Polar Sun dozed, head on her front paws, outside the front of the pack den. Small snowflakes, a light dusting, gently fell from the sky, though the sky was mostly blue with only a few fluffy white clouds. Her mate, Marble, lay curled next to her, his head resting on her back. His head rose and fell with her every breath, but the movement did not seem to wake him. Only the two of them were out here currently, though movement could be heard inside the den and at least a few pack members had already headed out for the day. Tufa, Polar's loyal hare, kept watch over the pair, her large ears twitching at the slightest of sounds.

She'd been dreaming again. While the dream had been different, the same thing was always there at the end. And Evie was positive that she understood what it meant now! There were just.... instincts that spoke to her. Or so she told herself. But one thing was definitely for sure. There was no way to contain the absolute excitement that rose with the chocolate shewolf that morning. Cuddled comfortably as she had been with her mate, head tucked into his side, Evie went from calm to practically vibrating when she opened her eyes, rolling to her feet in one swift movement.
"Fell! Fell! Fell Field wake up!" She gently nuzzled her mate before all but knocking him over with a nudge and bounding around in a circle.
"I had that dream again! I think I know what it means. Or maybe it's maternal instinct? That's a thing, right?" She still pranced around her mate. "Ooooh we have to go talk to your mother! She would know the answer!" And besides, they deserved to know they were getting grandpups.
Evie whined, finding it impossible for her to sit still. She couldn't help it. They were going to be parents! And she was going to get her own little family just like the loving family she had found here and Evie just couldn't contain that amount of joy that was coursing through her veins. She had to share it! And the best wolves to share the news with were, of course, Marble and Polar Sun. They were both like parents to her as well, and this was something special.
"Pleeeeease?!" She begged, front half her body lowering in a play bow while her tail continued to wag endlessly. Okay, so she totally could have been a little more considerate of waking her mate up.... but puppies were in their future!
