π³πππππ π²πππππποΈ½ Design your own snow globe -or- ornament! This contest will be judged on both creativity and skill. Please use one of the templates below. As long as I can still tell the template was used, feel free to make any changes you'd like. c: οΈ½ Choose whichever template you'd like to decorate. All entries will be judged together for one set of prizes. οΈ½ Use your favorite art program (can be MS Paint) or print it out and color with traditional methods. οΈ½ When you're finished, please upload your drawing to an image hosting site (like imgur.com) and post the art in this thread to enter.οΈ½ If you have any questions or need help with anything, please let me know! You may ask in this thread or send a PM. οΈ½ As stated in the first post, entries are due by December 26th at 11:59 pm PST. Each person is welcome to submit multiple entries. οΈ½ If you don't already have a favorite art program, here are some possible programs to check out
https://sketch.io/sketchpad/ - This is a coloring program that works in Chrome. I don't think flash is required. It usually comes recommended by Eternal Rebellion. I found it in one of her threads. <:
Her instructions for opening an image in sketchpad are:
On Sketchpad: (Right Click > Copy Image, then on the app, press CTRL + V or Right Click > Paste.)
https://www.sumopaint.com/paint/ - This is a coloring program that runs in your browser. Flash is required. It didn't feel very user friendly to me but I think it's worth checking out. You get to use two layers for free.
Instructions: Save a template to your computer. Scroll down once the page loads and enable flash to run. Go to File > Open from my computer > and then select the template from wherever you saved it to
https://www.gimp.org/ - This program must be downloaded to your computer. It's similar to Photoshop, but it's free. It's a full fledged editing program and not easy to use if you don't already have some experience with similar software. There's a learning curve.
https://sketchbook.com/mobile - This is a powerful app that works on your phone or tablet. I've spent many hours using this app an love it. It's available on Android and iOS. I don't know why this page says it's only a free seven day trial, because the app is free now. It has layers. And you can insert one of these images and color them.
pro - I find it easier to draw with a stylus (or finger) than using a mouse.
There are also a lot of other free art apps... just gotta find the right one for you. (And one that lets you insert an image)

οΈ½ Thank you all! Sorry that it took a few days to get back to you guys with the judging results. I had to recruit two other people to help talk it out. And this is what we came up with: π΅ππππ πΏππππ  οΈ½ SweetSorrow101
We loved how full your overall scene was. There's even snow in the snow globe. c:

It was a close call, but your entry gained a slight edge over the others for the humor. ;D The greeting wrapping along with the base of the globe was also a nice touch.

οΈ½ Contest idea is based on the art contests that Eternal Rebellion has held. οΈ½ Banners were created using Fotor and the fonts amaticsc and rock salt: Fotor οΈ½ Thread colors were picked off of Computer Hope's list: Computer Hope οΈ½ Text symbols from: Cool Symbol οΈ½ Fancy text (monospace) from: Cool Symbol οΈ½ The ornament and snow globe templates were created by me (sdrawkcab) and the gifs were also created by me.
