Caius sipped his tea, and shut his eyes, foot tapping tothe melody playing before him with a faint smile. He'd gone out to purchase a resupply of incenses and tea for the housde, and the melody playing won a warm response from the quiet man. He kept his toe tapping the the street performer continued, smiling brightly as they continued, beaming brightly at the crowd as tips filled their jar. Although he'd purchased what he left to buy, he still had coin left, and placed a few quarters in the jar before swaying his hips to the usic absently, humming.

It was such a liverly, upbeat song that he couldn't help himself dancing just a little, and the man with peach fuzz stubble and shaggy hair smiled, losing himself in the music. He swayed mostly, not one to dance often, but soon his feet were moving and he was humming until thje song ended and the man beamed atthe performer as theylooked for requests. Caius considered, silent a** several songs were called out, and silent as one was chosen.

Admittedly, the next song was less to Caius' tastes, but he was never one to refuse the allure of live performances -- he recalled an incident as a younger man visiting Portland and seeing Darth Vader on a Unicycle -- not his taste but assuredly glorious showmanship regardless, and he wasn't avoiding it now. He was merely plased Destiny City had it's own form of Mad Hat Tea Company to help him relax and enjoy a quiet tea... Or take one on the road with him. It was such a lovely accompaniment to a show, and he only wished his lady appeared tyo renjoy it with him. Alas, So Sheen had her own errands and works, and the man hummed, watching the gathered crowd laugh, dance, smile.

It made him homesick, but he could never goi home. Nobody would know who he was, or recognize him now, and he only hoped his family was okay qwith his disappearance... But he knew they weren't. The thought was a dour one, and he frowned thoughtfully, sighing. He wondered if he ought to leave Destiny City, and take his So Sheen with him, but she was happy here. And he, as her companion and knight, was in no place to make her leave. For another, grimmer thought -- where would he go? What would he do if he did take her away? No other city he studied seemed to have as much unusual activity, Destiny City was the only place he fit now.

It was sombering. It was grim and cold and unpleasant, and his fingers trembled as he held his cup, and he looked down into his tea before taking a quiet, anxious sip as he tried calming himself.

Destiny City was both terrifying and soothing, and he didn't know if he could handle himself thinking this way, and quietly he buried it as he closed his eyes, feeling the wortld around him out before looking skywards and exhaling softly. He needed to calm himself again -- working himself up so was no benefit to anyone, and quietly he looked down, sipping his tea to calm himself as he refocused on the show. The musician was looking around for more songs, and then looked to the man, finally calling out.

"Play something confusing, perhaps?" He offered. The musician laughed, but raised his guitar, and the man's fingers began to dance over the strings, and Caius smiled faintly. He always did appreciate a good performancem and fed the remainder of his coins into the tip jar with a smile. Maybe somethings didn't change. Maybe that was okay. And maybe, just maybe, he was okay.
