The following matchup is for the Television Championship, where the former world champion Edge gets an opportunity to face the Television Champion Samoa Joe for the title. Ever since defeating Chris Hero for the championship, Samoa Joe has been unstoppable, retaining the championship 3 times as well, but his toughest challenger in Edge awaits, here in the first title match of 2020.

”…You think you know me?  
Suddenly, following that famous intro, ‘Metalingus’ by Alter Bridge would begin playing, thunderous drumming being heard throughout the arena. From the gorilla position, Edge would walk out through the smoke that rose from the mouth of the ramp. Sporting a trench coat and black tights with white stripes, Edge would glare at the ring in front of him. Ignoring the crowd's restless booing, Edge walked down the ramp, flicking his wrists as he reached the spot where he would stop and make his devil horns hand sign. Edge would lower his head and decided to look down at the steel ramp, awaiting the queue..
Announcer: “From Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing two hundred forty-two pounds…. Please welcome THE RATED-R… SUPERSTAAAAAR~…. EEEEEDGEEEEEE!”
Upon being introduced, Edge would throw his arms in the air, forming his signature rock'n'roll devil horns as pyro shot up behind him. The pyro would stop going off, Edge continued walking towards the squared circle. A few feet away from the ring, Edge would run and slide in the ring, staying on the mat for a few seconds. The Rated-R Superstar would pop up and awaited for the match to begin. He would wait for his opponent, Samoa Joe!

 Backstage, Samoa Joe is seen making his way to the ring, wearing his signature black and green entrance shirt with his name on it, and carrying his signature white towel, over his shoulder. He has the face of a competitor, a real fierce competitor, ready to head down to the ring and kick some a**. He passes several people in the hallway towards the entrance curtains, and the people look scared of him. He ignores them, and he makes his way to the curtains before his music plays. Samoa Joe's intimidating theme song begins to play in the arena, with it's slow, start. The audience would rise to their feet in cheers, knowing the history of this wrestler about to make his way to the ring. He walks out from backstage, the lights shining green throughout the arena with some yellow too. He walks down the ramp with a tank top shirt on and his normal wrestling gear on as well, he stops after walking out a good distance, giving the audience a big look and looks towards the ring and walks down the ramp, being introduced with a very, very gamed expression on his face feeling the need to wanna CHOKE somebody OUT...
 
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing in at 281 pounds, SAMOOOOOAAAA... JOE!"
Joe makes his way down the ramp, to the steps. He walks up them, getting on the apron. he looks at the audience before getting in the ring, holding his towel on his neck so it doesn't fall off. He walks to the opposite ropes and does his raise of the arm taunt. He takes his shirt off, and tosses it and his towel outside of the ring. He then glares at his opponent/waits for him to come out.

Edge, irritated by Samoa Joe's presence, would immediately rush towards the samoan and go for some heavy strikes to Joe's head!

Samoa Joe gave his title to the official, and official match introductions were about to be underway when Joe got CLOBBERED by Edge with punches and stumbles backwards against the ropes, the bell ringing in the process!

Edge, wanting to keep up the offense, would approach Joe and attempted to irish whip him to the set of ropes opposing the samoan.

Caught off guard, Joe didnt have time to overpower Edge and thus was sent to the ropes and returns back towards Edge!

Edge, wanting to stop Joe, would try to meet him with a huge forearm!

Samoa Joe was met with a forearm and stumbles backwards until he was leaning on the ropes!

Seeing the chance to take the battle outside, Edge would run towards him and go for a clothesline over the top rope!

Samoa Joe was clotheslined hard enough to go over the top rope and fell to the floor and the submission machine was reeling early on.

Edge would fall over with him! Quickly, the match had turned into an outside brawl! The Rated R Superstar, now on his feet, waited for Joe to get up!

Samoa Joe would stop the irish whip by swinging around, but instead of sending Edge into the barricade, he goes for a pull in clothesline!
