With his father agreeing to pay for a place, much to his surprise, it was time for him and Caleb to go looking. He would have asked Caleb but at this point Caleb wasn’t living with him, just spending time in his room, so the choice was really his and Caleb’s to make.
He’d let Caleb handle an agent to work through, since they needed someone, but he’d already told Caleb to tell the agent not to consider price. If price came up it would be at the end with his father. As far as he’d been told it wasn’t an issue. Now it was just time to meet up and see what was on offer. They needed three bedrooms, at least, as well as all the basic, normal, rooms. He’d prefer four bathrooms, one for each bedroom plus a universal one for guests and such. It was preference of his though - not a deal breaker. Now he needed to see what Caleb wanted and what the agent had.
Approaching the real estate office, he’d taken the train to get here, Xi-Wang could feel his nerves kicking in. Pulling the door open he stepped inside, feeling even more uncomfortable as people looked at him. He’d gone with better clothing - unusual clothing for him. He had gone out clothing shopping, his sister on the phone to help him, as he’d tried to get things he’d normally never wear just so he could look more professional for this meeting.

Caleb had cleaned up. His hair was clean, still long, but styled so that it looked as though it was meant to be long. The dark circles that had been under his eyes were receding and he looked as though he had managed to eat and keep down a few square meals.
He was waiting outside of the real estate office and waved at Xi when he came into view. “Hey! I think there’s a really good one that the agent found. It’s right downtown, a new high-rise. The penthouse condo. The pictures look amazing, and nobody else has lived in it before. He said that he can take us on a tour of it if we want. It’s got four bedrooms, four bathrooms and three living areas, as well as a gourmet kitchen, laundry room…honestly, it fits everything we could want. And we’d be up on the fifteenth floor, so the views would be amazing, I think.”
There was almost excitement in his voice and he gave a sudden grin. “…Honestly, I kind of want this place, and I hope you do too, so long as the pictures are actually what we’re getting.”
It was the complete opposite of what he had been going to live in. And that was good.
That was just what he needed.

Happy to see Caleb - he looked better, Xi went to lay a hand on the others shoulder. "If you say it's good we should see it then. It sounds like it has everything." It meant they could do laundry inside, without going to some place to do it, and that much for living space...for living rooms. That sounded like a lot but it also sounded good. They could do something different in each room. "I like the sound of the kitchen and bedroom and bathroom count is perfect." He liked what the other was saying so far, it did sound good. Now to see it for himself.
"If you're that excited for it then we need to see it as soon as we can. And no ones lived there...so we can leave our marks on the place first." Him, Caleb, and hopefully Gabriel. He could invite his sister as well. It would grow and become their home - what they wanted it to be. Caleb would hopefully find happiness with someone and could move them in as well.
"The bedrooms are good - size wise? I don't want anyone with too small of a room. I mean if you want a large bed and find someone ever." He really did hope Caleb found someone and could be happy. It was a nice idea.
"We'll have a lot to decorate to. I hope you're up for the task." He wanted to do this. To make a home and to work on it with Caleb and Gabriel and make it home for them. He wanted to pump[ things up right now and make Caleb excited - to see the old him again. To see him excited and energetic about something. It was good to see Caleb lively and looking so much better.
It had to stay - Caleb needed to stay this happy and healthy.

Caleb nodded, giving a little smile. “Yeah, they seem large, but, we’ll see for ourselves. He’ll take us as soon as he comes out, I’m…” He ran his fingers through his hair. “I’m really excited. I have a very good feeling about this place.”
He waited for a moment and then the realtor came out of the office, nodding at the two young men before gesturing for them to get into his car.
The trip to the building took only ten minutes, and it was an impressive place. Caleb was almost dancing as they rode the elevator up to the top floor, and when the realtor opened the door to the condo, his eyes were bright with excitement.
“Oh, damn!”
It was even better than he could have expected. There was so much room, and so much light. And so much could be done with the place to really make it home, he could see the possibilities. Laughing, he grabbed Xi’s hand and began walking through, leaving the realtor near the door, wanting to explore the place alone, without someone trying to sell it to him.
In his mind, he was pretty much already sold anyway.

He had a good feeling as well, mostly because he trusted Caleb's taste. He'd lived with him and knew his taste. He wouldn't settle for something less than acceptable, and considering what was acceptable to him. He just hoped Gabriel would be ok with this, he was going to let him know soon, he had to tell him and as he waited the real eastate agent to get them to the home, as he sat in the car, he sent a long series of texts to his boyfriend. They needed to talk...he was going apartment hunting with a friend - his ex. The man had fallen on hard time, had lost their partner, and had been living in a hotel. He tried to explain it all while mentioning, several times, that they needed to go out and discuss it properly - together over dinner.
He made sure to tell Gabriel that there was nothing between him and his ex - there couldn't be. It was his nighttime job, code for being a dark mirror senshi, which had killed the relationship and turned it into a nightmare. But he wanted to help him now...no one should fall on such hard times and suffer such sadness and loss. He wanted to help and to have a friend, he already had a boyfriend after all and he loved Gabriel very much.
With all the messages sent, all before they arrived at the apartment, he was ready to explore - and he did. Caleb dragged him around to see the place and he was left staring in awe. "It is better than you told me. I'll talk to my father - we'll make it work." It had a big enough bedroom for him and Gabriel and Caleb would have a large room as well. Ohhh! and if his sister came to visit she could have her own room and fill it with things...to make it a permanent room for when she visited. It would be lovely.
"Decorating is going to be a task - it's huge." Looking around at the open space around them he wondered if they could ever fill it all...it was just so much space.
"I can ask Gabriel to help, since I'm going to ask him to move in. And wee can make a trip of it - shopping to fill this place with our personalities and make it work." A melting pot of an apartment.

Caleb looked utterly excited and nodded. “Yeah, please. I can’t wait to meet him, Gabriel, I mean.” He was still a little jealous, and maybe even a little hurt, but…it was okay. Xi was happy, and that was what really mattered. Besides. He wasn’t sure he wanted to get into another relationship right now anyway.
It was just the idea of being wanted that had appealed to him.
“Decorating it is going to be fun! We’ll have to invite your boyfriend over soon so we can do this together. All of it. It’ll be a great bonding experience.” And if they were all going to be roommates…bonding would be a good thing. And if Xi had someone home…Caleb wouldn’t have to feel guilty about going out and kicking a**. He wouldn’t have to worry about getting noticed if he were hurt.
He wouldn’t have to worry about any of that nonsense.
“I’m going to go out on a limb and say this is the place for us?”

"Yeah, this I think is the place. I've been texting Gabriel. So we just need to secure this place and we can all arrange shopping trips. We can move in what I have and what you have...and we'll start making this into a home." A very large home. He still didn't think they'd ever manage to fill the place - it was just that big to him.
"I think we can make it work...to fit all of our personalities and our individual taste." That was what worried him but with the size it might be easier. It might give room for everyone to fit bits of them self into every room. He wanted to see the place a mix of all three of them, and perhaps eventually his sister as well. He was sure if, or rather when, she visited she would bring things and leave things behind and it would gain some little hints of her as well.
He couldn't wait and he was excited - so excited. "What do we do now? I mean I have to contact my father, of course, but I don't know a thing about all this paperwork and such." He was so lost when it came to these things. He'd never had to know. He'd still never even gone through getting a car for himself, it wasn't a need in the city - public transport.

Caleb grinned, looking as though all of his dreams had suddenly all come true at once. “Leave the paperwork to me, and the down payment. I’ve got more than enough from the sale of my cabin…” He swallowed and there was a flash of pain in his eyes for a moment, but it was quickly smothered. “Now, we just tell the realtor that we’re interested, you get a hold of your father and we get together with Gabriel and let him know our move in date!”
After that, it was simply a matter of getting things for the house. Picking out furniture. Picking out decorations. Getting this spacious area to become more of a home rather than an empty shell.
“If you want, Xi, you can call Gabriel, maybe see if he wants to come see this place soon? Then we can all go shopping for decorations and start making this place a home? I really want to meet him too, so this is me be utterly selfish.”
After all, they were going to be family.

"I can handle the money end...I just...paperwork." He didn't quite throw up his hands but he might as well of, the shrug was close enough, and when combined with the hopeless sort of look he gave the other it was obvious. He was clueless with the paperwork and needed someone to handle that for him. "If you want....the money you have....if you really want to use it. Then maybe furniture and needs for inside of here?" It would mean less money for the other to spend and he didn't want to ask, or expect, someone to lay out a load of money. It was his idea, even if it was for them both as well as Gabriel. It was still his initial idea.
"Father first...then Gabriel. So you can get on with the paperwork?" He asked, a slightly questioning look in his dark eyes. Already he was pulling out his phone and looking up his fathers number. He knew his father would answer, regardless of the time, but he knew the time difference was great. His poor father.
"I think that would be nice. You can also meet Baozi soon. I have a feeling he'll like having a larger home." His cat would love it, though he might be lonely, he did remember Caleb mentioning that he might get a pet as well. So that loneliness wouldn't last long he was sure. "I'll call Gabriel right after my father." Nodding his head, as if speaking more to himself, he hit the call button. For a moment, as the phone rang, he wondered if he'd ever really spoken much Chinese around Caleb in the past. Maybe....
But with his father it was all he spoke, even though he knew his father spoke English. It just meant a lot to him to use what was even his own native language, and to better himself at it.

It took all of his willpower for Caleb not to snort and he nodded, though his eyes sparkled with mischief. “All right, all right! I get it, then I’ll do the paperwork and handle all of the furnishing. That seems like a somewhat fair deal.” He looked gleeful for a moment and watched as Xi went to call his father, his face lighting up with the idea of meeting the cat. He would have to get his own soon too. He wanted one. A friendly one. Who liked to cuddle.
Yeah. That sounded like the best solution to any problem that involved loneliness.
The only issue that he could see now was Gabriel. If the other male didn’t like him…that would…be a disaster. Perhaps he should have met Xi’s boyfriend first before they jumped headlong into buying this wonderful place but…
But damn, it all sounded so good. And if Gabriel didn’t like him…well. There would be enough space for them to not have to see much of each other…and if he liked Xi, Caleb figured he had to be at least a somewhat decent person.
“This is going to be great.”
