Uzo lurked in the shadows at the edges of the pool clearing and watched all of the rabbits going about their daily business. She glared in annoyance at all of them, and at this mission her king had sent her on. though she would NEVER admit to that. She was happy to do anything her king needed of her. She lived to serve him. But... this mission was trying her patience. It wouldn't be so awful except for the crowds of other rabbits who seem to have had a similar idea and were visiting the pool. With a silent sigh, she patted the vines strapped to her back that were holding her precious cargo. Correction, her king's precious cargo. She smiled widely and rapturously as she thought of her king and this special mission he had trusted her with. It might not be her favorite mission as of yet, but it was her and her alone King Joxer had tasked with his most precious items. The offering stone was one of few that the king had in his posession. He was constantly seeking more and hoarded them as only her great king could. Only a few days ago had a lucky forager brought forth the new stone. A shining crystalized stone that was so beautiful the king couldn't part with it even to go to the Treasury and had instead kept it in his throne room with his other most prized posessions. Earlier that morning he had summoned Uzo to him, and told her of his great and glorious plan. Surely, he had said, surely something this unique and precious could only bring about even more precious and unique things. He had handed the shining geode to her reverently, along with the smooth offering stone, and told her of her mission. Take the stones to the pool, leave them as an offering, and do not leave until she returned with something... magnificent. Uzo's eyes were practically glowing with rapture as she crept toward the outer edge of the pool, trying not to be noticed by any others. She took great care to place both stones side by side along the water's edge. As faithful and loyal as only one so invested in her king can be, she stayed as a statue at the water. Determined to neither move nor speak at all until something occurred with which she could bring to her king and prove again and again how she was his true servant. Uzo herself had no idea what these stones were supposed to do. It wasn't her place to know how these things worked. She was here only to do what her king asked of her and to do his bidding. Did Uzo truly understand what she was getting herself into? Not at all. Did it matter in the least when she had been trusted with such a monumentally important task? Not even a little bit. Uzo would always serve King Joxer unquestionably in whatever he asked of her, because that was what a loyal servant did. And Uzo... well she might be slightly crazy but she was crazy for her king and her warren and her mind... that was just fine.
