Post your RENT moments here. I have them all the time at school.
Me: *hums RENT songs while digging in my locker. I walk away and relize I forgot something.* My friend next door: What'd you forget? Me: Got a light? Friend: Huh? Me: It's nothing. They turned off my heat and I'm just a little weak on my feet. Would you light my candle? What are you staring at? Friend: eek Do you need to sit down? My girlfriend: She's reciting RENT again. Honey, you're scaring him. Come on. We need to go talk to the man about how much it is to rent our hotel room on the band trip. Me: We're not gonna paaaaaaaaaaay! Girlfriend: Doh! stressed

Oh! This'll be fun! I have a few...
I was walking to lunch, and I see a group of my friends walking ahead of me, I run to cacth up with them, and I realise they are singing, Today 4 you. So, I join in...
Ryan Juilanna, and Hannah: ...but sure as I am here that dog is now in doggy hell, after an hour, Evita, in all her glory, on the window cill of that twenty-third story, just like Thelma and Louise did when they got the blues, * I run up behind them and join in* Swan dove in to the courtyard of the gracy muse.
Hannah: Holy s**t. Don't do that! I heard another voice join in, XD
-- And the other day in Science, We were working in groups, and me and my one friend...who's now my girlfriend, often quote Joanne and Maureen moments, our favorite quote is, 'There will always be women in rubber flirting with me'. So, she almost screamed that out right as the teacher walked by our desks. DX It was so funny, I acted like I didn't know her..XD

A conversation about ice cream.
my dad came home one day saying "we got ice cream without you. Take it or leave it!" It was my fave kind, mint choclate chip, but it was also overflowing and melting. So, he warned me "careful, it's dripping" "I like it-" I stopped myself at risk of sounding perverted, and just ate the ice cream. I could not finish it, so I started to pack it up, and my stepmom said, "Okay you can fnish it another day"

my class went to see West Side Story and one of the lines is "Your hands are cold... Yours too"
Me and my friend FLIPPED OUT!!
Then another time in Spanish class, the teacher was like, how do you say, "TO DANCE!!" so of course, anybody who had seen RENT, screamed out the rest of the words while everybody else stared at us and asked what the hell was wrong with us.
And on the street walking to the library I saw somebody scream at his boss (I'm assuming, I need to finish it!!! I QUIT!!" And then I walked away, forgetting that I was in the middle of town, belting out What You Own

Okay, all the bolded stuff is from my MySpace blog.
RENT! You are running my life.
At school today, yeah? At lunch. Brandon Vogel said "Where is she?" and Nathan and I both said "Gettin' dizzy." like that one part of the song Rent.
MARK: Where is he? COLLINS: Gettin' dizzy.
That part. Yeah. AND DUDE WTF HE SAID IT EXACTLY LIKE MARK DID!
Then later on in language arts, we were reading this part of a worksheet that started off as "it's a comfort to know". Nathan and I started laughing and could not stop, because of the song SANTA FE FROM RENT DUDEOMG.
ANGEL: It's a comfort to know when you're singing the hit the road blues that anywhere else you could possibly go after New York would be a pleasure cruise.
AND THE TEACHER SAID IT EXACTLY LIKE ANGEL!!
Is it a coincidence that I have my mp3 player on randomize right now, and the first song that played was Rent, and the second one was Santa Fe?
Then yesterday Karen and I got these weird chocolate covered Tootsie Rolls from Walgreen's, and we were talking about like, omggg it's chocolate covered in chocolate covered in chocolate covered in white chocolate covered in chocolate covered in dark chocolate chocolate chocolate. Then Karen says, "It's like, the white chocolate is Angel and the dark chocolate is Collins!" Then I say, "The dark chocolate covers the white chocolate. Now I know what they meant in the song I'll Cover You."
*spazzes* Just kill my social life, RENT.
And of course, since then, about a million things a day are RENT-related to me.
For example, in science today, I was like "OH s**t! I forgot...", and I stopped talking to look for what I was missing. The guy I sit next to, who of course has never seen RENT, asked, "What'd you forget?" and obviously, I immediatly yelled out "Got a light?"

I was at work one day. Standing there thinking about god who knows what when I hear someone start lighting candles because of a storm. Lol I just start humming to myself "Will you light my candle." Then I get customers and I am still in my own little rent world as I check them out.

Not ten minutes ago, my brother and dad decided it was "bug Ducky day" and they came chargin into my room. I was in the middle of puching my brother out of the door, when I started singing "another time, another place..." and he looked at me weird, and then that part of Another Day started playing on my computer! I had left it playing while I was fighting with them! It was crazy... but I guess you kind of had to be there.

The most common reply when my frend and I are together...
Random person: Hey, where is {some person} Me: Oh, she died. Sam: Her name was April Me: It's out again Sam: Sorry bout your friend...
That's where the person gives us the weirdest look and we both giggle like idiots. Yet another moment:
Teacher: It costs {some amount} for {school related thing}. Bring it in.
As soon as I'm out of the classroom: Me: I'm not gonna pay CLASSROOM RENT! (*friend slaps me and tells me to shut up*)
My friend and I also have a weird relationship (friend form senario 1), since we're both bi and make fun of eachother. So our favorite thing to say when one of us is mad at the other: "Oh baby don't be like that. There will always be women in rubber flirting with me. Just remeber that you're my baby....*insert take me or leave me singing here*"

Oh god I have so many of these...
Of course I think everyone has the "What'd you forget, got a light." But here goes:
So I'm a choir nerd and here I am standing in the Soprano section (which is what I am) and my teacher says something like "If we want to win this competition we have to go out in a blaze of glory" So I look to my right to the bass section which is where my boyfriend is and to the tenors which is where my friend Paul is and we all mouth "Glory! One blaze of glory!" and there's this girl who stands next to me and she just stared like "Wow..what a loser."
English class today:
We were taking a quiz and the period ended so the bell rang and this girl goes "Wow that went by fast" and my teacher says "Time flies." So I go "Time dies." and of course no one in there knows what I'm talking about.
In my school play:
When I first got my script I saw that I have the line "Wow.."at one point and it just reminded me so much of Mimi after 'Take me or Leave me' when Maureen's mother says "Now maybe you two can get back together" and Mimi says "Wow.." So I look forward to that line everytime we do the play just so I can say it just like her.
Cast party:
Everyone had been saying how worried they were about going to the cast party with me because we reserved our own room in the back of a resturant with lots of tables. So as I'm getting ready to leave:
Megan: Hey Kerri, (thats me) La Vie Boheme? Me: Yess!!! So Megan and a few other people stand up and I start singing "Dearly beloved..." and then lean back hoping that they will hold me up but then the waitress came out so I couldn't do it. Damn waitress....
Yesterday:
Some of the kids in the drama club came over and we all hung out at my house before we had to get on the bus. So we walked back to school and cut through the cafeteria. Lots of empty tables....no one around... I hand Megan my digital camera and jump up on the table. "To day of inspiration, playing hookey, making something out of nothing....." Dancing on tables is fun.
A few days ago:
Rob (My boyfriend): Your hands are cold. Me: Yours too. Rob: Are they big like your fathers? Me: Do you wanna dance? Rob: With you? Me: No with my father.
Once:
I'm driving down the street with my friends Amanda and Michaela and something is happening on the street and Amanda goes "Well, your living in America." so I scream out the window "YOUR WHAT YOU OWN!!"
In choir this morning:
Nicole: Where's everyone else? Me: Playing spiderman. XD Nicole: What? Tony: She's doing her Rent thing again.. Nicole: Oh... ~
I went to get food with my boyfriend the other day and I decided to be really rude while he was talking and much really loud on my food and he said "You can take the girl out of hicksville but you can't take the hicksville out of the girl."
~ My alarm beep was loud one morning on my clock and my mom said "That was a very loud beep" So I continued. ~ One more!
I was walking down the hallway and someone walked into my and said "Sorry" so I said "Excuse me" as I looked behind me and while I wasn't paying attention someone walked into me and said "Oops."
(Incase you don't get that one it's like life support in OBC)
I'm pathetic sometimes.

that's poetic, thats pathetic. haa.
my firned and my greeting to each other usually somehow includes the prase "'ello love!" as a takeoff on a wierd thing we saw once.. okay back to she story. so, unawares of the connection to RENT, she decides to make it the end of our onlione convo as well, saying "g'bye, love!" I automatically typed "hello.. disease" -- theres a girl named Michelle that I know, who looks EXCACLY like a younger Mimi. Now you think about it, a nickname for Michelle is Mimi. She was doing her spanish homework. And it was cold in the room, so she shook out her hands, and my friend sypathetically said "cold hands?" Me, "yours, too." -- at a family dinner, talking about collage dorm life, the food.
stepmom: we had micorwaves, but they didnt work too well. baked potatoes were a favorite. dad: you had micorwaves? we only had hotplates. me: just dont leave it on, dear, when you leave the house dad: -gives wierd look- -- we were pointing out people not in our grade that we knew Liz: hey look, there's Alison me: muffy! Liz: Alison me: pulling benny out of the east village location... Liz: rolleyes -- random person: I'm shivering me: we can buy some wood, and something to eat -- Steph: where are they? me: -recites the rest of Happy new year- -- teacher: so that was number 19 me: but i'm old for my age! Liz: -swats me- teacher: stare -- teacher: and the answer is... another student: 14 me: 25! ^from christmas bells^ -- Liz: APRIL FOOLS! me: what does Roger have to do with this? -- teacher: and observer, observes, the teacher teaches... me: the ear hears, the lung breaths, the mind churns... teacher: is that part of your essay? stare -- friend: poor baby! me: Mimi still loves Roger, is roger reall jealous? friend: no more. Oh, no... me: i've got to go -- tons of little stuff like that... I'm sure i'll think of more eventually.

I'm constantly having Rent moments, sadly they all sort of resemble each other so it's hard to post them individually. However, I can talk about the time that my friend Jillian and I sang Rent songs all afternoon. La Vie Boheme on the way to KFC, Tango Maureen when we got back, Leap of Faith just to fool around, and Take Me or Leave Me because she likes that one.
