his abilities are, doing something is better than doing nothing. Keirin will almost never push himself to exhaustion, but he is willing to try to achieve something when his help is needed. He is far from overbearing and is more likely to let trouble come to him than he is to seek it out.
He is typically unhurried, soft-spoken and does his best to maintain a thoughtful and upright composure, lending him a solid and peaceful air for injured noulis to benefit from.
The only exception is when he is pushed. When he is forced to work himself to sweat, when the sun beats down relentlessly, when his sleek mane and tail become tangled in his exertion, Keirin is easily driven to complain. He is still not loud, not overly vocal, but his tone can take on something more of a whine, and he is more willing to quit when things become challenging.
