To say that there was a chill in the air was an understatement, but Hesperith was willing to brave it. Not for her bath, no, as during the winter they had taken to flitting somewhere warmer on restdays to attend to such matters in an agreeable climate whenever possible. Much as she enjoyed a warm and scenic beach, however, it was a little too quiet for her tastes.

The gold wanted the company of other dragons, especially considering she was freshly scrubbed and oiled. And what was the point if there was no one around but Hers to see? So they'd returned to the Weyr just in time for lunch, and Hesperith settled herself near the lake posed just so, waiting for company she was sure would present itself.
