Another day dawned grey and drizzly. This spring was proving to be extra wet. It was beginning to feel more like a continuation of winter than a new season to Moonbeam. Ah well, perhaps nearer the end it would perk up. If not, she supposed, there was always summer.
As usual she'd been busy over seeing the day to day of the warren, and ensuring their newest attendant was settled. Spring was often a very busy time at the pool, so she always tried to ensure everything was well prepared. As much one could assure such an outcome.
For now though, she was content to just set at the edge of the pool for a moment and enjoy the serenity before another day began in full.

Cream weary paws slowly hopped forward, through the damp grasses. His wet matted clung to his body, showing just how skinny the buck was. Fading Bark had been traveling for a few days, searching for a place for him to call home. The bun had barely gotten through the winter by himself and it was high time he found a single place he could settle down.
Those he had passed on his journey to find a home, had told him about Nymphs Pool and he wondered if this would be the place he could settle down. His ears twitched keeping an ear out for predators.
He hopped slowly as he crossed the grassy fields his brown orbs spotted a whitish figure at the edge of the pool. "Hello!" he called out to the doe, as he slowed his progress, he did not want to scare her, nor seem threatening, after all, he was here to ask if he could stay.

Moonbeam turned as a new rabbit approached her. She looked him over, noting his matted fur and how lean he was. Winter didn't look like it had been kind to him. "Hello traveler. Welcome to Nymph's Pool."
She smiled, and flicked and ear. "You look like you could use a good meal or two. All rabbits are welcome to have a nibble here before they move on. The Pool is for all of rabbit kind to enjoy." She launched into her usual speech, but tried to emphasize this stranger could enjoy some of the grass that was popping up all around the Pool. This might be her home, but she wouldn't want to send someone off in that sort of state. It simply wouldn't be right.
"Just know that you'll need to move on once you've enjoyed the Pool. Rabbits can only make their home here if they pledge themselves to the Pool. But do enjoy your visit!" She took a breath, having made it through her speech.

Ears shifting back a bit embarrassed as his stomach grumbled under him, but he waited until she offered before he began to nibble on the green grass below him. Fading Bark did not want to seem rude, nor did he want to seem like he was stealing food.
To him, grasses tasted sweet, probably because it was the first decent thing he had found to eat in a while. He savored it slightly before swallowing and taking another bite and another, slowly filling his stomach.
"Thank you" He spoke in between bites. This place seemed nice, and the rabbits were kind, well he was basing this on his first experience with this doe. Then he realized he never got her name, nor did he ever give her his. The brown fading rabbit also had a lingering question on his mind.
Swallowing the mouthful he had he straightened himself up a bit his ears shifted as he spoke to introduce himself. "I'm Fading Bark" His soft brown eyes fell upon her and before she was able to respond back with her own name he asked the lingering question, "What kind of pledge must one make to live here?"
This place was just the place he had been looking for. Soft grass, nice rabbits, perhaps he would be able to make this place his home as well.
