The sun had been his constant companion as he traveled through the forest, some of it seeming familiar, like perhaps he'd traveled it with Driftwood? Other areas surprisingly... unfamiliar. Storm wasn't completely certain he had been in this part of the forest. Of course, it all looked the same to him most of the time, with a landmark here or there... or perhaps a scent marker that he knew. But not here. There was a mix of curiosity and a little apprehension. He was currently on his own, having felt his soul tugged in this direction. Much as he enjoyed traveling with others, he couldn't keep his paws from going where they willed.

"But unfamiliar trees are lonely." He spoke softly to himself.

His sunshine companion had begun to creep slowly further along its trail, setting the forest ablaze in dusky hues and dancing shadows. Storm felt a dull ache in his paws, knowing he was going to have to seek shelter soon. But something still compelled him on.

"It really is rather bothersome, you know." He said with a small, dramatic sigh. "Why can't you tell me what draws you?" He questioned himself. "Or where I am to go..."

Sighing, Storm kept up his pace for a while more. Until his nose started to pick up scents. Strange scents. Not the scents of soothing trees, pines and forest. He gave pause, letting his nose do a little work. Other wolves? A territory? Ears lowering a little, Storm regarded his surroundings. Perhaps this was as far as he could go?

Looking up towards the sky, the white wolf realized the trees were thicker. He could not see the evening sky very well from here. "A sign, I would say. This is where I shall wait out the night." How lonely.
