It wasn't very often that Izobel lost her temper around her parents but usually when it did happen the teen was more than able to cope with the release of tension by taking a simple trip around the city as her powered self. Ever since she had been upgraded she had been keeping a low profile amongst those of her own ranks. Something was weighing on the senshi's mind and she wondered if there were others out there that would try and persuade her against the course she had decided that she was willing to take. The fact of the matter was that Lacerta wasn't sure she was ready for some sort of White Moon intervention and that's why she was lying low now. Although lying low technically wasn't what she found herself doing.

Lying low didn't mean being perched in a tree - waiting for some possible unsuspecting Dark Moon senshi to maybe, just maybe pop out of the mirror she'd once seen before. It was unfortunately a waiting game for now but Lacerta was patient. If nothing happened tonight well the stakeout could always be continued another night. For now she just wanted to try and get a different point of view from someone that wasn't Acubens. It wasn't a slight against her friend at all but Lacerta still felt guilty for thinking it. Would this work though was the question still circling in her mind.

Jason had a lot going on at the moment. Wedding plans, school was in't it's final semester before graduation, work was piling up, and he just wanted to get away from it all. As much as he loved Nischal, he just wanted to pretend that Crocus was all that existed for a moment. It had been a while since he powered up. Mirrorspace needed energy and he had been neglecting his duties, with good reason he told himself.

When he came out the other side of a mirror into the park he froze, stunned for a moment. He stiffened a bit since his last encounter with an Order Senshi had not been a pleasant one, but when he looked up he saw what he thought was a very familiar face. A cat somewhere had seen it fitting to pass along more power to her. He already knew she was friends with Acubens, but he couldn't exactly reveal how he knew that. He couldn't reveal himself as Jason.

"You gave me quite the start up there dear, not everyone has had great experiences with the White Moon." He maintained a decently healthy relationship with one himself, and most others were hit and miss. "Why do I get the feeling you knew this was here and needed to talk to someone?" Acubens had probably shown her this place, or maybe she had even more friends in the Dark Mirror Court now, it had been a while since he had seen her last.

The fact of the matter was Lacerta was just as surprised to find that the idea she'd had actually seemed to pay off dividends. Although to have someone that seemed to be on the same rank be the one she posed questions to was interesting. The cape around her neck fluttered briefly before she made the leap to exit out of the tree. Her target was correct about one thing - she had known that the mirror was here. Acubens had once shown her and even then she had memorized the location.

Having landed with a few feet distance between herself at the dark moon senshi Lacerta took a step back before grinning a little bit.
"I am sorry if I gave you a bit of a shock. I wasn't quite all that sure this idea would pan out. First things though - I'm not here to fight. I wanted another viewpoint if you'd be happy to oblige my curiosity. And if you choose to leave then that is alright as well. I'm not going to stop you."

As Lacerta finished speaking she relaxed her posture to show her seriousness about not wanting to fight. She even backed up a few more paces so that if the senshi wanted to, he could leave. She wasn't forcing anyone to answer questions ... she wanted answers from willing sources.

Honestly, if he hadn't recognized her, he probably would have popped back into his mirror and just gone back home. He wasn't having much luck with the White Moon lately. He wouldn't have attacked her though, just avoided whoever it was. That was his new mission when it came to interacting with people from other factions. His own court was a nice and calm place, just getting by without the stress of saving the world or ending it.

It was refreshing to meet someone who wanted to talk with him for a change. He gave her a very warm smile and extended his hand. "I'm Crocus, I'd be more than happy to help with you curiosity."

This was a pleasant surprise. Even though she knew that Acubens had not run off on their first meeting she still expected it of others. Was it because she'd only been a basic senshi when she ran into the Velociraptor senshi that there was no need to run or was Acubens really that friendly to all new senshi that she encountered. Shaking off thoughts of her friend she took stepped forward and took Crocus' extended hand as the gesture she believed it to imply and shook it gently. Her eyes took in the other's appearance before she cleared her throat. "It's nice to meet you Crocus. Names Lacerta. I just wanted to say first of all: thanks for not running away. I wasn't sure if you were going to leave or not. I just wanted to get your take on how you feel about the Dark Moon way of life. Do you like being a Dark Moon senshi? Is it true that your faction doesn't want to fight?"

Before she talked the senshi's ear off Lacerta paused in her questions to allow Crocus the time to answer. There was another question she wanted to ask but she kept it to herself for the moment. That would come later. For now she wanted to hear about Crocus' view on the Dark Mirror way of life. She wasn't sure what she'd expect to hear but she was hoping for something that she could take away from this meeting - whether it be good or bad.

Lacerta was certainly a very nice girl. He could see why Acubens would be fond of her. He laughed just a bit when she thanked him for not running away. It was a habit of the Dark Mirror Court to typically avoid confrontations with those in other factions. Neither the White Moon or Negaverse particularly cared for them much.

"Of course, I'm always up for some lively conversation." While he certainly never sought out Order signatures, that didn't mean he ran away from them either. Unless, they came charging at him at an alarming rate. If he ignored his last couple of encounters, typically he'd always try to have a good chat if he found himself in Order company.

"Personally? I quite enjoy being a member of the Dark Mirror Court. We're smaller and more personal in a way. While I would say that....on a whole we don't want to fight, I also don't know every single member of the court. There might be one or two outliers when it comes down to 'fighting' or not." Certain daily life activities had kept him from meeting the newer members of his court. So, he couldn't honestly answer her question with a definitive 'Yes!'.

"While I can't speak for everyone. I can promise you that neither of our Royals has ever given an instruction to partake in the 'War'. We're more concerned about taking care of Mirrorspace than anything else."

For all intent and purposes it seemed as if her plan had borne fruition. Here she was getting answers that carried echoes of what Acubens had once told her. The Dark Moon Court was like a tight-knit family and while there might be a little dissension in the ranks for the most part it seemed as if everyone carried the same goal in mind. A cohesive unity that worked towards a common goal - one that didn't seem to include the bickering and friction that one could typically find after observing for sometime the interactions of those in her own faction. Closing her eyes for a moment Lacerta grimaced before shaking off the sensation of melancholy. Instead of giving into the feeling the redhead sighed before taking in Crocus as he finished speaking. As silence threatened to derail her train of thought the wind plucked at the cowl around her neck before she gave a small shrug of her shoulders. There were more questions brewing but Lacerta focused on the next two that she deemed the most important. It was with a soft clearing of her throat and lifting of her gaze that wanted to watch Crocus' reaction that she began to speak.

"I have one or two more questions that I wanted to run by you if you are still willing to answer but I feel as if they are a little more personal. I've been to Mirrorspace with a friend of mine and she told me a little about how corrupting works. If I were to choose that path would I be welcomed into your 'family,'" her voice was whisper quiet as she finished. This was the nagging thought in her mind. She knew Acubens would accept her, but the question remained ... would others?

"Or would there be any who'd resent my choice?"

Perhaps she should not have asked that but under all of this, Izobel was certainly still just a teenager and she wanted to know. Would it affect her decisions down the road - time would tell. In her mind it was better to have all the answers she could to her questions now and not regret not asking them later on.

Crocus wondered for a moment what she might be thinking. She was silent for a moment after he finished answering her question. He was worried suddenly that he might have said something that upset her, but he didn't want to lie to her and assure her that everyone in his court was peaches and rainbows. His worry drifted away a bit when she finally spoke up again.

He did have to lean in to catch the last part. "Oh, Lacerta. If someone chooses to join our family, what reason would any of us have to not welcome you? Especially if it's you choice to do so." He knew that Royals could also force corruptions on people, but that was usually reserved for extreme cases. He'd wager that most people who corrupted into his Court decided to do so on their own.

"Why, I'd even have a place for you to stay for a while if you needed it. As long as you don't mind the fact I have two other roommates. Who, by the way, would welcome you just as readily."

Upon hearing that no one would resent her for choices that she'd yet to make - something inside of her eased just a little bit more. Okay so at least one group would be welcoming if she chose to join them but in the back of her mind she still worried about others from the side she was supposed to be fighting for now. However it seemed as if though both Crocus and Acubens would be both legit welcoming to see her join their ranks. That made the redhead feel just the tiniest ray of hope that things could and would possibly work out. The offer that Crocus also laid out to the teen was also welcome news. Her answering smile to the other senshi's offer was genuine. However she wasn't quite sure on what to make of it...just because she was unsure of how such mechanics might have worked. Having known Crocus for all of a maximum of about a quarter of an hour didn't leave much to know about whom she was questioning - but it was sweet nonetheless.

"I'll remember that offer. Thank you."

Finding out that so much of what Crocus was mentioning matched what Acubens had said before made Lacerta feel less conflicted about what she wanted to do...although there was still much she'd have to do before things could progress...but she yearned for the chances that were just currently out of her reach.

"I just want to find someplace to belong."

"You're welcome, I hope I answered everything to your satisfaction." While he did see Lacerta smile, he could tell some part of her might still be looking for something. 'A place to belong', eh? It made him think back to the night of his own awakening. He had been given a choice then as well, in a way. Acubens wasn't going to force him through a mirror. But he had been warned that others would be pushier in their pressure for him to awaken. If there was one thing he had learned in his years within his court, it really was more peaceful and free of worries than any other faction.

He powered up and collected energy for Mirrorspace because he genuinely wanted to. Not because he had to or anyone was telling him to. But because it was like a second home to him.

"The Dark Mirror Court will always welcome you Lacerta. If the day comes when you want to make that transition, I'd be more than happy to be there for you. Just have whoever your friend is give me a call." It was sad in a way, to see someone so young, struggling to find a place where they felt safe.

"And you know, I might pop through this mirror more often. If you'd like to talk some more. It doesn't have to be about court things. We could talk about anything. I play the guitar. I have a sail boat. I'm engaged. About to graduate college. I have a decent amount of life experience. I'm always willing to give some advice."

The offer of what seemed to be honourable companionship was almost too much for Lacerta to take in. The fact that Crocus was willing to be around just to chat about everyday life things and not just how great the Dark Mirror Court was, to put a fine point on things, amazing and she was starting to realize just that it seemed to be the truth of what Acubens had once told her. It made the teen feel wonderful to be allowed to be included in everyday matters. Her gaze was wide as she took in the senshi that she'd effectively ambushed but was glad that she had now.

"I think I would like that Crocus. I'm always happy to just sit and chat about regular things. I may be younger than you but I have things I would love to talk about too ... but I also like to think that I can be someone that you can talk to if something is troubling you."

And there was someone else confirming that she'd be welcomed among their ranks. It'd mean changes ... certainly big ones would have to be made but Lacerta was starting to realize that maybe she could be strong enough to jump ship as it were. Acubens was willing to help and now it seemed like Crocus was offering friendship as well. Her lips twitched into a small smile as she ducked her head briefly. It felt nice to be wanted - even a small gesture like someone reaching out as if to say we want you with us was a huge thing.

"Thank you."

Lacerta was definitely a sweet girl, but it was hard to think about someone so young thinking about corrupting. He knew what it costs to do so, so he could only imagine what she might be giving up in exchange for a new life within his Court.

This wouldn't be the first time he had made a friend in the White Moon. He still met with Morgan from time to time, just to check in with her. They both shared their knowledge of things they experienced in the War. He didn't think of them as enemies. That was, not until they attacked him first.

"I wish there was a way you could get in touch with me. You could always leave a not around here or something, I'll try to check in." They had talked for a while now, and he had all the intention in the world to actually do a bit of patrolling and such today.

"Well, I feel like we had a good talk for today. I'll catch you another time, for sure." He gave her a little wave and slipped back through the mirror. He didn't want her to get caught wandering away from a chaos signature, just encase anyone else was around or close to being around.

Nodding and returning the small wave that Crocus had given as he stepped back through the mirror Lacerta couldn't help but feel as though another acquaintance had been made within the Dark Mirror Court. Even as she turned to head in the direction of her home Lacerta was processing everything that had occurred this night. Not only had Crocus been amiable to answer some questions that she had with a little bit of insecurity about her decision to go through with the idea of corrupting but she'd also seemingly made a new friend in the process. All in all it seemed like time well spent this night.

Taking care to avoid heavily populated areas Lacerta powered down in order to continue the rest of the way home as her civilian self. There was no need to draw any sort of unwanted attention to herself and that would have definitely happened if she'd remained powered.
