Frowning deeply she looked out of the scorched land as her back itched. She had't recovered from her last encounter that long ago. Misty was not looking forward to another chance in that place. It had been one of the worst experiences Misty had gone through. And then there was the lizard that had insulted her while she had hid against the sun that one half a day. Shaking her head, Misty turned away from the barrens, thinking that she was just going to walk away.

Something else stopped her as she looked back at the barrens. Head lowering in malcontent at the very thought of entering the barrens just to visit a tree. Ears flicking back her head snapped up and to one side she looked skywards and shouting, "FINE!", the 'f' elongated.

With a low rumble of what could only be muttering under her breath she stepped away from Homewood and out into the barrens for the journey. Her tail flicked slightly from side to side as she went, the heat already getting to her as she went. Misty wasn't ever in any hurry to get to this tree, seeings she had to enter one of the most rudest of areas. Finally making it to the plateau where the Grandfather Tree sat.

Standing at its roots, Misty gave a glare up at the white mass of ancient wood. "This is what everyone travels out to?" She didn't seem the most impressed with the tree as it just sat there. "Fine, if I plan to try and return home, I suppose I have to deal with the uncomfortable." She glanced away. "Alright, lay it on me," her tone not the most happy, but has given into the idea of accepting her fate.

A still quiet passes over the plateau. Hushed silence that is almost deafening. Grandfather tree's roots seem to shift and reach out as Misty approaches.

Choose one of the following prompts for Misty's dream vision.

Quote:
An old doe is about to pass into the next life, but she has amassed a collection of wayfinder stones to help her seek out new life in the barrens. She asks every young noul to tell her a story of their greatest accomplishment in order to earn one of her stones.
What do you do?

Quote:
You have been travelling the barrens for days without sign of food or water. You are on your last legs when you finally spot something green in the distance. Is it a mirage? Or is it real? Do you risk going further to chase the green or do you take the safe route and return home?

You are in Blackbriar Bog. Through the murky swamp water you spot something unusual sitting in the silt. The water is dangerous and you don’t know how deep it goes, but you’ve never seen this thing before.
What do you do?

The arid landscape melted away as her hooves splashed back into the muck of the Blackbriar Bog. For a moment Misty stood there, wondering just what the heck had happened. At first she was staring at the white mass of wood. Wondering just what was so special about it, besides its height and apparent magic as the ground around it wasn't the same bleak and sun baked dirt. Now shivers ran up her legs to her shoulders and down her back to out her tail. How? When? WHAT!? How did she end up back here? Hadn't see just escaped from this forsaken land?

"What!? How the heck?" She shouted into the nothing as she looked around, taking careful steps through the brackish water as she tried to make sense of everything.

She could only wonder of the tree was playing a nasty prank on her because of her mood. Or was this supposed to happen. Either way, she was not in the least bit pleased to be back at step one. Grumbling to herself, she nearly missed something that glinted in the sunlight. Well, what sunlight breached the cloud cover over head. That wasn't there before...

"Where the heck did that come from? I don't remember that from before I lift." Misty muttered as she sloshed through the silt filled water, kicking up more with each step.

She really didn't like being back at this place. Misty stopped a moment as she looked around, ears flicking slightly as she listened to the bubbling waters around her before moving on. Leaping up a bit she got out of the water before anything that attempted to latch onto her. She knew this place and she didn't like it, anymore. Just the thought of something crawling on her made her own skin crawl and she had to shake the feeling away.

"Ew, this place seems to only get worse and worse." she said kicking a bit of what she could only think of as creeper vines. Seemed to be the only thing out this far.

Misty moved closer to whatever it was hopping from small moss covered mound to moss covered mound. Soon she was close to the object she looked down at it as it sat just under the water's surface. It was strange, almost metallic, but she could never have any understanding of what it was. Squinting she peered closer to have the murky water flow over it and cloud her sight.

"Ack! This is going to give me a headache." she says as she splashed at the water trying to pull whatever the metallic item was to the surface. In the end she moved more muck trying to clear the water to see whatever it was... In the end probably covering it. She did inwardly wish she had a way to clear everything out...

Glancing around the water where she had seen the object, it was now fully covered with silt. She just needed something to try and push the silt water out and try and get cleaner water in. Well the best thing she knew was the moss she stood on, Taking a mouthful, she dropped the large chunk into the water to try and filter it. Just... It left a nasty taste in her mouth doing so.
