A: Hakan Degotoga (Polette) vs. Mahiri Ansoomse (*Greenie)

This was the first year that Hakan was able to participate in the Sky Ceremony, and he was excited for it. It was his first real chance to show himself to the bulk of the pride, and the young male was eager to attempt this first splash. Standing across from his opponent, he could feel a slight twinge of nerves.

"I am Hakan Degotoga, from the Wolf Clan." He started with an introduction, taking these first moments to steel himself.

A familiar twang of nerves hit Mahiri as he approached his partner. The Sky Ceremony held a special place in his heart, all in thanks to his father. He recalled being told stories of his fathers attempts during the ceremony, and although he hadn't successfully beaten the current champion or previous ones for that matter, he still made his best effort.

Mahiri could only hope to do the same and so he signed himself up. "Hello, Hakan Degotoga. I am Mahiri Ansoomse, from the Sky Clan." His lips pulled into a warm, inviting grin. He hadn't been so excited and self conscious in his life.
