BOOKS ? MY WAY TO ESCAPE
When at school it was Jayne Eyre
Wuthering Heights and Vanity Fair
plays by Shakespeare, poems by Keats
a book by Tolkien and such rare treats
now if I want I can go and look
at my favourite sort of book
it?ll take me places I can only dream
meeting creatures that real seem
to places of the strange and magic
none of the creatures are tragic
and when all is finished what a bore
back to that place I was before.
