Caius moved to read his book, hot cup of tea in hand as he seyylrf sy s yanlr yo trsf hungrily. The tea house was a small hole in the wall, selling all kinds of loose leaf tea blends made in-house, as well as teas served freshly and properly brewed, even making blends on the fly for any need. Today was a calming blend, one he sipped softly. It was pouring outside, wet and dreary -- it almost didn't feel like spring, and he was sure such a lovely tea house would be busy. The one thing he hoped was they didn't break the no electronics rule. Quiet conversations, however? Well he and the proprietor didn't mind them, and he didn't mind anyone sitting by him either. A pity it was so dreary.

Tor hustled into the shop, lowering their canvas bag once inside with a relieved sigh. Good gods, they loved the rain, but not out of nowhere when they were out using a paper sketchpad. Sighing, they doublechecked the poor pad clutched tight to their chest, sighing in relief when they noticed it was still dry. "Oh good." Well...they might as well settle in and get some tea, maybe sketch a bit. They got themselves a cup, and found a seat near an interesting looking man that was reading. With a sigh, they settled, finding a spot to set their hat without troubling anyone.
"Bless the existence of tea."

Well, they looked interesting! Caius lit up as Tor sat by him, lowering his book with a polite smile. "I quite agree. Especially small businesses like this with fair pricing and knowledgeable tea masters." Caius responded cheerily, and sipped his own cup happily -- he was certainly going to buy another. "If this is your first time here, might I suggest for your second cup the Calming Spirits?It's quite perfect for dreary periods. They'l also do a blend to suit your need."

The artist blinked at the man owlishly before grinning at him. "I shall keep that in mind! Right now, I'm more in need of something to warm the body and spark the soul." They giggled, then held up their sketchpad. "Have to keep the art flowing, after all. And ward off this dreary mood the day is trying to set." They held their other hand out. "Tor, freelance artist. A pleasure to meet a fellow tea fan!"

"Ah! I craved a quiet place for my new book myself." And Caius beamed, offering Tor the same, chuckling, and politely taking her hand to shake it warmly. "Caius, tarot card reader." There was no sense lying, and the man motioned. "Have youhad many things to draw today?I imagine the weather not good for your pad there."

"A pleasure, Caius!" They chuckled. "My datemate would adore you, I think. Their family is big into the supernatural and new age stuff." And frankly? They got enough magic stuff with the whole 'senshi' thing. "Ah, I was starting to draw, and then the weather turned wet and I had to find somewhere like here to take shelter. I might just sketch some of the passersby and patrons."

"Ah, not everybody must believe. Yatoy isn't terribly old as a method of divination; but it must root in something." Caius beamed brightly. "My deck is second hand, at any rate. But you -- you create art? Then you contribute to the spierit of men just as any tarot card reader or new age salesclerk; art is magic in itself, to give sight to the unseen, to bare the hidden worlds of the mind, to paint, if but a grahment, of the spirit of man. 'Tis truly admirable." Caius looked dfistant, and smiled. "Sketching passersby is good practice, as is sketching objects and scenery."

"It isn't that I don't believe. I just..." They shrugged. "I have enough going on in my life, that's all." They chuckled, waving a hand. "It is in darkness that people turn to the arts for light. So I like putting in my little bit, even if it's just trying to get better at it for a bigger project."

"I might, I might not. Depends on how I like things. I work in several mediums, from paints to digital to pastels." They tilted their head, thoughtful, before turning to another page of the sketchbook to show a piece. "This is one of my charcoals."

Caius studied the charcoal image in silence, studying it analyutically before a smile crossed his face. While no expert, he did know what he likerd, and he liked this person's images already, the smiule on his face a tell.
"That's quite good. I'd dare say if you ever drew a Tarot card deck I'd buiy a copy!" He admitted. "Though I fear I'm no art expert.I merely know what I like."

They laughed, nodding. "I've been thinking about it. Based off of some of the shows and games I enjoy." They rubbed the back of their neck, smiling sheepishly. "I'm a big enough nerd to. Or maybe Dungeons and Dragons stuff."

Caius blinked, considering thoughtfully before looking to her with a calm exoression, sighing. "I'm afraud U know nothung oif Dungeons and Dragons, but, based onthe name alone it would certainly look attractive and appeal to a certain market. Everyone deserves a deck they synchronize with; and if making your own serves, then I believe you ought chase the idea whole heartedly." The man sipped his tea, thinking a moment before smiling. "If that's the type of deck you dream of making, do it. Chase the dream to completion, and you will find satisfaction; possibly even spiritual fulfillment. So you've no reason tyo be shy about it, especially not with me."

Tor perked when he said he knew nothing. Nodding, they flipped to another page of the sketchpad. "Whether it ends up being mine or someone else's, I do want to make it. As for Dungeons and Dragons...I have to ask. Do you like imagining grand stories, sweeping myths, dashing fairy tales? Or fantasy video games?"

Caois cpmsodered his answer thoughtfillu, rubbing his chin before finding the words to say what he needed. "In truth, it's never occured to me. I didn't get much opportunity to do thus as a teenager or so, so I can't say as I have." He lived an adventure anyway -- he was a knight of Saturn after all.
