 Uzoma had been on his own as far as he could remember. It wasn't a bad life. It was a nomadic existence, which was fine, as the island provided more than enough to eat and drink wherever he went. As he had matured, however, his thoughts turned to his legacy. Did he want to remain solitary forever, and when he passed from this plane have no record of his deeds, no memory of himself? The thought enraged him.
So he sought to create a new clan. But to do that he needed to find a woman, a female worthy to be his queen, his Empress. She must be passionate and fierce, devoted to him, and, above all, his partner in creating this new thing. But where might he find such a woman?
He knew that Emperor Jahleel had many women in his clan, but Uzoma was not interested in secondhand females. Jahleel could keep his harem. Word had reached him that there were other clans forming as well. He'd need to act fast before those aspiring Emperors snapped up all the available females.
Uzoma roamed the island, searching for signs and scents of both harpies--to fight, kill, and take trophies from--and naga--to impress and win to his clan.

No matter how powerful you are, how ambitious or how mailbilue the Emperorer was, there is only so much you could take. Takshaka was fine enough for a while but Kalipetra was becoming more than she could tolerate.
The empty hood was getting ideas and a touch too much attitude for her liking. More of that stress and she'd start to dull. Now THAT was intolerable. With a hissing sigh, she kept traveling looking for something to take some frustration out on. A nice harpy dinner would be lovely. Whole harpy eggs certainly would make a lovely snack.
Her plans suddenly shifted as she caught the scent of another Naga. Irritation melted into tense hunteress mode. She earned all her trophies, anyone who thinks her weak would learn why.
More of an active hunter rather than a hide and ambush, Mystic boldy confronted the stranger. The first observation became her greeting, "You don't taste of the taint, where is your clan?" Was there another clan out there besides the two here? Did they have an Empress that needed removing?

Uzoma, too, had smelled the other naga nearby. His body tensed and his tail coiled, ready for a fight with a rival male. Had he stumbled upon someone else's territory? He thought he knew where not to intrude. He wasn't looking to fight today. But if it came to a fight, he would win.
Imagine his surprise when this creature of immense beauty and power appeared. He was momentarily stunned. Raven hair, intense eyes, and all those trophies! And that coloring--he wondered with a boyish grin if she were venomous. Wouldn't that be a treat?
"I have no clan," he responded to her question. "Yet. As it happens I intend to establish one." He crossed his arms over his chest. He didn't want her to think he had no prospects. "You have many trophies. Surely you must be an Empress." Uzoma raised an eyebrow as he waited for her response.

Taking in his form, she evaluated everything from his coloring to his form. He held himself up pretty well. Ambitious, but would that amount to anything? The bar has been lowered so much that just begin able to string a few words together was impressive. Hmm,
.
Confidently, she approached him to get a better look. Faith in her own proven skill gave no room for fear. He wasn't as bulky as Takshaka, that would come in time. If he had the power to back up his goals.
"Really now? I would like to see if you can make that ambition happen." Her lips turned up as a smile started form. Sure, he didn't have a clan, hood or trophies of his own, but that could come in time. Any naga could become an emperor. Panzer clan proved that one with the empty hood of a fool.
Where he is now was of no matter, it was the strength to get there that did. "Hardly, I have yet to find an Emperor worthy of me as his Empress." Takshaka wasn't and with him as any indication his own original clan was too scrambled to make that effort worth it.
Cocking her head to the side, she silently asked him if he was worth the trouble.

Uzoma couldn't believe his luck, stumbling on a fierce, confident, powerful female in the middle of nowhere. Some strategy would be required to make her his, however: it was clear she was not to be trifled with. He drew himself up a little, but subtly. This wasn't a display or a boast; he simply wanted to appear straighter and more confident.
"You are wise to be so discerning. There are many fools that think that a mighty arm is the only weapon. Others have strategy but no might. True strength comes from having both--and a shrewd and cunning partner." He gestured openly toward the female.EvilSilverDragon Sorry for the late post! This one got lost somehow lol

The way he talked, one would think he has met Takshaka. That idiot has brute strength and those intriguing iron scales. That was it, nothing up top to strategize with. She took a deep breath, letting it out in a slow but deliberate manner.
Her frustration was starting to boil just thinking of the Empty Hood. It wouldn't do to let that influence this meeting, for better or for worse.
"I have known powerful fools." Very powerfully stupid. "I am looking for a worthy partner, an equal." Her emphases fell on that last word. Anything less than an equal wasn't worth her time. She'd always be better, but if she was going to abandon the empty hood there had to be more in it.
Was this male all talk or was there something behind his impressive demeanor?

Uzoma wasn't often disarmed, but he momentarily dropped his guard and a genuine smile slipped onto his face. An equal partner was just what he was looking for!
He composed himself and put his hands on his hips. The gesture was meant to communicate strength and yet openness. He contemplated his next move. On the one hand, he didn't want to seem overeager or green to this impressive female. On the other hand, he didn't want to come off as disinterested and lose her.
"An Emperor and Empress working as equals will make a powerful clan indeed." He met her eyes with direct, honest expression. "How can I make it worth your while to join me?"

He liked that word, Emperor. While talking a good game she wasn't sold on it. Talk was easy, after all.
She regarded him, eyes slightly narrowed. Calculating her answer, weighing current options against the futures. Continuing on the path she was on or go for a more..active option."Well, you can show me what you are capable of." It remained to be seen if he was really a worthy partner or just a smooth talker.
Mystic wasn't fool enough to just go for flashy and strong words. It might not be today or tomorrow, but she was patient enough to watch what he could do. He'd have to earn his own hood, after all.
