Tomoyo hadn't wandered far, she was rather fond of the territory that apparently Laio and Sauda had selected for the coalition they wished to form. She did find herself full of the wandering spirit today, however, which is why she'd gone to the edge of the land and was currently gazing out towards Pride Rock's point. The black, gray, and white tiger-striped, bejeweled cheetah was transfixed by the landmark, having heart mention of it from her deceased mate.

Pride rock, home to the pride lead by Mufasa and Sarabi... He'd once visited the lands though not directly, and being one to enjoy gathering information passed on what he'd heard to Tomoyo.

"I wonder what a pride cat looks like..." She mused softly aloud, white tipped tail ticking about in the grasses.

In another direction, some ways off, it was possible to see another small form of similar species slinking along in the grass. The golden stuff was so tall in areas the other animal could scarce be seen from the ground. He did not realize what he was nearing, but the youngster stopped in his tracks as the scent of another, particularly that of his own species, reached his delicate nose. He became immediately cautious, at first trying to peer over the grassy, brushy area he was in.

He then crouched, and continued on, naturally curious. The grass did thin out, and he observed the great greyish cheetah through wide blue eyes, only a few yards away.

Tomoyo slowy settled down onto her stomach, paws crossing one another in the front. This caused the rings she was wearing about one of them gave a jangling sound as she did. It was time for rest. She wasn't aware of Kiraibo until she happened to hear the grass rustling softly, at which point she glanced back, tail twitching again.

"Is someone there?" She asked curiously.

The young cheetah gazed over at the female, watching, ears flickering. "I'm here." he answered, padding out quietly, though not approaching any further. He had never before met a full-grown cheetah, only Sauda, and didn't know what to expect. His instincts told him to be careful...older creatures could be territorial sometimes. He bowed his head in respect, a bit tense.

"Good day...my name is Kirabo." he said, trying to mind his manners.

"It's alright little one," Tomoyo smiled softly, though realized upon spotting him that he wasn't quite so little, certainly not a baby. She didn't appear threatening at all, even if only for all the acessories she wore. The three metal bands on her paw, the necklace about her neck, the dingy and slightly tattered silk scarf, and the ear-ornaments. Her blue eyes cast a warm and gentle but mysterious glimmer, like one who had much to discuss. "Tomoyo doesn't intend to hurt you."

"That's good." he said, one corner of his muzzle tugging up into a light smile. He'd never seen anyone like her, and observed the objects she wore curiously, not having a clue what they were. He was inclined to think they were part of her, since he'd never seen jewelry before, but that idea seemed odd as well. He approached a bit further, steps a little hesitant still.

"It's good to see another cheetah again." he said, tail flickering softly as he seated himself.

"It's been some time for you then, I take it? What is your name?"

For her, not so long. She'd just made friends with Laio, and had no intention of straying away. She never ventured past the area that she could detect Laio's scent.

She'd noticed Kira's curiosity of the items she wore, but said nothing on it yet. She wouldn't mind if he asked, and if not, perhaps she'd share willingly.

Kirabo smiled weakly. "Kirabo..." he said, nodding his head again. "Yes, it has been a while. I don't know many other cheetah like ourselves." he said, lowering himself to lay down, feeling a bit more at ease. He wanted to ask about her shiny...things, but he couldnt find a way to phrase the question without sounding disrespectful, or foolish.

"Ah, a handsome name if I do say so myself, and I do know the feeling as well." She grinned warmly.

Finally she seemed to see it fit to answer his silent question. It wasn't as if she could have stopped herself, given how she was so fond of the items... There was no harm in speaking of them to Kirabo, she thought.

"I recieved them from my girl, in the village I was raised in. You are only the third of our kind that I've ever met, myself."

He smiled lightly at the compliment, giving a little purr. "Thank you....Tomoyo. I like your name too." he nodded quietly.

At the answer, his smile grew to a smirk, it was as if she'd read his mind. She'd probably only seen his staring. But, at the answer, he blinked, seeming puzzled. "What's a village? Mmm...I've only met another cheetah. Plenty of other things, though." he chuckled softly, playing with the dirt underneath his chalky white paw.

"Hmm, the village is a place far, far from these lands. Creatures without fur, and dark, dark skin that stand on two legs live there. They live like-"

What was the word that Kiamba mentioned?

"-a wilddog pack, looking after one another's young and hunting in groups."

She couldn't help but smile a bit more, her rings making a bit of background noise as she shuffled her white souled paws in front of her.

Kirabo blinked as he listened to her explanation. "Wow. They sound like very odd creatures." he looked down as he tried to imagine what something like that would look like. He supposed it couldn't be so strange. He was best friends with a grumpy lioness and a maned wolf, and he'd always supposed that to be quite odd.

"They're neat, what they are." he said, referring to the jewelry. "What's it called?"

"They have customs that I believe would be considered strange to any that walk on four paws, but they also don't communicate as effectively as we do. That's my opinion anyway. As for these?"

Tomoyo's smile faded to a gently quizzical expression as she thought a moment, but then the mirth returned with a faint smile, sounds rolling smoothly from her tongue once more. "Bracelet... that's what Kiamba called them, anyway."

"I should like to see such creatures, someday." Kirabo said, his curiosity great. He loved making new discoveries, and it happened every day. The cub was beginning to slow down, taking an interest in the smaller details of what went on in the world around him.

"Bracelet." he repeated, and watched. They were shiny, and that was always interesting. They shone like dew-covered plants in the morning time. "Very nice." he said, almost a little jealous.

Tomoyo smiled, eyeing the bracelets... If there were a way to remove them, perhaps she could've given him one, but they'd been given to her at a young age and her paw grew into them. They were unremoveable now. It seemed of little consequence. Kiamba spoke of creatures like themselves that could make jewelry even with their paws, maybe she could learn, and do the same for her new little friend here. For now she offered him a sweet smile.

"You like them, Kirabo? Perhaps someday I'll be able to make something like them for you."

Kirabo gave a pleasant smile, seeming to delight at the idea. "I'd love that." he blinked, another question popping into his mind. "What are they made of, anyway?" he asked peering curiously once again. As before, the shiniest thing he could ever remember seeing was water, but these items were solid. How strange! He hadn't a clue what metal was, never having been introduced to things affiliated with man before. Not even by Tobari...

"I'm not quite sure, it's made from something they used in the village I think," She squinted her eyes at the three bracelets, but then went on with a point of her nose. "Cept for the middle one, that one was made of something Kiamba called Ivory, said it was from elephant tusks, that's why it's white. Bones bleached in the sun or something."

Sawia meant to stay in the hollow baobob tree as her mother had told her to; she really did. But then something caught her eye, and she'd forgotten all about Tomoyo's orders.

It turned out to be a hornbill who'd landed on the dry ground, scavenging for insects. Sawia turned to make sure her sister wasn't looking, and darted out from the baobob tree to investigate.

That was interesting. The monochromatic cheetah cub hadn't seen anything like it before. She crept closer, coming within three feet of the creature. The hornbill, however, wasn't too keen on having a cheetah cub look in on his affairs, and took to the air, only to land not far away beneath another tree. It didn't take Sawia too much effort to follow it, straying farther and farther away from the makeshift den.

The bird by this point had had enough, and when Sawia for a fourth time got too close, he turned, spreading his wings and jabbing his wikedly sharp curved bill in the general direction of her face. Sawia screeched, startling the hornbill into flight once more in a flurry of feathers, and ran at full speed in a given direction.

It happened to be the direction of her mother. Sawia caught sight of the familiar black striped cat and attatched herself to Tomoyo's front leg, still quivering with fear, her tiny unretractable claws probably causing her mother at least some discomfort.

Kirabo had jumped slightly when the distant shriek of the young cheetah had reached his ears, and was very surprised to see the little striped cat skitter in to cling to her mother. He assumed they were related in that way at least, due to the coloration, and, of course, the stripes.

He smiled lightly, his attention returning to his and Tomoyo's previous conversation, looking a bit surprised as he reviewed this new info. "Goodness, from elephants?" he chuckled softly, ears flickering. These creatures must be some good hunters, to be able to go after an elephant. Or...perhaps they simply took the bone after the elephants were dead.

Apparently Tomoyo had been mistaken in thinking that her little ones wouldn't find their way into trouble without her there to keep watch. From the corner of her eye she'd noticed her oldest daughter creeping into view slightly in the distance. She observed with a mother's watchful but unworried eye as the little female began harassing a hornbill, and though she knew Sawia was asking for trouble she did not plan to intervene just yet.

Her attention diverted to Kira for just a moment, and in that instant a heart stopping squawk ripped her eyes back towards the direction her child was. She was absolutely relieved to see Sawia running towards her, unharmed. The striped mother only winced slightly as her daughter's claws bit into her foreleg, the jeweled paw coming up to rub the child's back soothingly, and with a little bit of a teasing tone that was meant to ease the tension of the situation--

"Had enough of terrorizing the locals, dearest?"

She leant in, running her tongue across Sawia's head-- just between her eyes and between her ears --a few times to calm her down while keeping an ear turned to Kirabo's answer.

"Mm, I've never seen how they actually do that, myself. I've heard from Kiamba that they're horribly large creatures, it makes you wonder how on Earth something that fragile could take something so large down. They truely shouldn't be underestimated... though the ones of my village seemed peaceful enough to me. Kirabo, this is my oldest daughter, Sawia'na'mifu, or just Sawia. Sawia, sweetheart, this is mummy's friend, Kirabo."

She lifted warm blue eyes to the juvinile male.

"My youngest is still back at the den, sleeping I hope. Would you mind if we moved our conversation there, so I can keep an eye on them both-- since it seems it's inevitable that they have their father's wander-lust."

At this she shot a tolerant smirk down to her daughter.

Sawia said nothing, but buried her face in the short fur of her mother's foreleg, accepting Tomoyo's comforting washes. Her trembling stilled after a few moments, and she plucked up the courage to look around and finally notice Kirabo.

"Oh... hi," she greeted, a little shyly. Detatching herself from Tomoyo's leg, she composed herself in a sitting position, tail twitching.

Although she hadn't noticed when Sawia snuck out, seeing as she remained dead asleep inside the tree, sprawled on her back with her paws up in the air, her sister's screech shortly after penetrated Kili's ears.

Jerking awake, the blue cub rolled to her feet, wide blue eyes glancing wildly around. Her sister was gone!! Ears swept back in dismay and even a little fear, and Kili very carefully stuck her head out of the tree, before creeping out of the protection of the hollow.

Feeling very small, and looking very lost, Kili called out uncertainly, "Saaawiaaa~?"

One of Tomoyo's rounded ears perked and she shifted her attention over her shoulder in the direction of Kilinda.

"Over here, Kilindi,"

Kirabo smiled. The cubs were cute, and very interestingly colored. He nodded his head, not dropping his polite disposition even for a little cub. "It's nice to meet you." he said, ears perking as he heard the other voice cry out.

(yeek, really sorry guys x_x)
