Quote: The weather report called for snow, and a lot of it! Overnight, a foot of snow has covered Destiny City in a beautiful blanket of white, and schools and most businesses are closed! When you venture outside however, the air feels almost temperate, and picking up the snow is a lot like picking up some sun warmed sand at the beach. What might have caused this? Is it global warming playing some sort of trick, or just the imps that seem to linger in the city? The strangely warm snow day lasts for only a day though, by the next day, the air is bitterly cold again, and all of that wonderful snow is somehow gone without a trace! This was a friendship that would have gotten them in trouble.
On the one hand she would have been chastised with consorting with the enemy with no immediate intentions to preach him towards the light, on the other hand, he also didn't seem to be overly interested in forcing her to succumb to chaos either. It was a strange relationship in which individual simply existed in one another's presence to have fun.
Provided that his superiors never found out and those she deemed her friends never came to realise the truth, it was safe to assume that Order and Chaos could exist in a state of equilibrium and simply converse as anyone should have been able to. That being said there were elements of their friendship that might have raised an eyebrow or two in normal circles, but in the world of Order-Born warriors and Chaos-Born warriors, it seemed perfectly normal.
For example, the red head now considered it sport to locate her friend and 'jump' him. 'Think fast' might as well have been her calling card as she tossed small objects at his feet. Whether it be sticks, small stones or something equally harmless, there was normally some sort of projectile moving towards Fettelite when she was in the immediate vicinity.
This morning though?
Heh.
This morning it was lukewarm snowballs.
From atop the tree the senshi balanced carefully on the branches and kept as still as possible. With only a shred of light to give her away at this time of the morning she might have gone unnoticed...alternatively he might be on to her this time and she'd find herself having to think fast!

There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that December was a bit of a slow learner. Despite something having obvious intent behind it, he was much more likely to think it repeated accidents than a trend of any sort. The words 'Oops!' 'It's okay!' and 'Don't worry about it!' filled his vocabulary much more than it should most of the time, forgiving any sort of slight against him with a smile and a thumbs up.
But eventually he learned when something wasn't quite so accidental. It took maybe ten or eleven tries to figure it out, but he finally put two and two together. And luckily for him, he was also eventually smart enough to realize it wasn't spiteful at all!
They were playing! They were actually having a fun time with their little 'spars' and tricks between one another! It gave him a little bit of hope, in a way, that maybe the war between their factions could end. Maybe they could be the first friends out there to be on both sides and actually fight for peace!
Except he wasn't that smart to consider anything deeper than shallow hopes. Especially since he still could not discern one person's aura from another. But when one lingered nearby, just out of sight, and did not attack him just yet, he had the biggest hope that it was Adorea, and prepared himself.
As he trekked slowly through the strangely warm snow, he quickly started to pile up more and more snowballs in the crook of his arm. None of them melted at his touch, nor did they sting his hands with their usual icy n**, so he could hoard them all, ready to strike!
"I know you're out there! No point in hidin'! Come meet your maker!" he called out to her, wherever she was hiding, his voice laced with a laugh and a smile on his face. "The maker of SNOW BALLS!"

"Excuse me but rules of engagement state that we should be on equal footing," the voice replied from the trees. Oh she'd seen him arming himself, she knew that more than one snowball was down there and she had totally made that rule up. All was fair in love and snowball wars and if Fettel was the better armed of the two then it was likely she'd come out the loser in this one.
However, her voice had given her position away and high up in the tree tops he'd be able to spot her crouching. She'd taken to bouncing the ball in her hand, tossing it upwards before catching it again in her palm, but she hadn't yet made use of all the snow in the trees. If she was smart she could totally make use of all the flakes lining the branches... but that was all dependent on whether or not most of it got dislodged before then.
"Just gonna point out that the 50 snow balls you got hidin' back there ain't fair play," she teased. "It's not as if I don't have a snowball launcher," she added.
Admittedly she hadn't actually thrown her snowball yet which meant, for now at least, she was wide open and if he couldn't hit her now then he deserved what the reign of terror Adorea was about to bestow upon him!

“The rules of engagement do not work in snow ball fights! It’s all or nothing, confirmed mutually assured destruction on both sides.” He was very much proud of himself for knowing that term, and probably using it right. Her voice seemed to come from up in the trees, he could tell that! But which one...
Which ever one she was in, it was certain that she was above her, and that she couldn’t stay there forever!
“And you gotta be on equal footing! Like, actual footing, feet on the ground! So teeeechnically, you’re breaking the rules too! But that’s okay! I’mma win no matter what!” With the power of a Captain behind him, he threw a snowball into a tree. Not exactly aiming at her, but at the tops of the trees, hoping to knock down enough snow to maybe flush her out.
And he threw more. Over and over and over again until a satisfying avalanche of snow came tumbling out of the trees, hopefully exposing the Senshi hiding there.
“Come on down, Dory! If you do, I promise I’ll only use half my ammo all at once!” He was lying, obviously. He’d have to use ALL of it!

The avalanche of snow within the trees had the desired affect, or rather, it sort of did. Having targeted the correct trees he had managed to unseat her and in doing so she had fallen to the ground with the vast majority of the snow from above burying her underneath. Not the most epic of starts to the snowball fight he might have envisioned but certainly an extremely strong opening on the part of the Negaverse captain.
...In the war of snowballs, the Negaverse were currently at an advantage.
The senshi was going to have to up her game if she was to bring honour back to the White Moon. For that to even begin though, she was going to have to at least come back with some form of return fire that would at least even the odds. Sure he might have had plenty of snowballs to hand but she had stuff too, or she would, right after she managed to squirrel her way out of the mound of snow she'd been squashed under.
After a few minutes of potential senshi 'suffocation', the snow did begin to move though and much like the little mounds moles often left as they dug through the fields, it would have been easy enough to spot where she was. Another few seconds and she came to an abrupt halt, before an overly enthusiastic 'RAWR!' erupted from the snow and the senshi plunged out, thrusting her arms out with as much force as possible.
...The intention?
Well, you know those moments in swimming pools or oceans when one friend sends a tidal wave of water after the other? That was very much the intention, just with the much more solid, weighty and chilling snow!

While that had been his goal, to flush her out, he, for some reason, hadn't expected her to be so utterly and completely buried by all the snow! Fettel thought that perhaps it would have been more like how the old cartoons were, where snow would fall and just a small but solid plop of snow would end up on her head.
Not this mess where she was buried like a whole different type of cartoon!
And... He giggled at it.
How could he not! He could clearly see her rummaging under the snow, and she was okay, so that relieved any worry from him (though, had he truly been worried, he would have run over immediately to help).
What he didn't expect was the sudden wave of snow that knocked him right over and buried him alive!
Even now he was laughing, it muffled under the mass of snow he was under.
"Noo!! Betrayed by my own hubris!"

She had the good graces to reach out and brush away some of the snow, affording him the courtesy of at least his head, neck and shoulders being entirely free from the snow she'd coated him in. He was strong enough to get out of the rest himself, but in the snowball wars she might have at least evened the odds, he'd buried her first but she'd returned the favour!
"Can't you ride the wave?" She asked in jest, holding out her hand to help him up if he needed it.
"That's like the perfect chance to channel the awesome and show your opponent who's boss," she added. Not that Adorea could 'surf' on snow herself, not without skis or a board anyway. Nevertheless depending on the size of her uh 'pocket' she might have to give it some consideration in the future. After all, if she was at home more regularly as of late than maybe learning to traverse certain terrain was useful.
...Excluding the fact that both skis and boards were awkward as hell to take off and a fair number of agents would probably laugh if she went 'please hold' while pulling off the weighty boots.
"I'd ask if you needed a coat but..." she glanced briefly at the snow. "As usual this city is being weird, that stuff isn't even cold."
She paused.
"I would offer you a towel if I had one though."

”I don’t think I’ve even seen a wave in real wife unless you count a wave in a bathtub. OH or a heat wave” with his hair cleared, he quickly began to brush away the rest of the snow from himself. The idea of surfing like his big brother once told him he did was fascinating! But Destiny City was Landlocked, and he couldn’t exactly drive... Or had transportation.
Maybe one day he’d see the ocean!
“Right? Why in the world is it so warm?! It’s so freaking weird. I’d say global warming, but I don’t think physics and chemistry work that way. “ Even he knew hot stuff melted and thawed cold stuff! It was basic physics!
“That’s really sweet of you, but I’m okay! But why were you waiting for me? Or were you waiting to ambush anyone who mosied on by?”

"What, ever?" She seemed surprised by this revelation. To her, this was a bit of an odd revelation, if only because even her school mates had wandered off to lake fronts and beach fronts during the holiday period. Sure she might have gone further afield but every now and then she was reminded that not everyone was like her or her friends, there were those who may not necessarily have been able to enjoy the finer things in life.
...Even if 'finer' was just plunging into a lake for the giggles.
"What about that one they just built?" she asked curiously. She hadn't swam in it herself and she hadn't been there since the last time she'd had a fight with that corrupted senshi, but at the very least it was there. "That's not super far from here," she added. "You could totally get to it in an hour or two."
A momentary pause did cause her to wrinkle her nose at his final question though, admittedly she hadn't been waiting for him but he had been a pleasant surprise. Of all the Negaverse agents that could of crossed her path this one was probably the one she'd be happiest to see.
"Well I was actually just...watching," she admitted. "Keeping an eye out in case things went bad for folks that didn't deserve for it to go bad," she explained and cupped her hands behind her head with a small sigh. "It's what I do most of the time, just watch and wait so I can pounce on anything that looks like it's about to hurt someone."
"...Kinda done looking for direct fights, those don't tend to go well for me," she confessed.

"Nope, never!" He responded, his voice surprisingly cheerful despite the sad fact he had never seen waves. "I haven't had the chance to go up there yet. I.. Uh... I can't drive, and the bus would probably make it four hours instead of two, since the summer festival isn't going on. Hmm... But maybe one day! It would be nice!"
Him and Nataniel on the beach, having fun, splashing around.. All the sand and sun, and he even heard that place had some pretty spooky caves too! It would honestly be a blast if he could make it! Fettelite smiled at himself, realizing that it was a little silly to be so excited about the beach in the middle of winter.
He could save those good feelings for later.
"You know, that's very nice of you. Not looking for trouble, but preparing for it. Wanting to save people! Wanting to help. It's all very... Noble! Very kind and very... Just good! I think you should be proud of wanting to help, even if fighting goes badly. Maybe you should get someone beefy to help you out! Someone to do the punchin' when you can focus on the saving!"

Now that he mentioned it, she didn't drive either and to get to the beach she'd have to call in a favour from her own parents. It did rather throw a spanner in the works, the lack of freedom to go where she pleased, and this was probably something she was going to have to think over. She could have been driving for years now but why bother when everything was within walking distance where she lived?
"Hm..." she pursed her lips. "Now there's a thought, both of us should probably at least have a licence," she said with a chuckle. There would be some in her class who would probably have laughed at the fact she didn't have one, but there would be others who would get it... those like her who had been a bit too privileged and simply hadn't needed one.
Food for thought.
"So do you know anyone with muscle?" she asked curiously. "Or are you just suggesting I wander out and lasso me a tough guy, tame him, and then let him do the hard stuff?" she teased. She did however pause briefly and press a finger to her lower lip. "Or a girl, now that I think about it, you just said beefy so anything goes," she acknowledged with a grin.

"Or teleport! Since I can do that, we could totally teleport to the beach! I'll practice for when summer gets here, and then we can both go together! Probably a bit spooky during the night, but it's still an adventure to look forward to!" The idea of driving simply went into one ear and out the other. After all, you need a car to drive and that cost money, something he really didn't have much of.
But his mind wandered on and he took her question seriously, crossing his arms over his chest and squinting in thought.
"I do know a few... My big brother has lots of muscle... Oh! But yeah, that's a good idea! Just find a big beefy person and have them do all of it! Then you can be the pretty powered healer who everyone just falls in love with, Florence Nightingale style!"

"Awww, did you just call me pretty?" she teased with an impish grin.
It was a nice idea to think about though, having a team where maybe she did have the back-up she needed to stay safe and not repeatedly hobble home. For once it would be nice for her to not have to wait for certain injuries to recover before she went outside. She'd been lucky enough that she hadn't looked particularly bad when around her parents but one day that luck would run out and to be honest... She would prefer it ran out after she had back up.
"Looks like we've got a plan though," she added with a nod. "You work on your teleporting and if all else fails I'll figure out another couple of ways for us to get there," she mused. "Either way, we're going to the beach in summer so that we can play in the sea," she said with a firm nod. She liked the idea of a vacation even if she did have to stay more local than she was used to.

”Yes I did! The absolute prettiest Senshi I’ve every met!” Truth be told, he meant every word of that. Ignoring the fact that he had maybe met one other senshi in his life, and all he could remember was fists. Against that comparison, Dory could have been Lady Aphrodite herself!
“YES!! I’m all for this! Ooh, I can’t wait, I’ll practice and practice and practice! I need to look up a map where the beach is, and uh... Maybe save up some money! Oh, or we could go picnic-style! That would be fun too, right? Ooh, but should I go practice now? I can go practice, and you can find your beefy man to help you out!”

"We'll go picnic style," she waved her hand, there was no need for them to make it super expensive and they could have fun with a way simpler set-up. Besides, showing up as they were in front of some poor bystander would probably cause more questions than it really should. Well, unless they could convince said assistant that the pair of them had just come from a convention and yes, she was in fact playing the role of the villain.
"It's more fun anyway, you get to see what people are really like and what they do to their food," she teased. She was weird when it came to eating certain cookies and thus she was to be judged for that, for all she knew he could be odd when it came to sandwich construction!
"It's probably a good idea for us not to stick around too long though," she sighed, clearly unimpressed by the whole thought. "Someone might see us and then there'll be questions and..." she rolled her eyes. She'd have liked it if life was so much more simple but at least she could look forward to some fun later at the beach.
...At the time they'd be going there wouldn't be many people at all, right?
"I'll go and find me a beefy guy, or try anyway," she grinned. "Bit of a weird conversation but at least it'll be a memorable meeting, eh?"
