-Prompt- The night is cool but not unbearably cold; somewhere, in the distance, a faint tune carries on the breeze. Whether you choose to follow it or not is up to you but the tune is vaguely familiar. Maybe you can place it, maybe you can’t, but it resonates with you and you find yourself full of emotion. If you choose to follow the music you wind up in an isolated lake in the park. It’s frozen over, but you see a figure skating across the ice, playing a violin. They will skate and play for as long as you watch, but at some point--between one blink and the next--they disappear, like a shadow on the wind. The tune echoes but fades quickly, leaving behind only a strange emptiness. The figure never communicates and never leaves the lake; they never stop playing but if anyone gets too close they simply disappear. The music seems to play on any night it snows in the park.Drew was walking home from the library, when he stopped. There was something in the air. A sound, a note, a tune, something he'd heard before. Not in this life maybe. Something played in his mind, was he losing someone? No! Come back! Who was he losing again? Mindless in anguish, he followed the tune running after the sound, not bothering to pay attention where he was going or if he was brushing against people as he ran. xdeathxbyxlovex hope this is ok, we can change anything including the title biggrin

Anniliese was just enjoying a walk. despite it snowing and the cold temperature. It was not so bad outside. Perfect weather for a nice leisure walk or to play in the snow. She was nice and bundled up. She was heading towards the park when she stopped. She tilt her head. She could hear something. A tune of some sort. "Where have I heard this tune before?" She decided to follow the sound and see where it might lead her. ((80))

Drew found himself kneeling by a frozen lake, still sort of confused. A figure was skating on the lake, seemingly playing the violin and playing that tune! As he tried to focus, he saw others arriving, if a little confused themselves. He didn't care, he was in too much anguish. Somewhere in his mind the words "Winter Magical Convergence" floated through, but again he didn't care. He called out for the one he had supposedly lost.

Sailor Hawk Sorry for super late response. sweatdrop Annilese made her way to the lake. Drawn by the melody of the music. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on the music playing. She was trying to figure out if she did hear the song before where she heard it and was she with someone? It revoked an lost memory inside of her. ((56))

xdeathxbyxlovex Sorry for my late response. Now Drew knew who he had lost, Granpa, and Gramma. His guilt played in the song he wanted to curl up, wanted to - suddenly it was like a record scratch - what? His guilt? He had put the guilt of his Granpa's death behind, had reconciled with Granma, just before she died. If anything, there was peace. He looked around, he wasn't the only one caught in the twisted magic. There was a young woman nearby, who seemed to be confused. He looked out onto the lake, and there seemed to be an unclear figure playing a violin partially hidden in the while ice skating. Well here goes everything... He thought and took a step out on the ice towards the figure. The ice held. He continued toward them. And when he got within 5 feet they simply vanished, violin, song and all. At which point... the ice cracked beneath his feet, and opened a fissure wide enough that, of course he fell in. Oh Crap he thought just before he hit the water.

She was fixated at the lake all she knew was that she was about to step into a painful memory. She didn't want to relive that horrible moment. She lost her friend. Her only friend. She had tried to put that out that incident out of her mind for years and to all of a sudden be thrown back to the past was killiing her inside. She had to find a way to break out of it. She was able to break out of it for a bit and noticed two things. 1. The music was coming from a figure on the lake. 2. She was not the only one in the park. The other person a boy from the looks of it had stepped onto the now frozen lake. They must be trying to reach the figure. Said figure was now gone. "Where did they go?" Anniliese turned back toward the boy just to see the lake had cracked and he had fallen in. She started panicking. "What do I do?" She tried to remember what she read about what to do in events like this. "Preach, Teach, Throw...." She forgot the rest. She did know she had to calm him. "Stay calm try not to stuggle. She looked around to see if there was anything she could throw to him.

Drew was in shock, suddenly ice cold, and without air. Somewhere above, there was someone telling him something. It was hard to make out through the water in his ears. "Don't struggle." It was hard not to. He was in a fight for his life!
